SEA Announces New Membership Opportunity

The Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA) has developed a membership option for suppliers that provides flexibility in implementing the SEA Lean Enterprise System.

IRVINE, California (PRWEB) December 15, 2005 -- Michael G. Beason, Chairman of the Board for the Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA), announced a new SEA membership option for supplier organizations in the aerospace, defense and space industry.

According to Beason, “Suppliers now have easy and free access to a broad range of important SEA services and materials. This membership opportunity allows suppliers to tailor implementation of the SEA Lean Enterprise System within their organizations in a way that best meets their needs.”

SEA is the Joint Program Office for the conversion of the aerospace, defense and space industry. As a non-profit alliance of leading industry prime contractors, tier-one suppliers and key industry suppliers, SEA’s purpose is to accelerate supply chain performance. The industry Conversion Plan deploys a collaborative business system - the Lean Enterprise System - adopted by SEA member companies to help supplier organizations expand their capabilities and gain immediate and sustainable improvements.

SEA Associate Membership is available at no cost for the first six months and $2,500 per year, thereafter. Associate Membership includes:

“LES for Managers” Workshop – Associate Members may attend a no cost Lean Enterprise System (LES) for Managers Workshop – a one-day educational forum for leaders who wish to learn about the three tracks of the SEA LES, with an emphasis on management of implementation. SEA founders believe LES implementation is a change management challenge that senior leadership in each supplier company must learn in order to be successful.

SEA Publications – Participants in the “LES for Managers” Workshop receive the “Aerospace Flow” and “Industrial Trainer” books. These books, authored by SEA Industry Practice Leaders, describe SEA methodology in depth. Additional copies may be purchased at low Member Rates.

SEA Communications Forums & Web Casts – Associate Members receive invitations to forums and web casts for various audiences within the SEA community. These audiences include suppliers, buyers, and service providers.

Member Rates on SEA Certification and Materials – SEA Associate Members gain access to SEA materials, certification workshops, and Authorized Service Providers at low Member Rates.

Member Meetings – Associate Members receive invitations to SEA Member Meetings that take place every six to eight weeks in locations that alternate between the east cost, west coast and Midwest. Each Member Meeting is hosted by a SEA prime.
