Halls Window Center to Donate Windows for Sacramento Area Habitat for Humanity Project

Sacramento window replacement company Hall's Window Center will donate 10 Renewal by Andersen windows to Habitat for Humanity for completion of a growing family's dream come true.

Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) February 3, 2007 -- When the Thomas family learned that they were having a third child, the close quarters of their 2 bedroom duplex became an even greater issue. Not only were quarters cramped, but they remained so on a continuous basis. Because of neighborhood conditions, the couple didn't feel comfortable allowing the children to play outdoors alone and with a new baby on the way, dedicated parent time would soon be limited. The growing family desperately needed a change in living arrangements, and thanks to the Foothills Habitat for Humanity and Halls Window Center, this bunch will soon have a bright new place to call home.

Halls Window Center, the reputable Sacramento window replacement company and trusted supplier of high quality Renewal by Andersen windows, has announced that it will donate a complete set of windows for the family's new home. In total, Halls will donate 10 Renewal by Andersen windows and 1 sliding glass door.

"Halls has been a fixture in the Sacramento area for more than 15 years. The residents of Sacramento are our friends, family, customers, service providers, our children's role models--our community. It's our pleasure to give back to the community that has served us well for so many years," says Bob Grandinetti, president of Halls Window Center.

Habitat for Humanity is a non profit organization that helps deserving families take the step into home ownership by working with a variety of organizations and banks to offer low cost home loans. Families must show a high level of commitment, both in their ability to repay the low interest loan offered through Habitat for Humanity and in sweat equity, dedicating at least 500 hours toward building their own home.

One of the many ways that Habitat reduces the cost of homes for families is by utilizing community volunteers directed by professionals to build the home. An installation specialist from Halls Window Center will be on-site during the window installation portion of the project to lead volunteers in the proper installation of the donated windows.

Grandinetti says that empowerment through information and education is another one of Hall's Window Center's commitments to the local community. The Halls website (http://www.hallswindowcenter.com) offers a great deal of information and resources about choosing and caring for windows.

As part of Hall's commitment to an open line of information and communication with its customer base, Grandinetti also makes available all uncensored customer service survey results on the company's website as well as a map pinpointing exact locations where their team has installed windows in and around the Sacramento area.

The Thomas family is looking forward to baby number 3, who is expected to arrive in just a few days. The family and volunteers will continue to work one day per week on construction until completion of the home sometime this summer.

Those interested in volunteering with this project or other upcoming projects can visit the Foothills Habitat for Humanity website at http://www.foothillshabitat.org and complete the volunteer application form.
