Heads Up Display for Skydivers on the Horizon

World's first Heads Up display for skydivers now in testing.

(PRWEB) January 2, 2005 -- Skydivers will soon get their hands on the technology used by military pilots. A high-tech display unit has been combined with a powerful data system to produce the world's first Heads Up display for skydivers.

Alti-2 Incorporated is now testing the new Titan SportVueā„¢, a pairing of the popular Alti-2 data systems for skydivers and Motion Research Corporation's patented Heads Up display. Titan SportVue gives skydivers a view of their altitude, speed, wind direction, and other critical information in a helmet-mounted personal display focused at infinity. This breakthrough technology frees the skydiver from glances down at wrist-mounted displays.

"The technology is really exciting!" says Motion Research company president Dominic Dobson. "Alti-2 enjoys a lot of respect and market share in the skydiving industry, and we're pleased to work with them to offer our SportVue Heads Up display technology to skydivers all over the world."

The SportVue technology is already in use by motorcyclists. The SportVue MC1 unit for motorcycles is available at Sportvue.com or Amazon.com. SportVue for bicycles debuts later this year.
