(PRWEB) January 27, 2006 -- As energy costs continue to rise, consumers are looking for ways to reduce their energy consumption. In direct response to their customers’ concerns, Aspen Homes of Colorado, Inc. incorporates features that make homes more energy efficient, durable, healthier, and enviromenatly responsible. During a dinner ceremony in conjunction with the 2006 International Builders’ Show, 17 home builders were awarded the EnergyValue Housing Award (EVHA). Aspen Homes of Colorado, Inc. was the proud recipient of two of these prestigous awards.
Now in its eleventh year, the EVHA program honors builders who voluntarily integrate energy efficiency into the design, construction, and marketing of their new homes. It also educates the home building industry and the public about successful approaches to energy-efficient construction. EVHA award categories target home builders in the affordable, custom, factory-built, production, and multifamily categories for hot, moderate, and cold climate regions. The Energy Value Housing Award is highly esteemed among homebuilders who strive to deliver high quality, durable, and energy efficient homes.
Aspen Homes displays these award-winning qualities through their commitment to build 100% of their homes ENERGY STAR®, E-Star, and Built Green certified. In addition to their devotion to energy efficiency, Aspen Homes is dedicated to doing the right thing in the affordable market, where the cost of homeownership is greatly affected by the cost of energy. “Aspen Homes is extremely honored by the recognition of these awards,” stated company President Jammie Sabin, “We believe that building energy efficient homes is vital to our nation’s future if our children are to inherit the quality of life we enjoy, or better.”
A panel of energy efficiency experts from around the nation representing the engineering, construction, design, and marketing fields serve as judges and select finalists based on their homes’ energy value, design, construction methods and processes, marketing and customer relations efforts, and their ability to demonstrate an understanding of how all parts of the home come together.
According to the judges, “Aspen Homes of Colorado has it together. All facets of building, marketing, public relations, quality assurance, and others are managed skillfully. They are a leader of the industry.”
