Home Remodeling Trends Show Game Rooms Are Rising in Popularity

Portland, Ore. (PRWEB) July 13, 2007 - ReliableRemodeler.com, a leading home remodeling resource for homeowners providing a trusted connection between homeowners and local contractors is announcing the findings of their recent homeowner survey. The results show that homeowners planning room additions have game rooms in mind.
A pool table, entertainment systems, a bar and video games are the most popular choices for creating a homeowner's ultimate game room. Of the homeowners surveyed sixty percent stated they would want to include a pool table as they begin their game room project. Video games were the most popular activity for homeowners who already had a game room, with forty seven percent claiming to have them. The full survey results can be found on ReliableRemodeler.com.
"Consumers are continuing the trend of making their home a haven," Eric Doebele, President of ReliableRemodeler.com, stated. "The home is becoming the preferred place for family activities and for entertaining friends. The rise in game room additions are also a reflection of the increase in popularity of games from poker to pool to ping pong. In addition to a wise investment it adds to the homeowners' lifestyle."
Game rooms are the newest trend creeping into homes across America. Over fourteen percent of survey participants said they already had a game room in their home.
