AIHUA America, Inc. Stocks High Intensity Discharge Bulbs in Their Bohemia, New York Warehouse

AIHUA America, Inc., the US sales office and warehouse for China based HID bulb manufacturer Beijing AIHUA, has received inventory of their most popular HID bulbs. These bulbs are immediately available for sample or purchase from the Bohemia, NY facility.

(PRWEB) October 28, 2005 -- AIHUA America, Inc. (AAI), the US sales office for Chinese bulb manufacturer Beijing AIHUA, has received a large inventory of High Intensity Discharge (HID) bulbs. These bulbs are being stocked in AAI’s Bohemia, New York warehouse to allow for immediate shipment to the US general lighting market.

The average lead-time a lighting distributor encounters when purchasing bulbs manufactured in China is 4-8 weeks. Additionally, the minimum order quantity required by Chinese manufacturers is generally very high. AAI’s US based warehouse eliminates the lead-time and large minimum order requirement, while still giving domestic lighting distributors a very economical, off-brand choice. AAI’s current inventory includes low and mid-high power metal halide, pulse start metal halide, coated metal halide and high pressure sodium bulbs. These bulbs are used in many industrial and general lighting applications. Special wattage, color temperature and PAR bulbs are available upon request.

AIHUA America, Inc. is the worldwide exclusive sales and marketing office for super high-pressure mercury (AHP) lamps as well as the US sales and marketing office and warehouse for HID bulbs. The AHP lamp is used in the front and rear projection industries as an efficient and economical light source. With lamps currently available in wattages from 100 W to 200W, the AHP is a cost-effective choice for industry manufacturers, OEMs, AV service departments and lamp distributors.

For more information about the HID or AHP lamps, or to purchase or sample HID bulbs please contact Gina Sansivero at AIHUA America, Inc.; 1-631-244-3773 ext. 104.

Lite-A-Switch™ Elegant Night Light Improves Hotel Guest Safety & Satisfaction While Lowering Energy Costs

Studies demonstrate that there are significant energy savings gained from installing energy efficient night light products such as the Lite-A-Switch elegant night light in hotel guest rooms. Studies also show that 16% of guests bring night lights with them during hotel stays. This demonstrates an opportunity for hotel owners to improve service levels and reduce liability in addition to realizing energy savings.

(PRWEB) October 25, 2005 -- Multiple studies have shown that one of the largest energy savings opportunities for hotel guestrooms is eliminating the unnecessary extended operation of bathroom lights. According to Sunbeam Hospitality and Andis Corporation about 45% of hotel guests leave the bathroom light on as a night light while they sleep. Research by the US Department of Energy has shown that products like the Lite-A-Switch (www.liteaswitch.com) permanent night light can reduce energy consumption by up to 50% providing payback in as little as 6 months (PIER Lighting Research Program Project 4.1).

Additionally independent studies show that guests want night lights located in hotel rooms. A WRA Research study found that 16% of travelers bring their own night light with them during a hotel stay. A few service oriented hotel organizations have already begun installing a LED night light solution in rooms to cater to this need.

The National Safety Council reports that most accidents occur in the bathroom and recommend night lighting for people over 50. Poor lighting is the 6th leading cause for accidents in the home and a major contributor to hotel room accidents. By following these recommendations and installing energy efficient night lights, like the Lite-A-Switch™ LED night light from Memorytime Inc. (www.memorytime.com) hotel owners can promote guest safety and reduce liability.

The Lite-A-Switch is a patent pending wall mounted night light that securely attaches to an outlet or switch. It uses six long-life LED’s to provide enough illumination to easily navigate in an unfamiliar room. The Lite-A-Switch mounts very much like a standard wall plate, making it subtle and easily incorporated into many room designs.

The Lite-A-Switch™ design allows for secure installation to any existing light switch or outlet plate in minutes making it permanent, kid friendly and appreciated by guests. Available in four different LED color choices, blue, green, pink and white, the Lite-A-Switch™ night light is an elegant and stylish way for hotels to reduce energy and injury costs. In addition to hotel rooms, the Lite-A-Switch can be installed in poorly lighted hall or entranceways. The Lite-A-Switch also serves as a reminder to turn off lights when the switch is installed on the outside wall of a room.

About Memorytime Inc.

Lite-A-Switch (PATENT PENDING) Night Light Solutions are a trademark of Memorytime Inc. Memorytime Corporation was established in 1994 and is a product design and manufacturing company located in Portland, Oregon. For more information visit www.liteaswitch.com

OSEN Releases Energy Suppression Disclosure Testimonial Videos

Earth-shattering never-before-seen video testimonials released for the first time, featuring seven energy inventors. Affidavit witnesses urge an end to suppression of new energy technologies that could eliminate our suicidal dependence on fossil fuel.

VANCOUVER, B.C., CANADA (PRWEB) October 24, 2005 -- In launching its website Saturday, after several months of incubation, the Open Source Energy Network (OSEN.org) is making its debut splash by releasing never-before-seen video testimonials from seven leading alternative energy inventors.

These professional videos were prepared by the Disclosure Project, headed by Dr. Steven Greer, and were underwritten with sizeable funds for high-quality production. They were prepared to serve as testimony that will stand up in court. They document that there are viable new energy technologies which could rid us of our dependence on polluting fossil fuels, and that there have been active efforts in suppressing these. Explosively, these videos reveal names and tactics of this resistance against scientific progress.

This power-packed series includes testimony from Tom Bearden; Thomas Vallone, Paul Czysz, Hal Puthoff, David Hamilton, Ted Loder, Paul LaViolette, several of whom hold PhDs, and all of whom are held in high esteem by their peers in the field of clean energy. Each video is between 45 minutes and an hour in length.

The work of Nikola Tesla is a common theme in these affidavit video interviews. Their combined witness provides a powerful impetus for us to put pressure on our elected officials and demand that they to support the development and penetration into the marketplace of clean energy devices and infrastructure – with the same vigor with which they approached the Manhattan project or the Apollo Project.

As a sampling from the seven videos, Lt. Col. Tom Bearden says that the scientific community must stop snubbing these technologies, and that their doing so has very little to do with science, and very much to do with the politics of science.

Bearden warns that if we do not do something of this magnitude, but only continue to give marginal attention to this matter through token legislation and half-hearted scientific dabbling, then the handwriting on the wall spells our doom. The momentum of “peak oil” continues to drive fuel prices upward, fomenting international unrest which risks creating the kind of Armageddon scenario warned of in the Bible and promoted in pop culture: weapons of mass destruction begin to be unleashed by nations panicking when the traditional energy supplies are choked off. None of this need happen, if the alternatives are developed with all speed, says Bearden.

The testimonials assert that the private sector can do a huge amount to reverse the present disastrous course. Because these technologies are superior in every way – more efficient and more cost-effective ¬– they will create a stronger bottom line for companies promoting them.

In launching their new website, the Open Source Energy Network hopes to also launch another revolution -- the open sourcing of energy technologies. Rather than penury, secrecy and cutthroat battles over patents, the model of co-operation offers to researchers and inventors the best way to beat the suppression of these long-overdue developments and gain sufficient support to achieve optimum results. With the combined efforts of many trained and creative minds, the extracting of clean, free, renewable, and inexhaustible energy – whether it be from the sun, wind, tide, geothermal, from the vacuum of space, or from properties of magnetism and inter-planetary and inter-stellar electricity not yet fully understood – will be realized in our generation.

Matthew L. Carson, co-founder of OSEN, who secured permission to publish the videos, says that "this seven-pack video set of disclosure videos is an apropos way to introduce OSEN to the world."

In 2005 the Electricity Supply Industry is Structured as a Business rather than a Public Service Supplier – See a Breakdown of the Industry Country-by-Country

Research and Markets has announced the addition of ESI 2005 - Edition 11: Electrical Supply Industries & Utilities of the World to their offering.

(PRWEB) October 21, 2005 -- ESI 2005 is a report surveying the global Electrical Supply Industry (ESI). It provides a survey of the ESI in every country and lists the companies in the industry.

In compiling ESI 2005 Ed 11, a database of information about the electricity supply industry in every country over the last 13 years has been built up. In the early years this database reflected a traditionally integrated industry, much of it state-owned. The utilities were classified as generators, transmission companies or distributors. In many countries there were vertically integrated utilities performing all three functions, often with only one company serving an entire nation.

In 2005 the electricity supply industry is structured as a business rather than a public service supplier, with four separate functions; generation, transmission, distribution, supply, the last consisting of the marketing and sales of energy. In many countries competition has been introduced to generation and supply, while transmission and distribution are natural monopolies, since the electricity has to be delivered physically via the same wires. Privatization has escalated. The result is a mix of systems throughout the world, ranging from traditional single vertically integrated utilities serving an entire country, to Electricity Supply Industries with all functions operating separately and in competition.

ESI 2005 is a report designed to outline the ESI clearly and concisely in every country. The characteristics of the industry are summarized for all major countries and advanced economies and in more abbreviated form for the smaller developing counties.

Energy Ventures Organization, Inc. Demonstrates and Tests Its Second Generation Hydrogen Generator Through Hydrogen, Solar, and Wind

Energy Ventures Organization, Inc. a private based Nevada Company that is in the advancement of using "Zero Pollution Energy Solutions" (ZPES) and has been doing various research and development with alternative energy.

(PRWEB) October 20, 2005 -- Along with Partner(AOOR), Apollo Alternative Fuels Company, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Apollo Resources International, Inc OTCBB (AOOR), Energy Ventures Organization is producing hydrogen and converting it to electric power for use in a home, with its hydrogen generator using solar and wind. "Our involvement in technology advancement through research and development is proceeding right on track", stated President Conrad Vergara.

We have completed and are testing our Second Generation "up-scale hydrogen unit" making hydrogen by using electrolysis and the photovoltaic process. Our next step will be to build multiple connected units to produce hydrogen stored, in stainless steel metal hydride tanks, with the capacity to run a standard home on a daily basis. We are also utilizing and testing the "Airgen" fuel cell generator by Ballard Technologies, that is fueled by hydrogen and can produce 1500 watts of power (1 kW), which can power basic small home appliances with natural energy without using any plug in power. We are basically off-grid that is a big step for our research and development team. Cost efficient energy applications are one of our goals for the residential homeowners," stated Mr. Vergara.

The New Energy Bill Extends Wind Power Incentives, Production Tax Credit, and other incentives are soon to be signed into law by the end of the year. Up to 2,500 megawatts of wind energy capacity are scheduled to come on line in the U.S. this year, bringing new power to the equivalent of 700,000 homes and injecting over $3 billion of investment into the power generation sector. With the timely extension of the Production Tax Credit (PTC) the American Wind Energy Association anticipates that strong growth momentum will continue in 2006 and 2007.
Energy Ventures Organizations combined research, design, and development of its hydrogen generator, along with solar and wind is happy to be partnering with Apollo Resources to attain its goals and future objectives." We plan to make hydrogen, solar and wind technologies and other systems an accepted concept that can be an integrated option for distributed-energy production for both on and off the electric power grid.

The future for Energy Ventures Organization is to add significant reliability, diversity and security to the U.S. Energy System and improve the quality of life in this country by expanding inexpensive electricity to all. And to significantly reduce the environmental signature (air emissions) by displacing fossil fuel energy systems with cost effective solar energy systems and other alternative power.

The Energy Policy Act of 2005(H.R. 6) establishes a 30% tax credit up to 2,000 for the purchase of residential photovoltaic (solar electric) and solar water heating. An individual can take both a 30% credit up to $2,000 cap for a photovoltaic system and a 30% credit up to $2,000 cap for a solar water heating system. A 30% tax credit up to $500 per 0.5 kW is also available for fuel cells. The credit is calculated based on the individual's expenditures excluding subsidized energy financing which is defined as "financing provided under a Federal, State, or local program, a principal purpose of which is to provide subsidized financing for projects designed to conserve or produce energy" We at Energy Ventures Organization are committed to that success.

Kissimmee, FL (PRWEB) October 20, 2005 -- Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) is watching Hurricane Wilma closely and reviewing the utility's emergency procedures to restore electricity as quickly and safely as possible should the storm strike the Kissimmee area.

KUA's management team met Wednesday morning to review emergency plans and discuss possible activation of the utility's emergency operations command center. The utility also reviewed its mutual aid agreements that would bring additional crews from other utilities to Kissimmee to provide restoration assistance if needed.

"We are ready to respond if the storm affects our service area," said Jim Welsh, KUA's president and general manager. "We're back to full staff and ready to go."

KUA just recently got all of its service crews back after sending many of them to Mississippi to help restore electric service in areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

If power goes out, KUA advises customers to check all circuit breakers or fuses to help determine if the outage might be the result of a household problem.

Customers who experience a power outage are asked to call the utility's 24-hour outage line at 407-933-7777. After severe weather, KUA crews restore power by repairing power plants, transmission lines, substations and main distribution lines. Once the main power lines are repaired, crews turn their attention to individual customer outages.

KUA reminds customers to be safe as the storm passes through the area and offers these safety reminders:

* Stay away from downed lines, and warn others to do the same. Contact KUA or local emergency officials to report downed lines.
* Do not venture out in the dark because it is difficult to see a downed power line that could still be energized and dangerous.
* Wait a reasonable amount of time before calling KUA to report an outage if your entire neighborhood is without power. The utility can electronically detect widespread outages. Extra calls only jam switchboards.
* Do not connect portable generators to your home's household wiring. This can send electricity back out onto the power lines, seriously injuring or killing linemen working in your neighborhood. Only connect appliances directly to the generator.
* Keep freezer doors closed and sealed. Well-filled freezers keep most foods frozen two to three days if the door is kept closed.
* Turn off large appliances and air conditioners until after the power has been restored.
* Turn off your breakers if you live in a flood prone area.
* Do not attempt to remove or trim foliage within 10 feet of a power line.
* Please be patient. KUA crews will work as fast as safety allows.

Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida's sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric and telecommunication services to 170,000 residents in five Central Florida counties.

Steam and Air-Conditioning Supply in the US

Dublin (PRWEB) October 17, 2005 -- Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c25821) has announced the addition of Steam and Air-Conditioning Supply in the US to their offering.

This industry consists of firms that supply district energy for heating and/or cooling. Typically, firms reticulate hot and cold water or steam via closed mains systems to commercial or residential buildings. The water or steam itself is not consumed; rather customers extract its heating or cooling value. The official industry definition excludes firms whose main activity revolves around the generation and/or transmission of electricity and who supply district energy as a minor associated activity. Rather, it includes the revenue generated from the supply of district energy by these co-generators (so called because they produce both electricity and heat) with the electricity sector, where it represents only a very minor share of the total (less than one per cent). However, it is not only very significant in terms of the total supply of district heating and cooling, but is also the major area of growth in that supply. As a result, steam and air-conditioning supply from co-generators has been included with this industry. This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.

Intelligent Energy Designed For Intelligent Life

Bourne Energy, an alternative energy start-up based in Los Angeles, has developed a new source of power which can be best described as "Liquid Solar Power."

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB via PR Web Direct) October 14, 2005 -- In the new world of power shortages, global warming and terrorism there is a growing need for a more flexible, multi-sourced and intelligent global energy system. Today, our high energy civilization rests on an immense global infrastructure of facilities for extraction, transportation, processing, conversion, transmission and final use whose replacement value costs at least $10 trillion in current monies. 80 million barrels of oil and 280 billion cubic feet of natural gas -- every day -- keeps the world running. And every drop of oil that can be pumped out of the ground is. In fact, for every two barrels of oil currently being consumed only one new barrel is being discovered and that has been going on for twenty years.

In response, Big Oil plans to spend 2.5 trillion dollars on more exploration while many western governments plan to invest billions to expand their nuclear and coal industries. But every day we save energy and search for new power sources Planet Earth’s 200 million square mile surface captures about 100 billion horsepower of the sun’s energy equal to 37 trillion kilowatts annually or 4,000 times the amount of electricity used by all humans on the planet. If we can convert only a quarter of one percent of the Sun’s energy hitting the planet into electricity we can power the entire world with renewable energy.

Bourne Energy, an alternative energy start-up based in Los Angeles, has developed a new source of power which can be best described as “Liquid Solar Power.” Winds generated by the solar heating of the earth pass over the oceans transferring energy to the waves. This energy transfer concentrates the energy from the initial solar power level of about 1 kW/m2 to an average wave power level of 70 kW/m of crest length in certain coastal areas of the United States, Europe and Asia. This figure can rise to an average of 170 KW/m of crest length during the winter and to more than 1 MW/m during storms.

Bourne has successfully completed tank testing a scale model of its OceanStar (OS-1MW) ocean energy harvester which is designed to be cost-competitive, self-contained and highly scalable. The OS-1MW is designed to pump energy on shore to existing electrical power grids. The technology, machinery and manufacturing system are patented by Bourne Energy. The OceanStar project represents four years of research, design and testing and includes optimizing the structure of the wave, refining the hydraulic response of the device, developing an efficient energy absorber for variable speed and extreme stresses, developing an efficient power transmission system, optimizing design for assembly manufacturing and reducing the energy component of construction, maintenance and operation.

Bourne foresees this century will continue to be dominated by fossil fuels. But the current fossil fuels centralized high energy intensive power generation will be increasingly augmented during this period by a growing network of low power alternative energy sites. Solar energy will be built in high sun areas; wind generators in high wind areas; biofuels used in agricultural intensive areas; dams in local rivers as well as ocean power systems placed along the coastal areas. Eventually, one day there may be no need for the drilling rigs, pipelines, tanker fleets, fuel trucks, refineries, coal mines, generator plants, steam towers, nuclear power plants, uranium ore mines, tailing hills, slag pools, uranium reprocessing and enrichment plants, cooling pools and waste storage sites necessary for our current energy system.

For additional information on the news that is the subject of this release, visit www.bourneenergy.com

Bourne Energy is a startup dedicated to developing and commercializing alternative energy technologies including new forms of hydropower. Bourne plans to increase its staff and improve its facilities in order to move to the next stage of testing and improvements to its OceanStar and RiverStar systems.

The NEW QuietSource 11 kW Home Standby generator offers the latest in sound-reduction design in a corrosion resistant enclosure. An engineered air-channeling design, along with sound-deadening material, makes this standby generator quieter than a common central air unit sitting outside a house. Sound level ratings are lower than any local municipality’s definition of noise pollution. In fact, when standing in its proximity, you can carry on a normal conversation. Most generators will rust when scratched because of the steel used in their enclosures. The QuietSource line of generators use aluminum. This type of metal resists corrosion, which is extremely important in coastal areas where the salt sea air can destroy most metals.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 6, 2005 -- Noble & Associates Consulting, Inc, a provider of information technology needs assessments and of business and functional support for E-Business software implementations and upgrades worldwide, announces it's new “Analyst on a Budget Service” (ABs).

ABs will provide the analytical assistance businesses need on a part time basis, rather than requiring a commitment to full-time hiring. Through the new service, Noble & Associates Consulting’s clients will have access to seasoned IT professionals with domestic and global experience in a variety of industries.

Noble & Associates saw signals that their customers and prospects sometimes delayed or postponed decisions regarding e-Business and ERP support because they didn't have the budget dollars to support a full-time commitment. Noble felt that by offering their professionals for 20 or more hours a month to discuss their customers' priorities and review their customers' already implemented software and surrounding needs, they could fill that gap.

"Our customers can attain peak performance and maintain competitiveness using ABs. We believe this service will be especially useful for firms in the $10 million to $100 million range." said Sandra Noble, President of Noble & Associates Consulting. "In cases where there are operational and process concerns unrelated to the IT realm, our partnership network of professionals can help you resolve operational, business process and merger and acquisition issues, as well." she added. ABs begins with an initial assessment to craft an analysis workout plan for the months to come.

Gas Prices Could Rise by 71% This Winter But Don't Turn off Your Gaslight Just Yet

Energy conservation is at the forefront of American debate and concern. With rising gas prices many consumers will discontinue service to yard lights this year, especially in light of recent reports, revealing consumers will pay 71% more to heat homes.

(PRWEB) October 1, 2005 -- The U.S. Department of Energy has outlined several means of conserving energy this winter, including discontinuing service to gas operated yard lights, however, what they have not revealed is that by converting from gas to electric, consumers can save as much as $400 a year, while still enjoying the luminous beauty, sense of security and overall old style charm of a gaslight.

Many consumers refrain from converting, associating electric lighting with iridescent, bright, bothersome lighting that comes with some other types of electric lighting. But this problem is solved with low voltage lighting. One of the best companies for providing energy information and product conservation seem to be Charm-Lite.com, who tout a 25 year history in the lighting and installation business.

“The problem of equally abundant lighting is solved at 1/10 of the cost of gas,” says Charmlite Owner Mark Young, on his website. “And the convenient dusk to dawn system will not waste one watt when not needed.”

Charmlite uses low voltage, frosted bulbs, which perfectly resemble the soft, glowing beauty of gas lighting. Consumers will enjoy the comfort, security and safety many feel with an illuminated gaslight. They won’t have to shut off service to their light. They won’t spend up to $400 a year to operate their gaslight, and they will be guaranteed product satisfaction.

While there may be other companies that provide conversion kits, the truly unique aspect of Charm-Lite is not only that consumers will save hundreds of dollars a year, but also the one-of-a-kind craftsmanship and master art in the copper bulb sockets, which means the parts will not rust, crack or melt, as plastic sockets do.

Even more unique is the recently reengineered dusk to dawn control, utilizing the same circuit design in every commercial streetlight worldwide. Therefore, since these controls were originally created for the commercial industry, and adapted for the residential, the power, durability and capacity of Charm-Lite is not duplicated anywhere else on the market today. Installation is simple, easy and will provide decades of energy and cost savings.

For more information on energy conservation and why you should convert your gaslight to electric, visit www.charm-lite.com.

Lights Go Out for Kissimmee's Historic Power Plant

The original section of the Roy E. Hansel Generating Station was decommissioned on Sept. 30 after 104 years of continuous service.

Kissimmee, FL (PRWEB) October 2, 2005 -- The eight diesel generators that served generations of Kissimmee residents fell silent Sept. 30 after an official decommissioning ceremony hosted by Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA).

Built on the northwestern shore of Lake Tohopekaliga in 1901, the Roy E. Hansel Generating Station produced electricity continuously for 104 years.

"Today is this plant's last in commissioned service," KUA president and general manager Jim Welsh said at the ceremony. "For 104 years she has performed with remarkable distinction."

At just after 12:00 noon an electrical switch was pulled which powered down the generators -- forever. The decommissioning honors went to Welsh, KUA chairman Nancy Gemskie and two daughters of Roy Hansel in whom the plant is named.

"This plant has built an extraordinary record of achievement because it possessed one exceptional asset: generations of operators who were willing to do what it took to keep the lights on in Kissimmee," said Welsh. "And for that, they deserve our profound thanks."

The KUA board of directors authorized the decommissioning of the units in February because they were no longer economical to operate. The historic building and adjacent property will be returned to the city of Kissimmee for future development.

A separate 50-megawatt (MW) combined cycle plant and related facilities will continue to operate at the southern end of the Hansel site until its scheduled retirement date in 2013.

Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida's sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric and telecommunication services to 170,000 residents in five Central Florida counties.
