Can You Explain Your Business?
Think it rare that business owners, government workers or agencies have difficulty explaining their business, work or purpose? Think again!
(PRWEB) April 29, 2005 -- Can you explain your business to others? If not, redefine your mission and vision statements says leadership trainer Stan Hakes.
Think it rare that business owners, government workers, or agencies have difficulty explaining their business, work, or purpose? Think again!
"Mission and vision statements are a critical part of leadership training" says Stan Hakes, President of Illuminative Concepts in southern California, "and a major component of a business management system. It is essential for a single proprietor, small business or government agency - all need to understand, define or perhaps update their mission and vision statements."
"One client I worked with said she felt scattered explaining her business to people" Hakes said. "After writing her mission and vision statements she began to focus; she dropped six or seven previously used statements on her business and narrowed them to three or four key areas that fit together."
The significance plays out in Fortune 500 companies as well. A Wall Street Journal article reported ona study conducted by Stanford University which showed 18 visionary companies who used mission and vision statements as the basis for their goals and objectives outperformed a control group of companies by a factor of six to one, based on earnings.
A survey referenced in Jay Levinson's "Guerrilla Marketing" shows the number one reason for any venture's failure is not competition, the trade, recession, a failure of creativity or a shortage of ideas. It's the leader, the honcho, the chief, the top banana. A whopping 63% report that top management at their companies do not have a clear strategic vision.
"Mission and vision statements help you and others to clearly see where you want to take your business or product and lay the foundation for strategic actions that can turn your business or product ideas and dreams into reality" says Don Midgett, author of "Mission and Vision Statements: Your Path To A Successful Business Future."

Staffcentrix Announces Gift to Military Spouses in Recognition of National Military Spouse Day
Staffcentrix, a leading training and development company whose Virtual Assistant training for military spouses is available at many bases internationally, has announced free subscriptions for military spouses to its popular telework and freelance jobs bulletin in recognition of National Military Spouse Day, May 6. Subscriptions normally priced at $21 will be offered at no charge during the month of May to all US active-duty spouses, including active Reserve, regardless of service or location.
Woodstock, CT (PRWEB) April 29, 2005 –– Staffcentrix, a leading provider of virtual career training for the Armed Forces, has announced a gift of free subscriptions to its popular weekly telework and freelance jobs bulletin to all active-duty military spouses during the month of May. The offer, made in recognition of National Military Spouse Day (May 6), will entitle spouses to receive a three-month subscription normally priced at $21 at no charge.
The bulletin, which has earned high praise from the media and the professional job search industry alike, is sold under the title “The Rat Race Rebellion,” and is published weekly via email. It includes an average of 20 screened and legitimate work-from-home positions per issue, or approximately 240 leads in a three-month period. Spouses may claim their free subscriptions by going to http://www.2secondcommute.com and clicking on the “Military Spouse Day” icon.
“Military spouses make silent sacrifices for the good of our country all year long,” said Christine Durst, CEO of Staffcentrix, “and for one day of that year we are reminded to think of them. We shouldn’t need to be reminded, especially in wartime. Merchants and businesspeople should take the lead in showing appreciation in tangible ways for what the spouses do.”
Staffcentrix COO Michael Haaren, himself an Army veteran whose great-grandfather was 15th Commandant of the Marine Corps, takes a personal interest in home-based career options for the bulletin’s military readers. “Chris and I believe strongly in the homeshoring movement generally and in portable, home-based career options for military spouses in particular,” Haaren says. “It’s why we emphasize these themes so often in our media interviews and publications, most recently in our how-to book for Virtual Assistants, 'The 2-Second Commute.' For all Americans, to dishonor the military family is to dishonor ourselves.”
About Staffcentrix
Staffcentrix is a leading advocate of home-based, virtual careers as a platform for stronger family life, and a leading provider of virtual work solutions and publications. Its Portable Career & Virtual Assistant Training Program for Military Spouses™, the first virtual careers training program for military spouses, is now available at over 40 US military bases internationally.

Jet Central will also be placing city municipal related aircraft orders with Avcen in due course. Jet Central will not place military or personal jet aircraft orders. All Jetpod and Jet Central sales will be centralized from Europe.
CNN has since the 19th April 2005 been covering the Jetpod extensively on their website and on TV. TV coverage of the Jetpod has been seen on several occasions just before prime-time TV news. The Jetpod has also appeared as a feature on the CNN Spark Technology Show on 24th April and is forecast to appear;

Technology backers can be seen on our site.
Since 15th April 2005, Avcen has offered 20% of the Company in the form of 200 shares to help fund the proof-of-concept flight trials next year. Thus far, we have been inundated by investors looking to purchase individual shares. In the meantime we are encouraging one or two large-stake investors to come forward and take either 50, 100, or all 200 shares and benefit from this once-only opportunity.
Additional modifications and additions are as follows:
- The aircraft will be fitted with self-sealing fuel tanks;
- The primary flight instrument displays will be clustered into shaped housings to represent the different instrument groupings. Each cluster will be moveable and positionable by the single-seat pilot;
- Blown-air windscreen and heated filament heating will be installed instead of whole-leaf screen heating
- Foldaway ultralight seating will be design assisted in-house but produced separately by a supplier.
City University is continuing with a paid-up six months of research into additional and routine Computational Fluid Dynamics assessment of the Jetpod`s improved wing shape.
We are now getting ready to bring people, materials, systems and tooling together to create the first proof-of-concept Jetpod. The first flight is scheduled for next year.
The Jetpod will revolutionize the way we travel.

The Department of Defense released a broad and far reaching policy on the use of active and passive RFID in July of 2004. The policy impacts DOD suppliers and internal operations. The presentation will discuss the policy, benefits across the DOD Supply Chain and highlight implementation projects underway. The timing of the event places allows suppliers to both listen and question the policy with the comment period, following the recent proposed Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement amendment outlining suppliers’ RFID requirements (DFARS Case 2004-D011).
Mr. Coyle leads the DOD Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) Office with a mission to incorporate automatic information data collection into business processes across DOD’s supply chain. He develops policy and coordinates the military services and agencies efforts to use AIT to help transform logistics operations and improve readiness across DOD. A key player in the DoD’s RFID initiatives, he has over 30 years experience in transportation and logistics.
“As organizations like the Department of Defense and Wal-Mart begin to require their suppliers to implement RFID, ’business as usual’ no longer exists,” says JP Fozo, Group Vice President of Honeycomb Worldwide Inc., Xtalks’ parent company. “We’re helping bring industry leaders together in real time to share ideas, best practices and case studies. You no longer have to book flights and hotel reservations to hear industry experts speak about issues that matter to you. Launch of iSETI LLC
iSETI LLC was launched to provide the corporate vehicle to develop radical space exploration technologies.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) April 28, 2005 -- Interstellar Space Exploration Technology Initiative, iSETI LLC was launched to provide the corporate basis for radical space propulsion technology development.
iSETI’s mission is to provide the technology that will take humankind to Alpha Centuari and beyond, on a regular basis, within our life times. It is precisely because modern physics says that this is impossible, that iSETI LLC has been launched. The Universe is ours for the taking, if we have the courage, imagination, and the perseverance to do so.
Experiments, to date, demonstrate the feasibility of interfering with gravity, in a manner that causes one to re-think all three of Newton’s Laws of Motion. The experimental evidence demonstrate that a force can be created by an electrical circuit without moving parts, thereby violating, all three Laws of Motion.
The concepts present a more generic Law at work, one that allows for this apparent dichotomy. On the one hand, these concepts can be described as an approach to a Unified Theory of Translocation. On the other hand, the experiments demonstrate a strong interaction between electromagnetism and gravity that is currently not accepted by the physics community.
The company’s website, http://www.iseti.us/ makes available concepts, papers, presentations, and audio video documentation of the work done to date. The images presented are taken from a video of one of the experiments demonstrating weight gain from 160.0g to 160.3g in about 20 minutes. These concepts, and experiments, have been deliberately designed to break the known laws of physics. Not to prove that these laws are incorrect, but to prove that the current laws of physics are special cases of more general laws.
iSETI’s is very much in the early stages of development - basic research - and therefore, does not make claims to having solved any practical propulsion systems problems. The technology is in its infancy, and many hurdles have yet to be foreseen, and overcome. Serious inquiries are welcome.

Leading Food and Beverage Company Selects Electronic Sensor Technology's zNose Remote Handheld Vapor Sampler for Testing Cargo Containers
Electronic Sensor Technology, Inc. (OTCBB: ESNR) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with a leading food and beverage company to sell its zNose® Remote Handheld Vapor Sampler to monitor odors in cargo containers.
Newbury Park, NY (PRWEB) April 28, 2005 -- Electronic Sensor Technology, Inc. (OTCBB: ESNR) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with a leading food and beverage company to sell its zNose® Remote Handheld Vapor Sampler to monitor odors in cargo containers. The remote vapor sampling interface of the Company's portable handheld zNose® analyzer is designed to detect chemical odors which can damage sensitive cargo such as food products. The Sampler has greater sensitivity than the other zNose® models which we believe makes it ideal for protecting the nation's food supply.
"We are excited to record the first sale of this innovative product to a leading food company for protecting the food supply chain," said Edward J. Staples, Chief Executive Officer of Electronic Sensor Technology. "We believe there are many applications for the Sampler due to its compact size and greater sensitivity than other zNose® models. There is a growing opportunity to monitor cargo shipments based on the increased priority in securing the food supply. We believe that the selection of the Sampler by a leading food company provides the strongest validation yet that our technology is able to capture and test contaminants that may impact the way food and other products are delivered. In addition, we continue to pursue other applications for in the cargo container market, which is a critical market for homeland defense."
Expanding on the existing zNose® Model 4200 which can capture and analyze any odor, fragrance, or chemical vapor within ten seconds, the Company has developed the miniaturized Remote Handheld Vapor Sampler as an accessory product to the zNose®. The Handheld Remote Sampler weighs less than two pounds and uses two D-cell batteries to power a small air pump to sample ambient air at 1-3 liters per minute. Volatile organic compounds within ambient air are collected in small removable cartridges. By inserting the cartridges into the zNose® interface, samples captured at remote locations can be analyzed onsite.
Founded in 1995, Electronic Sensor Technology has developed and patented a chemical vapor analysis process. We believe that the Company's product line is positioned to eliminate key vulnerabilities in the homeland security market, specifically in maritime port, airport, and border security applications.

PatentCafe Adds Patent Portfolio Management Tool to its Intellectual Property Management Solution; IBM isn’t the Only Company that Can Profit from Patent Licensing
SME to Fortune 100 companies without IBM’s licensing infrastructure can create their own patent licensing opportunities using PatentCafe's ICO Portfolio Manager solution.
Yuba City, CA (PRWEB) April 27, 2005 -- PatentCafe has introduced ICO™ Portfolio Manager, the high value add-on module for the company’s ICO™ Suite of patent research and intellectual property management solutions for enterprise (http://www.IAMcafe.com).
IBM’s licensing efforts generate nearly $2 B annually. With ICO™ Portfolio Manager SME to Fortune 100 companies without IBM’s licensing infrastructure can create their own patent licensing opportunities.
“Nokia licenses from Acacia Technologies”; “Samsung licenses from Universal Display”; “Borland licenses from Certicom”; “Lexar Media Inc., I-O Data Device and GoVideo license from Microsoft”. Such headlines clearly echo the dramatic rise in patent licensing, a necessity in today’s competitive technology environment.
Patent licensing leverages past R&D investment to boost bottom line profits and grow shareholder value. Licensing is also used as a defensive measure to mitigate the risks and expense of patent infringement litigation.
ICO™ Portfolio Manager is the first patent portfolio management solution that applies advanced linguistic data mining capability of the ICO semantic patent search engine to a company’s entire patent portfolio. The module helps patent attorneys, corporate counsel and IP managers fully exploit their company's patent assets by helping identify new licensees, mitigate litigation risk, and reduce duplicate R&D costs.
“For those who identify prospective licensees first, there are fortunes to be made. It sounds trite, but Fortune 500 portfolio managers agree.” PatentCafe’s CEO, Andy Gibbs says “A couple of Fortune 100 portfolios ‘go live’ in next week”.
After a one-time setup process, a company’s portfolio is internally searchable enterprise-wide against more than 21 million patent documents in PatentCafe’s international patent data center. Thereafter, an authorized company representative can add or remove patents from their portfolio through an easy browser interface.
Using LSA’s natural language search capabilities, licensees can simply copy and paste the full text of a competitor’s product description into the search box, and identify the most closely related patents the competitor may be infringing. “No other patent management solution in the world delivers that capability” says Gibbs.
“Stick licensing”, or asserting a patent against a competitor in order to open the door to licensing negotiations, forces a prospective licensee to weigh the costs of licensing against the more expensive alternative, infringement litigation.
“Carrot licensing” requires the licensor to identify potential “friendly” licensees, and making an offer to license one or more patents that will bring future value to the licensee – the “carrot”.
ICO™ Portfolio Manager makes short work of winnowing huge portfolios down to the bundle of patents that a licensee would consider valuable to their business.
Literally, in minutes rather than weeks or months, the module’s LSA technology can group related patents from portfolios as large as IBM’s (nearly 40,000 patents), increasing the license value by identifying long-forgotten or obscure patents sitting at the bottom of the portfolio. PatentCafe launched the free Open Source Software Patent Search Engine with IBM’s 500 free OSS patents in early 2005.
Adding standard alerting functions to ICO Portfolio Manager allows companies to increase cross-licensing of their existing patents across their divisions and subsidiaries, something that makes CFOs happy.
The alert feature can boost corporate revenue, while significantly reducing duplicate R&D activities in facilities unaware that the parent corporation already has patented technology they can exploit. Internal cross-licensing can also lead to faster time to market, while reducing the chance of infringement.

The Heroic Stories of American Military Heroes Will be Featured at World War II 60th Anniversary Ceremonies in Florence, Italy on May 5th
The battle to liberate Italy in World War II cost the lives of more than 19,000 American Service Men and Women. The stories of several of these heroes will be told on Thursday, May 5, at 11 a.m. local time at the Florence American Cemetery in Florence Italy during ceremonies honoring the 60th anniversary of the end of the conflict. The tribute has been organized by American Legion Post 50 of Pelham, New York.
Pelham, NY (PRWEB) April 27, 2005 -- The battle to liberate Italy in World War II cost the lives of more than 19,000 American Service Men and Women. The stories of some of these heroes will be told on Thursday, May 5, at 11 a.m. local time at the Florence American Cemetery during ceremonies honoring the 60th anniversary of the end of the conflict. The tribute has been initiated by American Legion Post 50 of Pelham and will be led by the New York State Commander, Paul Cortright. The Assistant Secretary of the United States Navy, Richard Greco, Jr., a native of Pelham, will be the keynote speaker at the Florence ceremonies.
The biographical readings of selected veterans will be conducted to remember the heroism and sacrifice of all 19,475 Americans who were lost during WWII in Italy. The Battle for Italy began on September 3, 1943 with an amphibious landing by Allied forces on the southernmost tip of the country and continued until May 2, 1945, the final week of the war. At 602 days, the Italian campaign was the longest of any conducted by the U.S. military during WWII. Beyond those who made the ultimate sacrifice in Italy, thousands more were injured, including future U.S. Senators Robert Dole and Daniel Inouye. The Italian campaign was crucial to the defeat of Nazi Germany, providing an assault that liberated the Nazis’ closest ally and diverted important military resources away from their defense of France. In 1994, memorial ceremonies were held at the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuno, Italy during the 50th Anniversary of the liberation of Rome. On that occasion, the ceremony was led by then-President Clinton and four U.S. Senators who had served in Italy during WWII.
This year, the ceremonies will begin on May 2, the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII in Italy, when Post 50 members will participate in a major WWII 60th Anniversary ceremony at Nettuno. Members of Post 50 and its traveling party will also conduct wreath-laying ceremonies on May 2 at the British Beach Head Cemetery in Anzio and on May 3 at the Polish Cemetery in Montecassino. Additional information and references can be found on the Internet at www.WWII60thItaly.com.
TV Alert: Armed Forces Television is expected to make video highlights of the May 5 Florence ceremonies available to domestic broadcast outlets. For information, contact Mr. Melvin Russell, the Pentagon Channel, at 703-428-0200.
Some of the stories to be presented at the Florence ceremonies on May 5 include:
Fireman First Class Herbert S. Retallack, U.S. Navy (North Pelham, N.Y.) – On the night of Sept. 10, 1943, while escorting a supply convoy from Italy to Oran in North Africa, the destroyer USS Rowan (DD405) was torpedoed by a German E-boat. The Rowan sank in less than a minute, taking 202 of her 273 officers and men with her. Retallack, who left high school in the eleventh grade to join the Navy, is memorialized on the Wall of the Missing at the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Italy.
Capt. Alfonza W. Davis, U.S. Army Air Corps. (Omaha, Nebraska) – A member of the famed “Tuskeegee Airmen”, America’s first black military aviators, Davis served with the 302nd Fighter Squadron in Italy. As Squadron Commander of the 99th Pursuit Squadron protecting the bombers attacking Europe, Davis led a group of P-51 "Mustang" fighters that destroyed 83 German aircraft during a single mission. On October 29, 1944 while on a special reconnaissance mission to Munich, Germany, he flew into overcast weather and was never heard from again. Davis is memorialized on the Tablets of the Missing at the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery
Second Lt. Ellen G. Ainsworth, U.S. Army (Gleenwood City, WI) – Nurses played a vital role at Anzio where the Army hospital treated 33,000 casualties in 150 days of fighting. On the night of February 10th, 1944 the 56th Evacuation Hospital tent area near the Anzio beachhead came under fire from enemy shells. The area of the hospital where she was working was severely damaged in the explosive attack, but Ainsworth, age 25, maintained her composure and remained calm, directing the movement of patients to safer areas. Two nights later, she was hit several times by shrapnel from a bomb dropped by an enemy plane and died four days later, one of over 200 nurses who died serving in the armed forces of the United States during WWII. Ainsworth rests at the Sicily-Rome American cemetery at Nettuno.
Staff Sgt. George D. Keathley, U.S. Army (Olney, Texas) – On September 14, 1944, when fighting with the enemy killed all the officers of the 45th Infantry Division in his area, Keathley, graduate of Texas A& M, took command of two platoons attacking enemy positions on Mount Altuzzo, above Florence, Italy. German resistance attempted to hold off the American assault at all costs. Keathley moved under fire from man to man spreading ammunition and encouragement. When it looked like the Nazis would triumph, Keathley’s men responded with all they had. Despite being hit by fragments of a grenade, Keathley continued to fight and lead his men until friendly artillery fire forced the enemy to withdraw. Keathley died a few moments later. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions and is interred at the Florence American Cemetery in Italy.
Lt. Jules Sachs, U.S. Army Air Forces (New Jersey) – Bombing flights were among the most dangerous assignments in WWII. Trained as pilot and deployed to Italy in 1944, Sachs was required to fly several missions as a co-pilot with an experienced crew before he could lead his own crew into battle. On November 11, 1944 Sachs was a co-pilot in a B-24 bomber that reportedly crashed into another B-24 during bad weather. Both aircraft were lost over the Adriatic Sea. Sachs is memorialized in the Tablets of the Missing at the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuno.
First Lt. John R. Fox, U.S. Army (Cincinnati, Ohio) – On Christmas night 1944, Fox, a member of the 92nd Infantry Division, was a forward observer in the town of Sommocolonia, Italy. When German soldiers took over much of the town, Fox and members of his observation party voluntarily remained on the second floor of a house to direct defensive artillery fire. As the enemy forces closed in on his position, Fox called for artillery fire to target close to his position. When warned that aiming any closer would bring the deadly artillery right on top of his position. Fox ordered, “Fire it! There’s more of them than there are of us.” When the town was retaken, Fox’s body was found with those of 100 German soldiers. On January 13, 1997, Fox was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, 53 years after his sacrifice.
First Lt. Ellsworth Totten, III, U.S. Army Air Forces (Pelham, N.Y.) – Totten, a 1938 graduate of Pelham Memorial High School who held the school record in the half-mile run, was a member of the 84th Bomber Squadron and flew a light bomber, the Douglas A-20 Havoc, based in Italy for 59 missions. On December 23rd 1944, Totten and his crew of three went off to search for the crew of a B-25 that reportedly had crashed into the sea. Shortly after take off, Totten’s own plane crashed into the surf several miles offshore and he and his crew were never found. Totten was decorated with the Air Medal with two oak leaf clusters and is memorialized in the Tablets of the Missing at the Florence American Cemetery in Florence, Italy.
The American Legion, with 2.7 million members, is the world's largest veteran's association. The Department of New York is one of The American Legion’s largest state organizations with 1,003 local “Posts” and membership of more than 170,000 Legionnaires. Post 50 in Pelham, N.Y., commanded in 2004-2005 by Michael Barrett, organizes Pelham's Memorial Day parade and a variety of other veteran's and community support projects.

CL5 - The New State-of-the-Art Precision Thickness Gauge From GE Inspection Technologies
The new CL5 ultrasonic precision thickness gauge from GE Inspection Technologies is the first instrument of its class and size to offer a snapshot A-scan display of data as well as a digital display. As a result, the new compact instrument can be used for precise thickness measurements of components, in metals and plastics, whose complex geometry would often make them difficult to inspect with conventional gauges.
Huerth, Germany (PRWEB) April 24, 2005 -- The new CL5 ultrasonic precision thickness gauge from GE Inspection Technologies is the first instrument of its class and size to offer a snapshot A-scan display of data as well as a digital display. As a result, the new compact instrument can be used for precise thickness measurements of components, in metals and plastics, whose complex geometry would often make them difficult to inspect with conventional gauges.
GE’s CL5 can also display thickness digitally, for example when testing components with relatively flat and parallel surfaces. However, monitoring of the ultrasound in real time as it passes through the material by using the optional live A-scan assists in properly aligning the transducer and verifies the accuracy of the test as components become more complex in shape.
Easy and flexible data management for the CL5 is provided through an optional programmable data recorder, using a standard 32MB SD card. Data can be read by a standard card reader and downloaded to a PC for further analysis, incorporation within Excel spreadsheets or archiving. USB connectivity is also provided so that data can be downloaded directly from the CL5 to a PC.
Both of the optional upgrades for the basic CL5, namely the live A-scan display and the programmable data recorder, can be retrofitted.
Special consideration has been given to the user-friendliness in the design of the new, battery-powered instrument. It features intuitive operation, where the user is guided by easy-to-understand on-screen prompts, without the need for dedicated keys. All relevant information, such as A-scans, material velocity and thickness, can be readily displayed.
The new CL5 will find application throughout industry, particularly in the automotive and aerospace sectors, as both a quality control and a production metrology tool. It can be used to spot check the thickness of incoming material such as steel coil. It can be used to monitor machining operations by carrying out intermediate and final thickness measurements. And it can be used to provide precision thickness measurements of plastic components. It is compatible with a wide range of contact and delay line probes and its Delay Auto Measurement Mode automatically changes from interface to first backwall to multi-echo measurement when using delay line probes to gauge very thin components.

Faster, More Reliable Automatic Wheel Hub Inspection From GE Inspection Technologies
The new WheelScan 5 Automatic Wheel Inspection System from GE Inspection Technologies now allows faster more reliable eddy current inspection of aircraft wheel hubs, while providing real time test display, thermal strip chart reporting or PC-based paperless data recording and archiving of results. Moreover, the new system is extremely operator-friendly and features a simple User Interface with an intuitive layout.
Huerth, Germany (PRWEB) April 24, 2005 -- The new WheelScan 5 Automatic Wheel Inspection System from GE Inspection Technologies now allows faster more reliable eddy current inspection of aircraft wheel hubs, while providing real time test display, thermal strip chart reporting or PC-based paperless data recording and archiving of results. Moreover, the new system is extremely operator-friendly and features a simple User Interface with an intuitive layout.
Set-up times have been significantly reduced with the new WheelScan 5, as data relating to particular wheels is stored digitally for easy future recall. This removes the need for manual entering of old data, the most common cause of error with comparable systems, and also eliminates the requirement for maintaining cumbersome card index systems. Identification can be by number or by bar coding, so that a complete test can be recalled with a single bar code scan.
Inspection cycle times have also been reduced by increasing the probe stepper motor speed, allowing the probe to be located in position at up to 150mm/sec (5.9 inches/sec), compared with the 8mm/sec (0.3 inches/sec) of comparable systems.
Reliability and repeatability of results is a particular feature of the new WheelScan 5. It is of modular construction for ease of maintenance and uses standard motion control system components for longevity. Encoders on all axes allow repeat positioning of scan parameters, while the AutoTrak Plus two-dimensional, bi-directional contour following system ensures that the probe travel path covers the surface to be inspected.
Safety, of both operator and machine, has been a prime design requirement in the development of the new inspection system. The patented SLIC (Secure Lift, Inertial Centring) device lifts and centres the wheel to ensure that there are no out-of-balance forces resulting from eccentric clamping and, as the SLIC lifting ram is introduced into the wheel bore from below, there is no need for any overhead lifting gear or apparatus. Furthermore, all control interfaces are located on the front of the unit, so that there is no requirement for operators to lean over the inspection area and, as all instrumentation is below the height of the roller table, it is not vulnerable to damage by wheel hubs during inspection.
The new system allows the operator full diagnostics capability for ease of maintenance. This includes motion control and test from the User Interface, as well as complete evaluation by PC from a remote location. The modular design and the fact that all components have their own plugs and sockets allows for rapid fault identification.
The prime area of application of WheelScan 5 is the aviation sector, where it will be used in aircraft maintenance programmes by airlines and aircraft maintenance organisations, although its versatility will also permit its use in sectors such as motor sport. It has a scan height up to 415mm (16.3 inches) and can handle wheels up to 865mm (34.0 inches) in diameter and up to 250kg (551lbs) in weight. Wheels can be inspected flange up, flange down or fully assembled flange-to-flange. It has the flexibility to be able to inspect non-standard wheels, including those with small diameters. Bolt holes can be inspected using special probes and a special arm on the SLIC will allow internal bore inspection. Weighing 250 (551lbs) kg and requiring a footprint of just 914 x 870 x 800 mm (36.0 x 54.3 x 31.5 inches), the WheelScan 5 will be rightly considered an essential item of equipment in the aircraft maintenance sector.

zNose-TM- Receives CE and CSA Approval for Homeland Security Applications in Europe and Canada
Electronic Sensor Technology (OTCBB: ESNR) today announced that its anti-terrorist technology, the zNose(TM), has received CE and CSA approval for sale in Europe and Canada.
Newbury, CA (PRWEB) April 24, 2005 -- Electronic Sensor Technology (OTCBB: ESNR) today announced that its anti-terrorist technology, the zNose(TM), has received CE and CSA approval for sale in Europe and Canada. The zNose(TM) is sensitive enough to sniff out and recognize suspicious odors such as explosives, drugs, chemical weapons in cargo containers, buildings, and public transportation facilities such as airports, train stations, and subways. The zNose(TM) has passed an important milestone by completing product testing according to CSA 1010, EN 61010-1 and IEC 61326 protocols. The zNose(TM) will enhance security and public safety because it is able to quantitatively separate and measure the chemistry of any fragrance, odor, vapor, or smell with part per-trillion sensitivity in 10 seconds. Unlike trace detection technology, the Company's electronic nose can be trained to easily recognize an unlimited number of both single-chemical and multi-chemical compound odors or threat signatures.
According to Dr. Edward Staples, the President of Electronic Sensor Technology, "the zNose(TM) is an ultra-fast and sensitive chemical spectrum analyzer with the ability to detect extremely minute traces of odors and vapors." The availability of an electronic nose with the ability to quantify and recognize the chemical signature of security threats at the part-per-trillion level is a significant breakthrough. We expect the technology could enhance the ability of customer and shipping agents to meet their security requirements under CTPAT and CSI programs. The zNose(TM) will complement and enhance the performance of existing security screening measures, including canines, by providing an analysis of ambient odors which has not previously been available."
Founded in 1995, Electronic Sensor Technology has developed and patented a breakthrough chemical vapor analysis process. The Company's product line is positioned to eliminate key vulnerabilities in the homeland security market, specifically in commercial building HVAC security, maritime port security, airport security, and border security. Many of the Homeland Security initiatives have greatly increased the need to develop fast and accurate methods of detecting and identifying a broad range of terrorist threats. These markets are predicted to grow at rapid rates as a result of increasing government and private sector concern with present security levels.

Employers Baffled by How to Legally Handle Military Leave Requests: BLR's Free Audio Conference Explains the ins and outs
When employees have to take military leave their employers face serious responsibilities under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). Business & Legal Reports Inc. is offering a free audio conference recording featuring two expert attorneys who explain the ins and outs of this important and confusing law.
Old Saybrook, CT (PRWEB) April 21, 2005 -- It’s hard on the employee, who has to leave family and job for a military leave. But when a worker gives notice that he must go on active duty, the employer suffers too.
Fortunately employers can avoid the pitfalls of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) by listening to a recent audio conference sponsored by Business & Legal Reports (BLR). It’s free with registration, and helps employers understand their responsibilities to employees under the federal law for military leave in plain English.
Employers must be up-to-date with USERRA requirements because employees who feel that their USERRA rights have been violated can go directly to court - without first filing an administrative action. If an employer makes a mistake, for example missing the latest notification requirements, it may have to pay huge sums, including back pay, attorney’s fees, and even double damages!
This streaming audio conference features two lawyers who are experts in advising employers on USERRA compliance – Steve Bernstein and Clancy Vettel Mendoza, a partner and associate, respectively, in the Atlanta office of Fisher & Phillips. They provide practical tips on how to avoid the pitfalls under this oft-misunderstood law. For instance, the requirements for healthcare insurance coverage depend on how long the employee is away: Those absent for 30 or fewer days are entitled to employer-sponsored coverage under same terms as when they were working. Those on leave for more than 30 days are generally entitled to COBRA-type continuation benefits.
Employers will benefit from practical guidance like this in this 90-minute conference, which includes a 60-minute presentation and a 30-minute question-and-answer session. Access it here: http://www.blr.com/82008400/PRS12
This audio conference was originally recorded on March 17, 2005.

Ridgefield, CT (PRWEB) April 21, 2005 -- S. G. Hart & Associates, LLC, The Brand Equity Protection CompanyTM, has authored the cover article in the April issue of Directors Monthly, A National Association of Corporate Directors Publication. Stanley G. Hart, President & CEO of S. G. Hart & Associates authored the work, which outlines the need for Board of Director participation in protecting a company’s intellectual property rights (IPR), trademarks and copyrights from the threat of counterfeiting, product diversion, tampering & theft.
By being included in Directors Monthly and, moreover, being selected as the cover article, Stanley G. Hart remarked, “I am delighted that the editorial staff of the National Association of Corporate Directors saw the need to make this a cover article and, in effect, highlight a subtle component required of The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 which is the need to protect brands and other forms of intellectual property from fraud. Fraud includes the negative effects of counterfeiting, product diversion, tampering & theft. Hart continued, “Good corporate governance requires protecting assets against all forms of risk, including counterfeiting and diversion. To do so, boards must identify all risks and ensure that policy, procedures, and a plan of action are in place to confront such risks.”
In his article, Hart outlines the threat, explains government involvement, reviews the harmful results of counterfeiting and diversion, and presents the steps to deal with the problem. Hart concludes “Protecting the brand is not just another cost of doing business. Protecting brands, IPR, trademarks, and copyrights is smart business that can enhance or recapture top-line revenue. Understanding the threat of counterfeiting and framing this threat the same way one might frame any other competitive situation is a strategic exercise worthy of all board members.”
The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) is U.S. legislation that was signed into law by President George W. Bush on July 31, 2002. The purpose of SOX is to re-instill confidence and trust in the corporate accounting reporting practices used to evaluate publicly traded companies of the United States. U.S. public companies with equity market capitalization over $75 million are required to comply with the new SOX amendments beginning with their first fiscal year ending on or after November 15, 2004. Non-accelerated filers must begin to comply with these requirements for their first fiscal year ending on or after July 15, 2006.
S. G. Hart & Associates has planned a series of educational, on-line “Web Casts” focusing on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and the brand protection disclosure and internal control requirements that apply. How Are You Going to Celebrate National Military Appreciation Month in Your Community During the Month of May?
Where would America be without the dedicated men and women in uniform serving a grateful nation. We could not imagine having the freedoms we enjoy in this country be taken away. This is why it’s imperative to honor the military in May 2005.
(PRWEB) April 20, 2005 -- In keeping with a 1999 resolution passed by the Senate, May is designated National Military Appreciation Month. I am encouraging everyone to begin planning for the celebration by participating in civic events in your community to include visiting museums, libraries or listen in on talks presented by active duty and veterans at a school in your neighborhood.
Ensure you learn at least new ten things about the military to honor those Americans who have given their lives in defense of our nation’s freedom and the men and women now serving in uniform.
I applaud the declaration because it summons all U.S. citizens to observe the month in a symbol of unity. It gets better; we are to honor current and former members of the armed forces, including those who have died in the pursuit of freedom and peace.
Every single day of the year our military troops work to ensure we maintain the freedoms we earned over the course of history. The new “Greatest Generation” is on the frontlines of the war on terrorism making history in foreign lands by opening the door for freedom, liberty, and a better way of life in Afghanistan and Iraq. It’s high time we show our appreciation for the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
Having served in the military for over twenty-years, I for one encourage all Americans to stand up and be accounted for during National Military Appreciation Month. If only you knew what our men and women in uniform experienced on a daily basis it would make you stand up and cheer for all they do in support of freedom in America and around the world.
National Military Appreciation Month is the period allotted to cover the history and recognition of our armed services with emphasis on the diversity (difference) of its personnel and achievements. If you love America like I do, you will become educated about the historical role our military has played over the years and the role our communities play in the process.
Each and every one of us should actively participant in as many National Military Appreciation Month activities as possible this year. Celebrations during May include the National Day of Prayer, Military Spouse Day, Memorial Day, Loyalty Day and Armed Forces Day.
If you would like to learn even more about the call of duty and the lifelong rewards of the military experience visit www.livingonhigherground.com. This book gives you an opportunity to learn about one man’s military experience by reading the book Living on Higher Ground, How to live with passion, motivation, and joy.
Living on Higher Ground, How to live with passion, motivation, and joy. Hawk Protection Systems, Inc. Files Patent for the AJETD (Air Jet Explosives Trace Detector) System with the SPTO
Hawk Protection Systems, Inc. (HWPR), a provider of explosives detection technologies, mobile surveillance systems, and security services is pleased to announce it has filed and received patent pending status for the AJETD system by the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. The patent application was submitted on February 16, 2005 and is now classified as a pending patent.
Madrid, Spain (PRWEB) April 20, 2005 -- Hawk Protection Systems, Inc.
The AJETD (which is designed to detect explosives, chemicals, or other illicit materials in congested entrances) utilizes gas chromatography, ion mobility spectrometry, and vapor detection principles to achieve its trace detection results. The AJETD system utilizes air jets, which blow trace molecules off of a subject's skin, clothes, luggage, or any other surface, into a detector which analyzes the vapors and then alerts the operator to dangerous readings. While other explosive detection systems work by analyzing single subjects and items of luggage that move through trace detection portals, the AJETD system is capable of mass simultaneous detection.
“Currently, Explosives Detection Systems provide a second line of defense in airports and public buildings. A terrorist could easily sneak into these areas and plant an explosive before entering the security area. Current Systems are also very slow and have to scan each person one by one.” said John Altes, Founder and CEO of Hawk
Protection Systems, Inc.
The AJETD system is completely integrated into the environment, making it unnoticeable to civilians and potential terrorists. Any person or material that comes through the system is analyzed automatically without any warning thus achieving a level of convenience and confidentiality. This makes the AJETD technology dedicated to providing the first line of detection in congested entrances such as Airports, Train/ Subway Stations, Commercial Buildings, Sport Stadiums, Schools, etc. where groups of people gather and enter in mass quantities.
"Submitting the Patent application for the AJETD is an important step in protecting our exclusivity for what we believe is the future of explosives detection technology. Now that we are closer to obtaining that exclusivity in Spain we can immediately continue to pursue patent protection in the rest of the world.” said John Altes, Founder and CEO of Hawk Protection Systems, Inc.

Article Excerpt: “Terrorist Conspiracy Revealed”
By Ann-Marie Fleming, HomelandDefenseStocks.com
April 2005
The recent indictment of the three men alleged to have been involved in a terrorist plot to attack several financial institutions in New York, Washington and New Jersey, serves as a strong reminder of the potential threats that face this nation. The targeted buildings have been identified by officials as the New York Stock Exchange and Citigroup Center, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and Prudential headquarters, all of which were believed to have been under surveillance by the alleged terrorists between August 2000 and April 2001.
The prioritization by Homeland Security and the Department of Defense for equipping the nation with technology that can identify such threats before they materialize is exemplified by the Bush Administration’s FY 2006 budget request which indicates explosives detection and bioterrorism defenses as key areas for increased funding and development.
Companies such as Electronic Sensor Technology (OTCBB: ESNR) are filling a critical need as providers of Homeland Security solutions that help to identify and prevent future attacks involving explosives, as well as odorous biological or chemical threats.

TAG Inks Record $2.8M UAV Helicopter Sale to Rotor F/X at NAB 2005
On opening day of the NAB 2005 show, Tactical Aerospace Group (TAG) announced the largest non-military sale of UAVs in a deal with Rotor F/X of Los Angeles. The record breaking sale includes a minimum of 14 UAV helicopters along with spares, maintenance and flight training which are to be supplied to Rotor F/X over the two year contract. Rotor F/X also placed an option for up to 12 additional UAVs should their requirements increase. The initial package will include four gas, four turbine and six twin turbine helicopters in various configurations with two to five bladed rotors.
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) April 18, 2005 -- On opening day of the NAB 2005 show, Tactical Aerospace Group (TAG) announced the largest non-military sale of UAVs in a deal with Rotor F/X of Los Angeles.
The record breaking sale includes a minimum of 14 UAV helicopters along with spares, maintenance and flight training which are to be supplied to Rotor F/X over the two year contract. Rotor F/X also placed an option for up to 12 additional UAVs should their requirements increase. The initial package will include four piston, four turbine and six twin turbine helicopters in various configurations with two to five bladed rotors.
Rotor F/X supplies scale helicopters for on camera work in television and major motion picture production. The purpose built UAVs utilize a special airframe TAG designed for media production to accommodate the installation of a wide variety of different fuselages. The television or movie production company can utilize a single airframe on location but still have the flexibility to duplicate several different rotary aircraft needed for their scenes, quickly changing from one helicopter style to another.
Operations Director of Rotor F/X, Steve Dupont, said “the TAG UAV was the only viable solution available – we needed a strong and reliable aircraft with a substantial payload capability for the various props that need to be added”. He went on to say” it is very important to us to have a large UAV that flies and looks exactly like a full size helicopter. Our job is to supply scaled reality to the studios”.
Rotor F/X ( www.rotorfx.com ) supplies scale helicopters as small as 1:7 and as large as 1:3 for television and movie production, especially for flights in scaled sets and as a safer, more cost effective alternative to manned helicopters. Dupont explained “With the TAG UAV we can now replicate almost any helicopter made and fly every maneuver with equal or better precision – all at a much lower cost and with a very substantial drop in risk and insurance”.
The contract calls for TAG to supply Rotor F/X with the UAV airframes and build them an inventory of various scaled carbon fiber fuselages that will be made to the studio’s specifications.
TAG - Tactical Aerospace Group ( www.tacticalaerospacegroup.com ) manufacturers autonomous and remotely piloted unmanned aerial helicopters and develops or integrates flight control systems, instrumentation and various payload technologies for military, civil, media, surveillance, scientific and research applications.
Rotor F/X ( www.rotorfx.com ) provides scale UAV helicopters to the television and motion picture industry to portray rotary aircraft on camera and fly flight sequences that call for realistic scale flight.

Ridgefield, CT (PRWEB) April 18, 2005 -- S. G. Stanley G. Hart, President & CEO of S. G. Hart & Associates, explains the need for a comprehensive brand equity protection plan in order to meet the disclosure and internal control requirements of sections 302 and 404 under SOX, “brand protection is an important element of compliance with SOX that goes beyond technical solutions and security features, which are just one piece of the puzzle. Brand owners need to have an overall risk-management system in place.” Anthony M. Miano, Executive Partner, echoed Hart’s assessment and made the additional observation that “by forcing companies [to comply with SOX to look at internal / external business processes that relate to brand protection initially not on the SOX radar screen could lead to benefits that can provide a unique competitive advantage and simultaneously satisfy the new regulations.”

HDS Conference - Key Areas for Spending and Long Term Growth Are Revealed
Recent HomelandDefenseStocks.com Online Investor and Industry Conference Provides Investors and Industry with In-Depth Overview of Trends in Homeland Security Spending and Technology
POINT ROBERTS, WA (PRWEB) April 16, 2005 -- www.HomelandDefenseStocks.com (HDS), an investor news portal for the homeland defense and security sector, is pleased to provide investors and industry with an overview of the trends in Homeland Security spending and technology as compiled from the in-depth presentations in the second HDS online Homeland Security Investor Conference.
As we approach the second anniversary of the formation of the Department of Homeland Security, the agencies created since 9/11 are reaching an operational stage placing them in a position to better establish stability and promote innovation and opportunities within the private sector. With the February release of the Bush Administration’s FY 2006 budget request, the availability of private sector funds and areas of government and homeland security focus have been revealed, providing key insights into long term expenditures, further securing the development of the existing government agencies. While there is approximately $50 billion in the President’s budget allocated for Homeland Security at large, it is important to note that the estimated amount actionable for the private sector, according to Civitas Group, is $9.5 billion representing a 2.8% increase from the FY 2005 budget.
The FY 2006 budget request is focused on further development and increased support of several agencies and initiatives originally introduced within the FY 2005 budget, indicative of an industry in transition as it moves from a reactive to a long term growth strategy. As Brian Ruttenbur, Equity Research Analyst, Morgan Keegan & Co. Inc. described, “DHS funding in our opinion, will experience strong growth in the next 5 – 10 years and this is going to be an agency that is going to grow at a faster rate than any other federal government agency.” Taking a different position on the subject was Roger Cressey, President of Good Harbor Consulting, who cautioned, “The budgetary climate in Washington is changing and although the Department of Homeland Security had a ‘plus-up’ in several areas within the proposed FY 06 budget, these are numbers that are not going to continue in the growth pattern for the coming years. We need to keep in mind that absent a significant event of some sort, you will begin to see a bit of a decline in the overall budgetary numbers.”
As the budget cycle unfolds, key areas for spending and long term growth are revealed and include Border Security, Identification and Credentialing, Radiation Detection Equipment and Technology, Bioterrorism Defenses and Countermeasures, Explosives Detection and Baggage Screening Systems, Operation Center and Secure Networks, Anti-Missile Technology for Commercial Aviation and Remote Video Surveillance Equipment. On a broader scale, it is anticipated that there will be further consolidation in the M&A arena and continued growth of the IPO market is expected.

Markland Subsidiary EOIR Technologies Inc Awarded Omnibus Contract Extension
Total Remaining Potential Contract Value Exceeds $250M over a Three Year Period
Ridgefield, CT (PRWEB) April 16, 2005 -- Markland Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: MRKL), a defense and homeland security company transforming advanced laboratory technology into real-world products, announced today that the Contracting Officer for its U.S. Army Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) Omnibus contract has stated that EOIR Technologies Inc will be awarded an additional performance year on this contract thus extending the period for contract awards out to July 2007.
Normal practice would allow for tasks awarded by that date to be executed over the following year, allowing backlog to be accumulated on this contract until midyear 2008. EOIR Technologies Inc has won this contract on three consecutive solicitations over the last twelve years and expects that it will compete for, and as a result of continued excellent performance, believes it will have a very good opportunity to win the 5-year follow-on contract to be awarded sometime in 2008.
The contract has a potential value of approximately $406 million over the life of the contract. With approximately $150M funded to date there is a total remaining potential contract value which exceeds $250M over the three year period extending to mid year 2008.
Although there is no guarantee of capturing that complete level of funding the company has traditionally captured a very high percentage of available contract funding over the previous twelve year history of this contract.
The Army's NVESD research and development group is one of the U.S. military's most advanced technological leaders. Markland is working on a range of next-generation technology solutions for the NVESD, including night vision and advanced sensor applications, disposable sensors and other threat-detection systems.
Many of the products and services being delivered on this contract utilize next-generation electro-optic and infrared sensor technologies that are being used in direct support of U.S. military combat operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere. The Army's NVESD has been responsible for numerous key innovations in the fields of optical electronics and thermal imaging for weapons targeting, electronic surveillance and other mission-critical military applications.

Company's Fiscal Year Orders from US Army under Multi Year Omnibus Contract Now Totals $52.9 Million; Omnibus Contract Extended by Government
Ridgfield, CT (PRWEB) April 15, 2005 -- Markland Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: MRKL), a defense and homeland security company transforming advanced laboratory technology into real-world products, announced today that the U.S. Army's Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) has awarded the Company new orders for technology products and services totaling $2.4 million. Robert Tarini, Chairman and CEO of Markland, made the announcement.
The Army's NVESD research and development group is one of the U.S. military's most advanced technological leaders. Markland is working on a range of next-generation technology solutions for the NVESD, including night vision and advanced sensor applications, disposable sensors and other threat-detection systems.

The company also announced that the Contracting Officer for this US Army NVESD Omnibus contract has stated that EOIR Technologies Inc will be awarded an additional performance year on this contract thus extending the period for Omnibus contract awards out to July 2007. Normal practice would allow for tasks awarded by that date to be executed over the following year, allowing backlog to be accumulated on this contract until midyear 2008. Revolutionary New Armor Can Save Lives by Protecting Soldiers and Helping Thwart Attacks at Home
New composite armor can shield people and facilities against the deadliest of conventional attacks, including car bombs, rocket-propelled grenades, and the so-called “unstoppable” .50 cal. BMG. Unlike other barrier materials that degrade under attack, this product actually gains strength by absorbing projectiles into its mass.
Rome, GA (PRWEB) April 13, 2005 -- Ballistics Research, Inc., of Rome, Georgia has developed a material that can save the lives of American servicemen and women and greatly increase security against terrorism at home and abroad.
The material, dubbed Advanced Anti-Ballistic Compound, or AABC, is a new, patent-pending, composite polymer with a very high strength-to-weight ratio. It is capable of stopping and safely absorbing projectiles from small arms fire and every kind of conventional (non-nuclear) explosive device. In testing, AABC has proven its effectiveness even against the .50 cal. BMG, a heavy military machine gun round previously called “unstoppable.”
AABC weighs less than most other viable protective materials and is the only known material that actually gains strength under attack. While other materials degrade under attack, AABC absorbs projectiles into itself, building density and mass, and becoming increasingly resistant to assault.
Teamed with a second new development, AABC holds tremendous promise for saving the lives of American troops and vastly increasing the security of buildings and sensitive facilities, such as chemical or nuclear plants. Though it may be produced in any form or shape in which its properties are desired, AABC offers additional unique advantages when in the form of the Three-Dimensional Interlocking Protective System, or 3-D IPS, also a development of Ballistics Research.
Interlocking cubic modules made from AABC, the patent-pending “building blocks” of the 3-D IPS, are produced in virtually any size. For example, some applications may call for cubes that measure 10” X 10” X 10”, while other applications may be better served by a system that utilizes very large modules of one cubic yard.
Each module interlocks on six sides with any other cube of the same size, affording speed of assembly and endless flexibility in configuration. No tools or formal instructions are required for assembly, and every cube of the same size is identical to all its mates; There are no special corner modules or end caps.
Utilizing a true three-dimensional, six-sided interlocking system, the IPS cubes form extremely strong structures that may be built to any desired size and configuration, with walls of any thickness. The system's structural integrity is "ram proof," impervious even to ramming with cars or trucks. After use, the modules are easily disassembled for storage or transportation for reuse.
The 3-D IPS may be used to armor bunkers, buildings, pipelines, pump stations — any critical need equipment or installation that requires protection from ballistic or explosive attack. Military units with a need for permanent, semi-permanent or highly mobile physical security are likely to find the modules valuable and convenient. Existing buildings are easily and quickly secured with the 3-D IPS, and the system is adaptable for new construction as well.
Founded in 1999, Ballistics Research, Inc., is dedicated to the development of new technologies with value for security and defense of personnel, sensitive facilities and other vital assets, as well as for law enforcement and forensic science.

WWII LST 325 Setting Sail on a New Mission
LST 325 is now almost ready for its 2005 East Coast tour. It will be visiting Alexandria, VA and different ports in Massachusetts, including participating in a harbor turnaround with the USS Constitution.
(PRWEB) April 13, 2005 -- Many will recall the brave men who sailed aboard LST 325 from Crete in November 2000, arriving in Mobile, Alabama on January 10, 2001. There were twenty-eight crewmembers who were either veterans of World War II or the Korean War and one photographer that made the entire voyage.
In 2003, LST 325 visited cities along the Mississippi and Ohio River, going as far as Jeffersonville, Indiana. Unfortunately, in 2004, LST 325 was unable to make an East Coast tour because of unforeseen events that impacted its schedule to enter dry-dock for repairs.
But LST 325 is now almost ready for its 2005 East Coast tour. It will leave Mobile on May 17, 2005 and arrive in Alexandria, Virginia on May 26, 2005. Leaving Alexandria on May 30, 2005, it will sail to Massachusetts, staying in different ports until it heads home on June 22, 2005. On June 11, she will accompany the venerable USS Constitution (“Old Ironsides”) on a harbor turnaround at the Charlestown Navy Yard. On June 18, she will participate in a Tribute to World War II Veterans sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense (this is also the 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Okinawa).
LST 325 was built at the Philadelphia Navy Yard and participated in the invasions of Sicily, Salerno, and Normandy. It is the only operational museum ship of its type.
As a result of not being able to make the East Coast trip in 2004, The USS LST Ship Memorial, which owns LST 325, did not receive the revenues that were anticipated to cover the costs of restoration and preparation. However, expenses have continued to be incurred for repairs and equipment, along with fuel for its successful sea trial.
If you or a relative served aboard an LST or you believe in preserving this important part of our history, please make a tax-deductible donation to the USS LST Ship Memorial. No donation is too small. Donations can be sent to:

Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) April 11, 2005 -- RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) is European Union's (EU) directive (2002/95/EC), or “Green” specification. As of July 1, 2006, the RoHS directive will require the removal of six hazardous substances, including lead, from all electronic products shipped into the EU. A product is considered to be RoHS compliant if the maximum concentration value is up to 0.1% by weight in homogeneous materials for lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB and PBDE, and is up to 0.01% by weight in homogeneous materials for cadmium.
By offering RoHS-compliant products well in advance of the July 2006 deadline set by EU, ATP shows the commitment to its OEM and channel partners to deliver products that are not only of high quality and performance, but also meets the strict environmental policies set by legislation. This enables its partners to integrate ATP’s best-in-class memory products into their supply chains without any non-compliance issues.
"The intention of ATP pro-actively going through the RoHS compliance qualification process is not only to comply with future standards," said Tim Hsieh, president of ATP. "We are taking a leadership position to promote these very important initiatives and to follow environmentally responsible practices. The fact that we can deliver lead-free “Green” products without any performance or quality compromises is an added benefit to our partners and customers. This practice is also at the core of ATP’s corporate culture,"

U.S. Office of Naval Research Selects Dynamics Technology, Inc. to Develop a Sonar Target Injection Simulator for Mine Countermeasures
The U.S. Department of Navy, Office of Naval Research (ONR) has awarded Dynamics Technology, Inc. (DTI), a world-class provider of advanced sensor and signal processing products for synthetic aperture sonar and radar solutions, a two-year Discovery and Invention (D&I) award to develop image simulations from physics-based models. The contract requires DTI to develop a sonar target injection simulator for synthetic aperture sonar (SAS) and side look sonar (SLS) imagery. This simulator will develop imagery using a physical model of the mine target and inject this into a scene of collected sonar data for the bottom clutter returns.
(PRWEB) April 10, 2005 -- The U.S. DTI will validate the simulator results against Mine Countermeasure (MCM) computer-aided detection and classification (CAD/CAC) algorithms and related measures.
MCM sonar systems are required to aid the U.S. Navy entering foreign ports and landing troops from deep water right through to the beachhead for amphibious operations. With the increased emphasis on Homeland Defense and escalating terrorist threats, government and military officials understand the importance of maintaining and protecting critical routes and harbors. The same MCM systems can be used for Homeland Defense.
DTI’s PROSAS™ – an advanced sonar processor – provides the spatial resolution required to detect and classify mines at long ranges, such as resolution of inches at hundreds of yards. Compared to conventional sidescan sonars, SAS has the potential to increase area coverage rate (ACR) by an order of magnitude while maintaining continuous high resolution.
This increase in both ACR and resolution creates enormous amounts of image data and data rates. These data and rates are far too large for human operators to sift through in a reasonable amount of time, thus requiring CAD/CAC capabilities. The CAD/CAC systems require training and testing against large numbers of mine target images.
“We are extremely honored to assist the Office of Naval Research with this timely issue and take great pride in the Navy’s confidence in DTI’s advanced sensor and signal processing capabilities,” said Dr. John F. Pesaturo, Senior Vice President of DTI’s Marine Systems business.
DTI previously developed SAS image simulations from physics-based models in an earlier ONR project. This new program extends the earlier work to incorporate collected clutter regions, which will allow for an efficient method of creating CAD/CAC training data. The injection simulation will enable DTI to create the large quantities of target scenes required for training without requiring the sonar to collect large amounts of data on the targets – only a few clutter scenes from different bottom types are required. This will significantly accelerate the deployment and upgrades of MCM sonars for the Navy.
Dynamics Technology, Inc. is a diversified, employee-owned research and development company providing integrated sensor and signal processing products and services for marine, intelligence and homeland security missions. DTI employs over 100 people at offices in Southern California and the metropolitan Washington D.C. area. New Novel Highlights Space Shuttle Orbital Disaster
Space Shuttle return to flight and the deorbit of the Hubble telescope are highlighted in new novel
(PRWEB) April 8, 2005 -- The novel Deorbit the Space Shuttle: Stem Cell rescue summer publication date parallels with progress of the Space Shuttle fleet return to flight and Discovery’s rollout to the launch pad. The novel is in the final stages of editing which includes the adding the recent government decision to deorbit the Hubble Space telescope.
Deorbit the Space Shuttle: Stem Cell Rescue highlights the Achilles heel of the NASA space shuttle fleet. “… blood spraying the white cabin walls of Space Shuttle Atlantis flashed across television screens worldwide.” begins this near-future techno-thriller, a provocative novel by Neil Mavis that dramatizes the terrifying possibilities of a space shuttle rescue mission of a Hubble telescope gone awry.
“The final current event topic that needs to occur before the book is released is the U.S. Supreme Court decision on medical marijuana between Angel Raich and John Ashcroft.” Author Neil Mavis said in Tulsa. “When that decision is rendered by the Supreme Court, the issue of medical marijuana and stem cell research will be threaded throughout the novel according to current events.”
Space shuttle Atlantis is stranded when “the Achilles heel of Atlantis - a single point of failure - has been damaged.” Mavis verified the shuttle’s Achilles heel during discussions with a NASA space shuttle commander.
Deorbit the Space Shuttle: Stem Cell Rescue is a thought-provoking, and page-turning novel including timely topics such as private spacecraft, medical marijuana, and alternative energy. (Heuristic Publishing; Publication Date: June 15, 2005; $16.95).

Patriot Financial USA Announces Free Mortgage Services for Veteran Families of Iraq War
Patriot Financial USA, a California mortgage broker, will make one award to a military family each month, providing a home mortgage finance or refinance with no closing costs. Eligible veterans living in California, Michigan, Ohio and Colorado and who have served in Iraq can apply for the free mortgage services on Patriot Financial USA’s Web site.
Lake Forest, Calif. (PRWEB via PR Web Direct) April 7, 2005 -- Patriot Financial USA, Inc., announced today that it is helping families of U.S. veterans who have served in Iraq by covering all home mortgage finance or refinance costs for one family every month.
Beginning May 1, 2005 in California, Michigan, Ohio and Colorado, the mortgage broker at http://www.PatriotUS.com will choose one military family seeking mortgage financing or refinancing every month and process the mortgage for free.
The financing for the military families in those states will be done at Patriot Financial's lowest available wholesale rates, which are mostly unobtainable by the general public without paying points and fees. Patriot Financial will not make a penny on the transactions and the families will have no closing costs.
Patriot, in order to honor the sacrifices many veterans have made since U.S. forces entered Iraq in 2003, will cover all expenses related to the mortgage transaction, including appraisal and credit reports, title insurance and other settlement fees. The new program by Patriot for patriots is expected to save each military family chosen thousands of dollars in mortgage financing costs.
“Our goal is to do something for our veterans that really helps their financial situation,” said Michael Foote, CEO and co-founder of Patriot Financial USA, Inc. “Some of these families are in a real dilemma and need financial relief. If this program can help at least one family, it will be a success.”
Patriot Financial USA was formed in October 2001. The tragic events of 9/11, which led to America’s involvement in Iraq, were also the inspiration and motivation for the company and corporate name. Cofounders Foote and Zach Southall both come from military families.
Homeowners who meet Patriot’s mortgage qualifications can apply on Patriot’s Web site (http://www.PatriotUS.com) with a letter explaining their individual situation and needs and when they served in Iraq. Returning veterans are eligible as well as current service members and those who have had a family member die of injuries sustained in Iraq.
Not all applicants will qualify, and families must still qualify for the financing through Patriot’s verification of the property, the families’ income and credit. All types of credit will be considered.
This special program is only available for veterans’ families in the states of California, Michigan, Ohio and Colorado although the company expects to offer the monthly award in Massachusetts and Minnesota in the coming months.

Homeland Security and the Department of Defense Initiatives Have Led to Further Innovations in the Renewable Energy Sector
POINT ROBERTS, WA (PRWEB) April 6, 2005 -- www.HomelandDefenseStocks.com (HDS), an investor news portal for the homeland defense and security sector is pleased to feature an exclusive article on the convergence of renewable energy and Homeland Security, “Solar Technology, the Bright Spot in Homeland Security”. Article Excerpt: Solar Technology, the Bright Spot in Homeland Security
By Ann-Marie Fleming, HomelandDefenseStocks.com, RenewableEnergyStocks.com
April 2005
As Homeland Security initiatives focus on protecting the current energy infrastructure and establishing energy independence, attention on renewable energy sources has heightened. With approximately 60% of the oil utilized in the U.S. being imported, often from countries openly hostile to the United States, seeking alternative energy sources has become an issue of National Security.
Within the United States alone, the renewable energy industry has received approximately $14 billion over the past 30 years to help fund its research and development. Over this time, companies have matured, developing products with increased efficiency, cost effectiveness and marketability. The industry’s growth is receiving a significant boost by Homeland Security and the Department of Defense as it focuses on the pursuit of alternative energy sources as a means of securing the nation. As discussed by Dr. Jeff Leonard, President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Environment Fund, “The infiltration of interest from the Defense Department establishment in solar energy resources has begun to drive a huge amount of new funding.” Ten years ago the Department of Energy and NASA were among the biggest supporters in the United States governmental structure of solar technology and today the Department of Defense’s expenditures for solar technology far exceeds all others.

Electrophysics® Expands Options for High-End Surveillance With the SunStar 600™
Cutting-edge technologies combined to offer one of today’s foremost low-light CCD cameras.
Fairfield, NJ (PRWEB) April 5, 2005 -- For demanding situations, high-end surveillance systems require more than just average low-light CCD cameras to provide nighttime images. When security is critical, facilities will rely on their systems to perform above par, no matter what the lighting conditions may be. The Electrophysics SunStar 600 is an ultra-low light camera that incorporates a high-performance CCD, featuring advanced on-chip signal processing. When integrated with surveillance systems, the SunStar 600 will assure that low-light and nighttime conditions will never be vulnerability.
Imaging in near total darkness is now as practical as ever, as the SunStar 600 features an ultra-low light sensitivity of 0.00001 lux. The on-chip amplifier overcomes the fundamental noise limitations of traditional on-chip charge to voltage conversion and off-chip video amplification stages. The camera converts photons to charge in the image area during the integration time period, then transfers the charge through the image store sections of the readout register prior to conversion to a voltage by the low noise output amplifier.
“Low-light conditions should never be considered a weakness, especially for high-end security systems,” said Jay Jones, Director of Night Vision Sales for Electrophysics. “The SunStar 600 provides revolutionary night time imaging capabilities that facilities can depend on to enhance their 24-hour security details.”
The SunStar 600 is not damaged by over exposure, as the fully automatic, on-chip gain control provides a high degree of flexibility to respond to changing light levels. The SunStar 600 can be used in bright conditions, like conventional CCD cameras, and transfer smoothly and rapidly to extremely demanding low-light situations, providing true 24-hour surveillance capability for a variety of applications, including airborne imaging, border patrol, force protection, asset protection and perimeter security. C-Mount compatible, the SunStar 600 can be used with number of lenses, allowing facilities to fine tune the camera per individual range requirements. In addition, a variety of camera housings are also available for specific environmental applications.
Headquartered in Fairfield, New Jersey, Electrophysics develops advanced near infrared, night vision and thermal imaging systems for use in a host of imaging applications. Since 1969, Electrophysics has maintained its focus on delivering products that reflect the company’s exceptional engineering capabilities to meet specific real world demands while keeping pace with rapidly evolving imaging technologies. The Smithsonian’s National Design Museum to Spotlight Atair Aerospace’s Composite Parafoil as Part of Its “Extreme Textiles” Exhibition
The Smithsonian has selected Atair Aerospace’s (Atair AS) Composite Parafoil for display opposite the Wright Brothers’ 1902 flyer to contrast early to state-of-the-art textiles used in aviation. The exhibit entitled, “Extreme Textiles: Designing for High Performance” will be on view April 8, 2005 through October 30, 2005 at the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York City.
Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) April 5, 2005 -- The Smithsonian has selected Atair Aerospace’s (Atair AS) Composite Parafoil for display opposite the Wright Brothers’ 1902 flyer. This display will contrast early to state-of-the-art textiles used in aviation.
Atair AS’s ‘Cobalt’ composite parafoil is being displayed as part of the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum exhibit, “Extreme Textiles: Designing for High Performance.” Atair AS’s parafoils represents the state of the art in gliding parachute design. Also displayed will be a “Birdman Suit” constructed using Atair AS’s non-woven composite textiles and inventive manufacturing techniques.
Led by one of New York City’s own, Daniel Preston, Atair AS is revolutionizing the parachute industry with the development of composite textiles and manufacturing techniques. Atair AS is using its Composite Parachute Technology™ (CPT) to develop highly efficient, light weight parafoils with applications of great social consequence. Atair AS’s CPT is being implemented on autonomously guided parafoils for resupply, and unmanned aerial vehicles for surveillance in IRAQ.
Atair AS’s autonomously guided parafoil systems were developed for the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Center (NSC) to transition the Army’s current WWII-era low altitude, low accuracy, high vulnerability airdrop practices into the 21st Century. Existing airdrop methods expose air and ground troops to threat from insurgents’ inexpensive shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles (SAMs). Guided parafoil systems can be likened to a smart bomb but for safely delivering cargo. Atair AS’s systems can be air dropped at up to 35,000 ft., autonomously glide over 30 miles, and land cargo within 150 ft. of a target—thus saving lives and protecting assets. Cargo for ground and special operations forces includes food and water, medical supplies, fuel, munitions and other critical battlefield payloads.
In conjunction with the exhibit, Preston will speak on Atair AS’s enabling technologies during the Museum’s May 12 symposium at Rockefeller University entitled, “Extreme Textiles: The Space Between Science, Technology and Design.”
“Extreme Textiles: Designing for High Performance” will be on view April 8, 2005 through October 30, 2005. For further information on the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum visit www.cooperhewitt.org.
Atair AS is a Brooklyn-based defense contractor dedicated to modernizing military and industrial airdrop techniques through its range of innovative autonomously guided parachute systems, UAVs, and composite materials. Atair AS is under contract with the U.S. Army/DoD to continue developing state-of-the-art autonomous GPS and INS guided parafoil/parachute systems.

The addition of a world-class manufacturing partner, Parker Hannifin, further strengthens our position and will enable us to achieve economies of scale in a much shorter period of time."
Protonex’s high performance portable fuel cell systems are compact, lightweight and durable, and provide customers with a better solution than shorter term and/or heavier power sources such as batteries and generators. A soldier on a 3-day mission, for example, currently carries 13 primary batteries weighing over 29 pounds, whereas Protonex’s fuel cell system will provide the same amount of power while weighing less than 10 pounds (including all required fuel). In addition to its military efforts, Protonex also intends to adapt its product line to address a wide range of commercial applications.
Parker Hannifin Corporation sees its financial investment in Protonex as a natural extension of the existing strategic partnership between the companies. According to Akbar Naderi, Group Vice President, Parker Hannifin, “Parker has been successfully working with Protonex on joint product development, engineering, design, manufacturing and sales initiatives related to fuel cell products. Together, Parker and Protonex helped Vectrix Corporation deliver the world’s first high-performance fuel cell/electric scooter, and are actively engaged in developing other products. We look forward to leveraging the strong synergies between Protonex’s fuel cell systems and Parker’s industry-leading component design and manufacturing technologies.”
John Butt, Managing Partner, Conduit Ventures added, “As a worldwide fund specifically focused on fuel cells, we understand this market, and it is clear to us that Protonex is well ahead of competition in its power range. Conduit and our fellow investors feel that this funding, combined with the company’s strong military traction, positions Protonex for long-term success.”

BioFit Adds Ergonomic Improvements to Class 10 Clean Room Seating
BioFit Engineered Products announces ergonomic improvements that increase the adjustability of its Microtech high-tech chairs for Class 10 clean rooms and Class 10 combination clean room/static control applications. Armrests that are both height and width adjustable and additional controls for seat and/or backrest adjustment are now available as options on BioFit Class 10 chairs. BioFit can provide the chair adjustability needed for virtually any high-tech work application.
WATERVILLE, OH (PRWEB) April 4, 2005 -– BioFit® Engineered Products announces ergonomic improvements that increase the adjustability of its Microtech high-tech chairs for Class 10 clean rooms and Class 10 combination clean room/static control applications.
Adjustable armrests and additional controls for seat and/or backrest adjustment are now available as options on BioFit Class 10 chairs. The selection increases opportunities for customizing basic Class 10 models to meet the exact requirements of individual users and specific high-tech applications.
BioFit now offers armrests that are both height and width adjustable and have either upholstered or self-skinned urethane pads. Adjustability increases the armrests’ capability to provide proper arm support that can greatly reduce shoulder, back and neck strain from prolonged seated work. The adjustability also adds to a chair’s flexibility in providing comfort and support for multiple users.
The expanded selection of ergonomic controls enables BioFit to provide the chair adjustability needed for virtually any high-tech work application. Depending on the chair model and control selected, a seated individual can adjust seat and backrest height and tilt as needed to support posture changes and work comfortably at desk, bench or high-bench work levels. Seat and backrest can be locked into place as required for the stability needed for close work.
BioFit can offer the additional adjustability by manufacturing Class 10 chairs and stools with a patented Microtech filtration system within the seat cushion. The filtration system replaces an air exchange system with a bag encased in a pan attached to the seat. The new system preserves the original appearance of the chair model while trapping particulates and allowing the seat to conform to body shape.
BioFit also announces Class 10 seating price reductions, made possible by replacing the air exchange system, and manufacture in a clean room to assure compatibility at Federal Standard 209E’s Class 10 level. BioFit assembles, wipes down and packages the Class 10 seating components in a clean room environment. The already-upholstered components are packaged in certified clean room bags, labeled and shipped to the customer for final assembly in a clean staging area. No wipe down by the customer is required.
BioFit offers many ergonomic chair models in its Microtech seating line. The performance package for Class 10 clean room chairs includes chrome-plated metal parts and Grade 2 vinyl upholstery in addition to the Microtech filtration system. The polypropylene filter media achieve Class 10 protection levels by trapping particles 0.10 microns and larger. The filter allows unrestricted air flow with a filter permeability of 180 CFM/Ft.2
Class 10 combination seating protects against static charges by providing 100 percent continuity, with static drain routes around parts that are insulated in standard models, including the armrests. The seating has chrome-plated metal parts, ESD vinyl for static dissipation, conductive casters or glides, and a drag chain for grounding the chair or stool to an ESD-control floor or mat.

Small Colorado Aerospace Company Flies High Over Mars: Red Canyon Software Awarded NASA Contract
Red Canyon Software, Inc., a Denver-based small HUBZone business, specializing in aerospace engineering services, has been awarded a contract with NASA Glenn Research Center. The contract is for the development of NASA’s “MarsFlight” Educational Software Simulator. The Phase I software is currently scheduled to be displayed at the Paris Air Show this June.
(PRWEB) April 3, 2005 -- MarsFlight will be an immersive and interactive simulation of a remotely controlled plane that will fly over Mars with the goal of educating our next generation of explorers. The Mars terrain will be developed using actual data obtained from the Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter (MOLA) which resides on the Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) satellite – currently in orbit around Mars.
According to the Design and Reference document released by NASA Glenn Research Center, “Tens of thousands of people will use MarsFlight every year at many national and international exhibits that NASA participates in. In addition, it is expected that MarsFlight will be available as a free download and will be distributed to educators and schools packaged on a CDROM.”
“This contract is a tremendous win for Red Canyon Software, small Colorado companies and the Colorado aerospace community. It reinforces the fact that Colorado continues to be a leader in space exploration and ranks 4th in the nation in terms of space dollars,” said Barry Hamilton, CEO and Founder of Red Canyon Software. “The MarsFlight Simulator will support Red Canyon Software’s mission by providing school age children a fun and exciting environment to learn about Mars, space exploration and robotic missions, encouraging our next generation of engineers and astronauts, as well as supporting space exploration. By choosing the Space Foundation as our strategic educational partner for Phase II of MarsFlight, we are optimizing the educational value of the software.” Mr. Hamilton also stated, “Without the support of our current clients, Lockheed Martin, Ball Aerospace and SEAKR Engineering, we would not have had the experience and resources to win this contract”.
Phase I will be completed for Beta testing no later than May 20th, 2005. Phase II will be an enhanced version of Phase I, including a dynamic topographic/ atmospheric density display and a dynamic graphic Mars Airplane systems status display. The Phase II option is scheduled for beta testing in April 2006.
About Red Canyon Software:
Since its inception in 2000, Red Canyon Software has written, tested and integrated over 200,000 lines of code for ten NASA missions. Their major clients include Ball Aerospace, Lockheed Martin, NASA and SEAKR Engineering. The company is headquartered in Denver, CO and is a certified HUBZone small business engineering firm. www.redcanyonsoftware.com

My Conference Line Allows Armed Forces Personnel Stationed Far From Home to Talk to Their Whole Family on One Telephone Call, Saving Precious Telephone Time and Money!
Overseas deployment, especially in wartime, causes tremendous stress on servicemembers, their families and friends. Being cut off from communications with their loved ones is a big part of that stress for servicemembers. My Conference Line provides an effective, low cost Teleconference service that boosts morale and helps ease that stress.
Tacoma, WA (PRWEB) April 2, 2005 -- “I just want our soldiers to be able to communicate and boost their morale,” Maj. Paul R Illiff, U.S. Army, told a USO interviewer in 2003. Aware of the psychological value to servicemembers of being able to reach out and touch loved ones by phone, field commanders are doing their best to increase servicemember's access to telephones overseas.
But finding more telephones for them is "slow going", according to Brig. Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, commander of the 35,000 Iraq-deployed troops of the Wiesbaden-based 1st Armored Division, in an interview with Stars and Stripes, the military's daily newspaper. The infrastructure in many countries is not up to the task of handling thousands of more additional phone calls.
Servicemember's access to telephones is limited at best, and those wonderfully reasuring conversations with distant loved ones; sharing news, information and fun, are cut short due to the waiting lines and the high cost of calls to the US.
Now, the Metropolitan Business Council, a Tacoma, Wa. and New York based company is offering a unique, low cost way of helping to solve this daunting communications problem; My Conference Line.
My Conference Line allows the servicemember and his/her whole family, regardless of where they are, to come together on the same phone call. This way, the servicemember can communicate with more people at less cost.
Now, parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters as well as the immediate family can know the happiness and joy of speaking directly to the servicemember.
My Conference Line is a teleconference service. Everyone simply dials the conference number, punches in their access code and talks.
No computers or special phones are needed. Callers can use whatever phone they have and can call from wherever they happen to be. Calls can be made at the convenience of the servicemember, and his/her guests, 24/7; since each subscriber gets their own, permanent access codes. There is no need to schedule calls whenever the company can squeeze you in or wait until conference operators are available.
As many as 96 callers can participate at one time and there is no limit on the duration of the call. Of course, everyone pays the cost of their own call to the conference number, but with today’s long distance plans, the cost is minimal.
The conference calls can even be recorded for later playback on your website, sent as emails or burned into CD’s for sharing with other friends and family, with the optional recording service.
The regular cost for My Conference Line is only $20 per month for unlimited numbers of calls. During the limited, introductory period, subscribers can lock in a 50% savings, bringing the cost down to only $10 per month! There are no other costs, no per minute line charges, or participant fees for the conference service.
My Conference Line is one of the simplest, most cost effective ways of boosting the morale of our brave servicemembers and their loving families!
For additional information, including free, 30 days use of My Conference Line with unlimited calls and no obligation, visit our web site.
