Transtar Business Development to Oversee Franchising and Development for Berripop

Berripop has retained the development services of Transtar Business Development, a Houston-based, commercial construction firm that specializes in restaurant construction and development. Transtar Business Development will be responsible for franchisee consultations and the construction of all new Berripop locations.

(PRWEB) March 31, 2008 -- Berripop is Houston's 1st frozen yogurt boutique and has become a local sensation thanks to its recipe of popular music videos, vibrant and electric atmosphere and exotic and addictive, non-fat frozen yogurt. Opening its doors in November 2007, Berripop has been able to generate profits and positive word-of-mouth, and as a result, has received tremendous interest into its franchising opportunities.

In order to properly and efficiently expand its corporate and franchise operations throughout Texas, Berripop has retained the development services of Transtar Business Development, a Houston-based, commercial construction firm that specializes in restaurant construction and development. Transtar Business Development will be responsible for franchisee consultations and the construction of all new Berripop locations.

Transtar Business Development's portfolio includes work for both national and regional franchises such as Sprint/Nextel, Miyako Japanese Restaurant, Wings Pizza N' Things & Jugo Juice. In addition to Berripop, Transtar Business Development is an approved general contractor for Cinnabon, Thai Spice, Pho Saigon and Cheeburger-Cheeburger and will be constructing new locations for all four (4) concepts in 2008.

Transtar Business Development has thrived due to its competitive pricing, quality of work, knowledge of the restaurant industry and unparalleled customer service. "We have been successful because we offer our clients the most value," says Thomas P. Nguyen, who was a litigation attorney in Houston before becoming President of Transtar Business Development. "Although our main focus is construction, we can help our clients with almost every other aspect of their development such as technology, signage and equipment. For an owner trying to start a new business, we have proven to be a valuable resource."

Together with Transtar Business Development, Berripop will handle every aspect of the store development including, but not limited to, design, construction, equipment, food product and technology, as well as providing extensive training on operations, marketing and administration before and after the store's grand opening. In addition to providing franchisee support and sales strategies, Berripop will provide each franchisee with ongoing marketing strategies that include marketing materials and promotional items.

Berripop's next location will be at Houston's Premier lifestyle center, Uptown Park, and will be open late-summer 2008. Berripop also plans to have 3-4 corporate locations by the end of 2008, in addition to franchised locations. By targeting premium locations and providing a solid, comprehensive franchisee program, Berripop intends to lead Houston's young frozen yogurt market and establish its roots for long-term growth and success.

The franchise fee for Berripop is currently $25,000.00, and potential franchisees are currently being offered a fixed-rate royalty & marketing fee instead of the typical percentage of gross sales. This structure enables the franchisee to receive a greater share of the profits and grow at a faster rate.
