Business Jet Services offers TAWS Compliance Solution for Gulfstream II and Gulfstream IIb Aircraft

Business Jet Services has developed a Terrain Awareness & Warning System (TAWS) for Gulfstream II and Gulfstream IIb aircraft. The company’s TAWS package is the first Sandel unit to receive its Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) and costs approximately $75,000 with installation and STC license.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) May 27, 2005 -- Business Jet Services has developed a Terrain Awareness & Warning System (TAWS) for Gulfstream II and Gulfstream IIb aircraft. The company’s TAWS package is the first Sandel unit to receive its Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) and costs approximately $75,000 with installation and STC license.

Business Jet Services’ TAWS solution was designed to allow for a simple, straight-forward installation, allowing for minimal aircraft downtime. Most installations are completed in about eight days.

“Since Business Jet Services’ TAWS solution was created exclusively for Gulfstream II and Gulfstream IIb aircraft, our product is ideal for owners and operators of those two aircraft types,” said Kevin Jordan, partner of Business Jet Services. “Because we specialize in those two aircraft types, our expert maintenance team is able to efficiently install the TAWS solution with relatively little downtime.”

The Sandel TAWS solution offered by Business Jet Services is a single, copilot side-installed unit with an external annunciator with switches on the pilot side of the cockpit.

Gulfstream II and Gulfstream IIb operators/owners can contact Kevin Jordan at (214) 654-1511 for more information about Business Jet Services’ TAWS solution.

The company also announced that its Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) compliance solution for Gulfstream II and Gulfstream IIb aircraft is expected to receive STC approval in July 2005. The RVSM solution will cost about $145,000 installed and, since the system does not require the replacement of existing electrical altimeters, will only require a minimal amount of downtime – 8 working days.

Business Jet Services specializes in charter, management, maintenance and flight operations services for corporate and private aircraft. The company is affiliated with Business Jet Technologies, which sells and installs Stage 3 hush kits and engine management program development for Gulfstream II and III aircraft; and Business Jet Center, a fixed base operator (FBO) with locations serving Dallas, Texas, at Dallas Love Field and the San Francisco Bay area at Oakland International Airport. Since its founding in 1997 at Dallas Love Field, Business Jet Center has been consistently recognized by prominent industry publications as a world-class FBO.
