Lightolier Expands its Lytecaster® Downlighting Family with High-Performance ENERGY STAR® Rated Frame-In Kits

Lightolier, the leader in interior lighting for over a century, has introduced Lytecaster® ENERGY STAR rated downlights.

(PRWEB) January 9, 2006 -- Lightolier, the leader in interior lighting for over a century, has introduced Lytecaster® ENERGY STAR rated downlights. ENERGY STAR is a government-backed program helping businesses and individuals protect the environment through superior energy efficiency. All products, homes and buildings rated must meet stringent efficiency and environmental standards before receiving the ENERGY STAR approval stamp. The Lytecaster and Lytening Recessed Compact Fluorescent Frame-In Kits (available in 5” and 6 ¾” apertures) further Lightolier’s ongoing commitment to Energy Smart® lighting without sacrificing design, ease of installation or, most importantly, performance.

“Lytecaster’s ENERGY STAR rated products are helping consumers rethink negative opinions about using energy-efficient compact fluorescent lighting in their homes,” says Kenneth Kawa, Product Manager of Lightolier’s Lytecaster business unit. “With Lytecaster, you achieve the precise optics and pleasing architectural design typical of Lightolier, in addition to the environmental and cost benefits of using ENERGY STAR rated lighting in your home.”

The ENERGY STAR Lytecaster Frame-In Kits provide general illumination and wall washing for commercial and residential environments. The provided ballast offers an effective electrical noise filter, and most available Lytecaster reflector trims will work within the frame. All ENERGY STAR qualified light fixtures must last 10,000-20,000 hours, distribute light more efficiently and evenly than standard fixtures, and carry a two-year warranty.
