Nonprofit organization Forms Strategic Partnerships to Build Safer Homes Along the Gulf Coast
Economic National Underprivileged Foundation mission is to revitalize the community, educate young adults on socio-economic issues through advocacy, and access to equity capital through entrepreneurship.
(PRWEB) October 15, 2005 -- Economic National Underprivileged Foundation (ENUF) has designed the "The Post Hurricane LMI Development Project" for Low/moderate Income Residents affected by Hurricane Katrina. It is integrated with the organizations "Project Turnaround" (PTA) which is the human capital component of the project. Project Turnaround will create jobs and develop unskilled young adults 18-30 years of age in low-moderate income communities impacted by natural disasters. The job skills start with marketing and progress towards business management, business development, and business ownership.
"The Post Hurricane LMI Development Project" will provide both job training and employment opportunities in the construction trade fields. The fact is that New Orleans Louisiana and other affected areas along the Gulf Coast will be rebuilt and these cities currently need everything under sun to create a new and better future. This has provided a unique opportunity for construction projects and employees, which are needed immediately. Studies show that roughly 160,000 residences and business will require some sort of restoration ranging from roofing work to complete demolishing.
ENUF has parnered with Custom Super Homes to build homes that are sturdier and more water-resitant than traditional homes.
