Dallas, TX (PRWEB) March 7, 2005 -- AGUIRRECorporation announced that Gary Roden, executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) of AGUIRREcorporation, Dallas, was officially sworn in as Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) 2005 national chairman on Sun., Feb. 20 during the opening general session of ABC's 2005 national convention in Orlando, Fla. Roden began his term as ABC national chairman on Jan. 1, 2005

Roden has more than 20 years of construction industry experience, today serving as executive vice president and chief operating officer of AGUIRREcorporation, a 55-person team including architects, engineers and general contractors that provides full service design and construction services. Roden has been with AGUIRREcorporation since 1996, and oversees many activities at the company that incorporate the use of centralized environmental controls, project programming, project budgeting and design as well as construction management.
As 2005 ABC National Chairman, Roden leads ABC's national executive committee and board of directors, guides the national initiatives of the association and serves as its spokesperson.
Previously, Roden served as ABC's Region 3 vice chairman, representing the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. Roden also served on the ABC Board of Directors for four years. At the chapter level, Roden has served as chairman of the board of directors of ABC's North Texas Chapter. Roden is also past chairman of the North Texas chapter's Legislative committee. Roden has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.
