Serious About Safety – HSS and Turner Access Ltd.
Turner Access and HSS have together developed a new product that tackles the problem of working at height, providing a safe, low-level access solution: the AlphaStep (podium).
(PRWEB) October 17, 2005 -- Of the 70 fatalities in the construction industry in the past twelve months, almost half of those were caused by falls from height. In 2003/2004, 67 people died and nearly 4000 suffered a serious injury as a result of a fall from height in the workplace.
As the Health and Safety Executive announce that they are to launch a major campaign next year to target falls from height, and as there has been a greater focus in general on working at height, in part due to the new Work at Height regulations, Turner Access and HSS have together developed a new product that tackles this problem head on, providing a safe, low-level access solution: the AlphaStep (podium).

The demand for the AlphaStep and other Turner Access low-level access equipment such as the SigmaDeck and OmegaDeck has been so great that the company is now in the process of expanding its factory premises and resources at the Glasgow Headquarters.
