New Gas Sensor for Yacht Watch Enhances Vessel Safety

Compulogic has announced the addition of a new LPG gas sensor with SMS alert message capability to the Yacht Watch product range.

(PRWEB) March 21, 2005 -- The Yacht Watch gas sensor will detect the presence of LPG, propane, butane, methane and hydrogen gas and send an SMS warning message via the Yacht Watch system alerting owners and harbour staff of a potentially dangerous gas leak.

The sensor is designed to send an alarm when a gas concentration equal to 10 percent of the lower explosive limit is detected.

Yacht Watch is a system that allows boat owners to receive alarms and other information from an unattended yacht or boat. Emergency conditions, for example flooding, fire, power failure or intruder entry are immediately notified to the owner's mobile telephone and up to three other mobile numbers. Additionally, the user can make a call to a boat and receive information from NMEA instrument systems enabling up to the minute weather, tide depth, position and other data to be remotely monitored. All information is presented in a clear and easy to read format on the Mobile's display.

The Yacht Watch system requires no subscription and can use any standard pay-as-you-go SIM card.

The Yacht Watch system is designed and built in the UK and backed by full technical support, a one year warranty and supplied with detailed user documentation.
