New Guest Tower, Destination Spa and Pool Recreation Complex Budgeted at 17 Million Euros Planned for Summer 2008 Opening by Becovic Holdings, Inc. for Hotel Mediteran Resort in Ulcinj, Montenegro
Chicago-based Becovic Holdings, Inc. disclosed plans today for a major new addition to the company's Hotel Mediteran Resort to be completed by Summer 2008. The expansion project will include a new 4-star guestroom tower, reception, recreation facilities and new amenities.
Ulcinj, Montenegro (PRWEB) July 3, 2007 -- Becovic Holdings, Inc. presented its plans today for a major addition to Hotel Mediteran Resort, to be completed in Summer 2008. The new 4-star guest tower and resort facilites will be developed at an estimated cost of 17 million euros. Demolition of existing structures to make way for the new construction has already been completed.
"We're bringing a category-killer resort to the Montenegro coast," said Isa Becovic, worldwide Managing Director for Becovic Holdings, Inc., "we'll have the first guest rooms and suites on the Montenegrin coast that truly match all 4-star categorization standards, and new recreation facilities that we believe will attract guests on a year-around basis." The new guest tower will include an estimated 175 guest rooms, in addition to the 100 guest rooms that were completely refurbished and placed in service in time for the summer 2007 season.
The Montenegro coastal resort region, centered in Ulcinj, is considered to be the world's #1 tour and travel growth market for the next decade, according to the World Travel Tourism Council.
"We are now designing the programs for the recreation facilities," said James T. Costa, General Manager for Hotel Mediteran Resort, "with the new destination spa, casino, indoor pool, fitness center, grill-style restaurant, and conferencing facilities, we'll be able to offer our guests a multi-faceted and full-service resort experience."
The destination spa at Hotel Mediteran Resort will feature authentic natural balms and ointments as well as restorative treatments based on the legendary sea pine forests along the coast adjacent to the resort. For generations, visitors have been attracted to the Ulcinj coast to sleep under the stars in order to receive the regenerative and curative powers of the pines.
The indoor pool at Hotel Mediteran Resort, to be built on a large-scale, will feature interior water features, landscaping, and water play features inspired by major resorts in Hawaii, Orlando, and the Carribbean. The new exterior pool will be located on Deck level at the resort, allowing guests to stroll on one level from the new casino, past the Deck bar and view terrace, past the sunbathing terrace and outdoor pool, and over to the outdoor seating at the grill restaurant on the same level. The entire guest stroll at Deck level will feature an uninterrupted view of the Adriatic Sea, the beach and strand promenade, and the 2,000-year-old Old Town section of Ulcinj.
Other resort facilities, a beach club, additional services, and new amenities, and a destination cliff-top restaurant at the resort's Kula Point, are also planned. Becovic Holdings officials have indicated that a re-naming and re-branding of the resort is likely, to best meet the market with the array of facilities that will be in place.
