OMAX® to Showcase Newest Innovations at EASTEC 2008
OMAX Corporation's 60120 JetMachining® Center will be on display at EASTEC 2008. The industry leader in high-pressure waterjet machining centers will be located in booth #1029 from May 20 - 22, 2008 at the Eastern States Exposition Grounds in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
Kent, WA (PRWEB) April 9, 2008 -- OMAX Corporation's 60120 JetMachining® Center will be on display at EASTEC 2008. The industry leader in high-pressure waterjet machining centers will be located in booth #1029 from May 20 - 22, 2008 at the Eastern States Exposition Grounds in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
The 60120 is a large format machine is ideal for quick and accurate cutting of larger or multiple parts from stock up to 5' x 10' (1.5m x 3m). OMAX equipped the machine with an innovative traction drive, making it one of the most accurate large format machines in the company's extensive line of JetMachining Centers. The traction drive achieves its high accuracy by closing a positioning loop with linear encoders in the same manner as a linear motor. The result is a robust and reliable system that is well suited to harsh environments and requires little maintenance. In addition, the traction drive of the 60120 enables faster traverse speeds, which can greatly reduce the throughput times when machining multiple and nested parts.
The OMAX 60120 employs a bridge style Y-Axis design that allows the cutting head to move past the catcher tank for unobstructed loading of materials. Like all OMAX JetMachining Centers, the 60120 has the ability to cut a wide variety of materials, including ceramics, composites, plastic, glass and stone, as well as metals like aluminum, tool steel, stainless steel, mild steel and titanium with an accuracy of motion up to .003".
The 60120 will be equipped with OMAX's Tilt-A-Jet® system, which can achieve virtually zero taper. When the system is in use, software automatically calculates and offsets the natural taper that results from the abrasivejet. The taper is moved from the part to the scrap, leaving parts with perfectly square edges.
Also featured with the 60120 will be the Dual Pump Package, a fully integrated system that utilizes two P4055V pumps to produce unprecedented cutting speed and power and a significant reduction in machining time compared to previous cutting models. Available in a flexible footprint, the package operates on the 3rd generation cutting model of OMAX Intelli-MAX® Software, which is designed to accommodate cutting at 80 hp. Additionally, the system allows highly efficient, redundant pump operation and permits users to switch between standard and high power operation to ensure the best operation for an application.
OMAX believes in manufacturing the best machines and accessories possible with the best software available, and works to continually develop cutting-edge technology and innovative software for its customers. As a result, each OMAX product comes with the OMAX Technology Guarantee, which provides software upgrades for all existing customers at no additional charge.
