Acumentrics, Maker of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) Power Systems and Rugged Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Launches New, Enhanced Website for Customer Satisfaction

Acumentrics redesigned their website to make it more user-friendly. Now data sheets, manuals, and technical reports are more easily accessible. A new Knowledge Center was added. Products include fuel cell powered generators and home energy appliances that run directly off natural gas.

Westwood, Mass. (PRWEB) May 3, 2007 - Acumentrics Corporation (www.acumentrics.com), a leading developer of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for the distributed generation market, announced today that they have launched a new website to better serve their customers.

"The new website is a substantial improvement and very user-friendly. We focused on making data sheets, manuals, and other information more accessible. We redefined our logo and product lines to better reflect our growing business," said Stacy Swider, Acumentrics Marketing Executive. "We also added a Knowledge Center for students, and a product configurator for our UPS customers."

Since the creation of the old website, the company's fuel cell business has grown to include home energy appliances that generate electricity and heat from municipal gas. With their "in-situ reformation" capability, Acumentrics tubular solid oxide fuel cells run directly from propane or natural gas, and recent tests have shown diesel capability. The fuel cells also operate on hydrogen, but compatibility with logistical fuels improves their value, as these fuels are more available than hydrogen.

Fuel cells generate electricity with twice the efficiency of traditional small-engine generators. Acumentrics' AHEAD home energy appliance touts 90% efficiency by capturing both electricity and heat.

Products include: a 5kW fuel cell generator, the AHEAD home energy appliance (micro-CHP), fuel cell test stands, and rugged uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) ranging from 700W to 2500W in output. Acumentrics UPS products accept simultaneous AC and DC input and automatically condition the power for use with computers and other sensitive electronics.

The new website is accessible from the original address at www.acumentrics.com.
