Fund Established for Explosion Victim Edward Price

Friends and Family of Ed Price, have set up a fund to support him and his family after the terrible day-after-Christmas explosion which resulted in 68% of Ed's body being burned

Monroe, NC (PRWEB) December 28, 2005 -- Friends and Family of Edward Price, electrician from Longs Wire Company in Monroe, N.C. who was severely burned in the day-after Christmas explosion have set up a fund to assist with medical and other expenses that are being incurred.

Ed remains in critical condition at the University of North Carolina Burn Center. Edward Price was severely burned yesterday in a work related explosion. A number of friends of the family have decided to set up a fund for Ed Price's recovery. The Doctors estimate that Ed will be in the hospital until May, 2006. The loss of income, combined with the medical expenses are going to be astronomical.

We are asking that you continue to pray for Ed and Judy Price. In lieu of flowers or cards, please make a donation to the:
Ed Price Recovery Fund,
C/o Judy Price
P.O. Box 1452
Monroe, N.C. 28111

The details surrounding the explosion are still under investigation. What we do know is this: Ed and two other men were working on-site when something went terribly wrong. Another man is also at UNC-Burn unit. The third man was not injured. Ed's injuries are by far the worst and 68% of his body has third degree burns. The Doctors at UNC are saying that he will have to remain in the hospital another 5 months at least.

Friends of Ed Price have set up a website at: www.EdPriceFund.com to disseminate information about Ed's condition.
