AP9 BusinessMax Uncovers the Latest High-Tech Business Gadgets

AP9 BusinessMax offers small businesses valuable savings on office supplies, equipment and healthcare needs.

Stamford, Conn. (PRWEB) June 30, 2005 -- Small businesses succeed or fail largely on the basis of the products and services they provide their customers. Members of AP9 BusinessMax, a leading discount membership program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC, realize that the right equipment can often mean the difference between fulfilling customer needs in a timely, accurate and consistent manner and coming up short in their customers’ eyes.

The technology revolution of the last decade has increased the speed of communications, production and delivery in ways we never could have imagined twenty years ago. Small-business owners who are members of AP9 BusinessMax can easily and affordably take advantage of the latest technological advancements in business equipment, communications gear and more from top of the line brands like BlackBerry, Treo, and Mac. Members can access their money-saving benefits through AP9 BusinessMax online at DealPass.

While not every technological innovation can be considered “progress,” AP9 BusinessMax offers a few ideas on some recent gadgets that can help small-business owners keep pace with their bigger competitors:
- The BlackBerry 7100t is one of the hottest items on the market. It combines wireless phone, email and data access in a small handset design, along with a Bluetooth hands-free headset. Set up a tee time with clients during your morning commute, stay in touch with prospects while you’re running errands, or send a gift basket to a distributor while enjoying dinner with your family.
- The Treo 650 Smartphone offers you email, an organizer, messaging and web access, with built-in Bluetooth technology for wireless communications — just for starters. It also comes with an MP3 player, a digital camera that shoots videos, and a whole lot more. Whether you need to contact a client from your car or send product specs to a vendor, the Treo 650 can help you deliver your message loud and clear.
- The Mac mini offers a G4 processor, up to 1GB PC2700 main memory, a Radeon 9200 graphics chip, and a hard drive with room for up to 80GB — all in a 6.5-inch square, 2-inch tall box. If you’re short on office space but long on ideas, the Mac mini can fill your needs. And with a suggested retail price under $500, it won’t use up much cash, either.
- Worried about theft? The Linksys Wireless-G Internet Video Camera can send a live video feed with sound through the Internet to a web browser anywhere in the world, which can help you keep an eye on your most valuable assets, even from the comfort of your home.

Alkaline Battery On Track For Extinction

Alkaline batteries are everywhere. They power toys, games, radios, telephones. And it's time they were replaced.

(PRWEB) June 30, 2005 -- Steve Picotte, and independent inventor residing in Topeka, Kansas, has completed two prototype devices to replace standard alkaline batteries in most applications. The device can be built in different sizes and configurations, depending on the need of the unit to be powered.

Picotte says that the device is non-rechargeable, and that it's useful life is rated at five years. "It really is exciting," says Picotte, "when you watch it work the first time."

Picotte thought of the device in 1995, while taking electronics courses at a local technical school. "I worked nights while attending school," he says, "and it came to me like an epiphany. I saw exactly how it was built, how it worked, in my mind. I took a break and sketched it on paper."

His current prototype is designed to deliver 12V power to various applications, and other projects include power supplies for cordless telephones and cell phones. "I know I get tired of having to recharge my phones on a constant basis," Picotte said.

He has entered negotiations with a Chinese manufacturer to mass-produce the devices, but is also discussing his prototype with various toy manufacturers around the globe. "It would be awesome to buy a hand-held game that didn't require batteries, or a flashlight, or anything!" he exclaimed.

“Alkaline battery sales in the United States in 2003 were over $6 billion dollars, and are predicted to climb to over $18 billion dollars by 2009, “ quoted Picotte. “I think those figures will change within the next year.” He said with a grin.

Picotte claims he is also considering other applications for the device, including electric automobiles and radio-controlled vehicles. “There’s really no limit on the number of applications. I think of new things every day, new ways to use this device, including standard consumer products and even military use.”

Game Console Development Doesn't Have to be a War Of The Worlds

Nurve Networks LLC developers of the XGameStation Micro Edition educational game console kit releases the new XGameStation Pico Edition.

Silicon Valley, CA (PRWEB) June 29, 2005 -- Nurve Networks LLC's new XGameStation Pico Edition educational game console development kit is now shipping worldwide. The Pico Edition is a follow up to the previously released pre-assembled XGameStation Micro Edition. The Pico Edition is for students and hobbyists that actually want to build the system by hand from a kit of parts. The Pico Edition comes as a kit complete with a solderless breadboard and all the components to build an entire working game console in about 1-2 hours.

Video games generate billions of dollars in revenue each year and game programming books occupy rows of bookstore shelf space. Video game development has made its way into college curriculums and entire game programming universities have emerged. But video games run on advanced hardware, the design of which is a black art that few understand.

For more than a decade, books by Computer Scientist and best-selling game development author Andre LaMothe (his latest title "Tricks of the 3D Game Programming Gurus") have taught generations of game developers to create today's cutting-edge video games. Now, his focus is changing from video game software to video game hardware with the unveiling of the XGameStation Micro and Pico Editions, a revolutionary new way to learn about the hardware that goes into building game consoles themselves.

The XGameStation Pico Edition (XGS PE) is a complete game development kit inspired by classic systems such as the Atari 2600, 800, Apple II, C64 and Nintendo Entertainment System. The XGS PE kit includes a kit complete with all the parts, necessary cables, an eBook written by Andre LaMothe on the design and programming of the XGS Pico Edition along with all the software necessary to create your own games, demos, and experiments.

Armed with a complete understanding of how the system was built and operates, users then create their own games or play games made by their peers. The online community at http://www.xgamestation.com completes the system's appeal, providing a place for XGameStation developers to share ideas, software and even discuss hardware modifications.

The system plugs into any NTSC TV and supports vintage Atari 2600 controllers. XGameStation Pico Edition's games and applications are stored on the internal processor's Flash memory, allowing users to develop and download their games from a PC using the accompanying tools.

In short, by empowering hobbyists and game developers with a game platform they can truly call their own, the XGameStation Pico and Micro Editions are reviving the magic of programming and hardware hacking for systems like the Apple II, Atari 800 and Commodore 64.

The official Website for the XGameStation is http://www.xgamestation.com, where you will find Media, Downloads, Demos, and more information on purchasing the XGS Pico and Micro Editions.

Making Audio Products Yourself At Home Has Never Been Easier

You do not need to go to a recording studio to record spoken word information products ever again. The software and hardware to do it with a computer has never been cheaper or easier to master.

(PRWEB) June 28, 2005 -- Computers and digital storage is faster, cheaper and more powerful right now than ever before. Software and hardware to professionally record and edit spoken word information products is a skill every person needing to communicate and distribute information to the masses should now learn.

Sony Audio Studio with a PC has the power to record, mix and edit hours of spoken word content that can be distributed on CD or streamed over the internet. Examples of the microphones, audio interfaces and suggested software are explained and offered at http://www.internetaudioguy.com . There is a free ebook there to help you completely understand the self recording and publishing
process.

Mac users have software such as Sound Recorder with OS 10 or Garageband that works great, but the MAC standard for recording is Pro Tools software. It is more expensive than the other PC or Mac solutions mentioned and is really not the easiest system to learn for recording beginners, but Pro Tools is an incredible product.

When you learn to record your self with the proper equipment it opens up a world of communication and product creation possibilites such as:

CD creation
Audio downloads
Streaming audio
Audio books
Sales and training updates
Podcasting
Internet Radio and whole lot more
Telephone interviews
Archiving from tape
Capturing live events

I believe, the most exciting reason to learn the audio editing and layering production skills, skills that consider easy by audio and video producers, is now easy to accomplish by anyone owning a computer and quiet room to record. Becauase of affordable microphones, audio cards, and mixing/recording/editing software like Sound Forge, these easy production skills will allow everyone to easily move over to the next frontier of self info-publishing, home video production.

Video works flawlessly on the web because many streaming video formats, especially, Flash or FLV formate.. See examples at http://www.internetvideoguy.com . With broadband so common place and computers so powerful, web pages can now be infomercials, training modules and entertainment just the internet's counterpart of radio and television. The web is another media of broadcast affordable by everyone. The fact is, if you learn audio production skills, you are just one step away from learning simple video editing, mixing and layering enabling you to make DVD, streaming video or download content.

Google believes this so much, that they have started the https://upload.video.google.com program available to everyone who can create video for sale or pay per view. More about that at http://www.MakeVideoToSell.com

Winegard’s Bob Howell Emphasizes DTV Education and Bottom Line to Satellite Installers in Keynote Speech at Satellite Expo 2005

Detailing key DTV conversion issues, their impact on the industry and consumer and revenue opportunities for installers.

Memphis, Tennessee (PRWEB via PR Web Direct) June 27, 2005 -- In addressing retailers, manufacturers, installers, technicians and satellite industry executives at the opening breakfast at Satellite Expo 2005, Bob Howell, Director, Distribution Systems/Off-Air Antenna Business Group for the Winegard Company, in delivering the Keynote speech, commented on the new draft legislation of the Digital Television Transition Act of 2005, due out at the end of this month. Howell said "while the later date may affect the consumer's sense of urgency, possibly effecting sales levels for manufacturers and retailers of set top boxes and digital TV’s in the short term, I think the extra time will ultimately have a positive result. It gives everyone more time to get their plans straight and it gives us more time to educate everyone about DTV and HDTV, which, in my opinion, will ultimately accelerate interest and sales."

Pointing out that there was a lot of money at stake for everyone, he also particularly emphasized the need for educating satellite installers and the ever-changing sales force in electronic retailers on the DTV conversion, saying "they need to know what equipment is needed, as well understand the local digital plan for their viewing area, so they can properly educate customers on what their expectations should be."

The truly huge impact the conversion to DTV will eventually have on the TV consumer, how they receive TV programming and the continued and increased need for education, was one of the main themes of his speech. In it, Howell said "the key to our success with the transition to DTV, for all of us, is education. Anything and everything we can do to educate everyone within the industry and particularly the consumer is worth the investment. The more educated the consumer becomes in order to make the right choices and decisions about receiving a digital signal, the quicker consumers will adopt the digital TV transition and the more sales will be generated."

Commenting on the advent of local-to-local satellite service to the consumer and its impact the number of homes with Off-Air antennas, Howell said "there will always be a market for Off-Air antennas, because no matter how this transition unfolds, there’s still going to be 30 or 40 million TV sets out there using an Off-Air antenna. Antennas are required to receive Off-Air DTV and HDTV signals from local over-the-air broadcasters. And the right HDTV antenna is no longer an accessory, it is a necessity. Getting the best Off-Air HD picture starts with the best antenna for the job."

Off-Air reception of local DTV/HDTV broadcasts is not only a natural supplement to satellite reception, particularly HDTV, it presents additional revenue opportunities to satellite installers, which is why Howell recommended satellite installer professionals keep up-to-speed on Off-Air antenna installation. "With the emergence of this free over-the-air digital broadcast TV," Howell said, "satellite installers can seize this opportunity to exceed their customer’s expectations and to increase the dollars in their pockets at the same time."

"The needs of the consumer must be paramount to everyone," Howell said, "We can't forget that the consumer drives the sales that keep us all in business and growing. And it's the consumer that will dictate the ultimate success level of this conversion and its benefits to us. I believe that if we all keep in mind what’s best for the consumer, it will be a win win for everybody. Once TV consumers get the HD bug, they're going to want all the HDTV they can get."

Installers were urged to contact their local broadcast stations in their viewing area and ask them for their digital plan and to log on to the CEA’s antennaweb.org’s antenna locator site. He also suggested they access CheckHD.com as another site providing digital/HDTV-programming information for local viewing areas. He said "by doing so, installers can access the knowledge base to properly explain to the customer what's going on in their area relative to digital broadcast stations and what they can deliver and what antenna to sell them, providing the customer with a realistic expectation for their HDTV experience." He further urged his audience to attend as many of the 34 different educational forums and training classes as they could in furtherance of their education.

At the end of the show, Howell said, "I was pleased with the attendance and to see SkyRETAILER's special edition on Satellite Expo 2005 pronounce its opening day 'a Hit' and particularly echoing my comments about education being the key to making the conversion a success.

US Law Enforcement Improves SpeechGuard™ PD-4

Ectaco, Inc. responds to feedback from the law enforcement community and customizes their multilingual translation device accordingly. Speech recognition is improved significantly and more languages and dialects are available for ethnically diverse communities.

(PRWEB) June 27, 2005 -- Ectaco, Inc., the world leader in the development of electronic dictionaries, translators and linguistic software, has introduced a quicker and more robust SpeechGuard™ PD-4. Law enforcement personnel speak into the unit resulting in phrases being instantly repeated in the language of their choice in a clear and audible tone. Linguists, programmers, designers and engineers collaborate to produce the most cost effective and high quality translation units on the market.

Two significant enhancements have been made as a result of the law enforcement community’s concerns. The speech recognition engine of SpeechGuard™ is now faster so users can immediately begin speaking into the device without delay. Target language output transpires in less than half a second after a phrase is spoken in English. Default languages have been expanded by two to include Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Chinese and Polish. PD-4 owners maintain the convenience of being able to customize languages and content at their discretion.

“If communication fails or is compromised, the agency is severely impaired in understanding the needs of the people and providing optimum services,” states Ectaco CEO David Lubinitsky. “Translation services by individuals are cost-prohibitive and sometimes unavailable, plus establishing competency is critical to achieving desired outcomes. Our units are accessible, adaptable, and programmed by a team of highly-skilled professionals. There are more than 50 languages agencies can choose from.”

“Communication is critical to documenting and delivering important information, such as explanation of a suspect’s Miranda rights,” notes Marketing VP Andrew Ageev. “Being able to verbally exchange information improves the quality of law enforcement provided to people of diverse cultures and linguistic backgrounds.”

Use of the unit serves as a powerful public relations tool, with people in ethnically diverse communities realizing their needs are being addressed. A non-English speaking person often feels intimidated in an unfamiliar environment where they only partially understand the intentions of police. The resulting situation can be frustrating for both the agency and the individual.

“Our customers always know their needs before we do,” adds Mr. Ageev, “and that’s why we have made significant changes with SpeechGuard™. We will continuously work with police departments to develop the PD-4 to keep up with the constant changes they undergo.”

Institute for Advanced Learning and Research Facility Receives International Recognition for Audio/Visual Design and Systems Integration

The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research was recently recognized by the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA) for the audio/visual capabilities within its facility.

(PRWEB) June 26, 2005 -- The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research was recently recognized by the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA) for the audio/visual capabilities within its facility. Technical Innovation, an AV integration firm, along with architecture, engineering and planning firm Dewberry, was selected for their work with IALR as a winner in the third-annual ARCHI-TECH AV Awards 2005. Winners were recognized at the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA) AV Communications Excellence Awards Banquet on June 7, 2005 at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Technical Innovation and Dewberry were honored at InfoComm ’05, the annual conference of the ICIA. Technical Innovation and Dewberry won in the $2 million and above category for AV design and systems integration for their work on the IALR facility located in Danville. The competition is sponsored by the ICIA and ARCHI-TECH Magazine and honors outstanding examples of creative and effective integration of technology into otherwise traditional construction projects.

The IALR is helping to transform the economy of Southside Virginia through strategic research programs and by bringing technology and talent to the region. Dewberry and Technical Innovation worked jointly to establish the IALR facility as one of the finest presentation and communications environments in the country. From an educational, governmental, institutional, and corporate standpoint, the AV systems scored high marks both economically and aesthetically.

Maurice Ferrell, IALR’s Director of Advanced Networking and Technology, says that the technology within the facility delivers a cutting-edge ambiance that is noticeable throughout the building. “From a technology standpoint, the IALR facility is comparable to any of the most advanced facilities in the United States,” he said. “The recent ARCHI-TECH Award is a great honor for IALR, Technical Innovation, and Dewberry. This recognition substantiates the IALR’s mission of bringing advanced technology to Southside Virginia.”

Dewberry, a national professional services firm with offices in 14 states, is responsible for the architecture design of the IALR facility. According to Larry Hasson, Project Manager out of Dewberry’s Danville office, designing a building that would serve as a symbol for inspiration and change was paramount for this project. “Dewberry’s collaboration with Technical Innovation accomplished the design goal of both providing a high-tech systems and image that reflects the building’s purpose of economic transformation,” Hasson said.

“The IALR had a clear vision as to what needed to be accomplished at this facility,” notes Gary Benzine, the director of the Raleigh, NC office for Technical Innovation. “Receiving industry-wide recognition for this effort is truly an honor.”

For such a project, the technology had to be dramatic and creative. The first impression is provided by a 3 by 3 hanging plasma screen array (suspended from the ceiling) that greets visitors in the 40-foot high atrium lobby. In addition to the "Great Hall" -- a center with seating for 600 used for corporate and government functions -- the facility also includes three fully integrated conference rooms and a multi-use executive boardroom. An innovative creation, the 45-foot long boardroom (with a 32-foot custom table, side-by-side 61-inch plasma displays, six auxiliary plasma displays, and sixteen separate computer/input links) has been designed to easily divide into two distinct rooms. The finishing element of the project was a group of nine state-of-the-art education classrooms.

“While the blueprints were still on the table during the initial design stages of the facility, Virginia Tech provided its considerable expertise to the team to help plan a high functioning technology building,” said Nancy Franklin, Senior Director of Technology and Programs for IALR. “One of the reasons that the IALR facility has been so widely applauded in the international AV community is that AV functionality was taken into account in the formative stages of the design process. Technical Innovation and Dewberry, along with Virginia Tech, the City of Danville and Pittsylvania County, worked as a team to make the high-tech IALR facility in Southside Virginia a reality and they deserve this great recognition from the ICIA.”

Ingram Micro, Intechra Team up to Eliminate Asset-Recovery Hassles for Resellers; VARs Get Easy Access to Full Suite of Asset Recovery Services

Intechra, LLC, a pioneer and leader in the asset recovery industry, today announced that it has teamed up with Ingram Micro, Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world’s largest technology distributor, to offer value-added resellers (VARs) in the United States a full spectrum of asset recovery services.

Carrollton, TX (PRWEB) June 23, 2005 -- Intechra, LLC, a pioneer and leader in the asset recovery industry, today announced that it has teamed up with Ingram Micro, Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world’s largest technology distributor, to offer value-added resellers (VARs) in the United States a full spectrum of asset recovery services. These services include:
• Refurbishment of remarketable electronic assets
• Remarketing of electronic assets, including investment recovery for the original owners
• Certified data destruction, including indemnification
• Recycling for End-of-Life electronic equipment, including environmental liability indemnification.
• Complete end-to-end logistics services

“Intechra enables Ingram Micro’s customers to extend end-user relationships by providing several very valuable services around the disposal of old equipment,” said Justin Crotty, vice president, channel marketing, Ingram Micro North America. “VARs can engage their customers in refresh discussions with a host of valuable asset-disposition services to eliminate the traditional hassles of pulling out older infrastructure and certifying data destruction. Additionally, the older equipment that is being refreshed may have some residual market value that the VAR can apply toward the purchase of new equipment through Ingram Micro. This better arms VARs to propose new technologies and solutions, offer full removal and disposal capabilities, and deliver advantageous financial benefits to their customers."

As laws tighten that govern the protection of customer data and the end-of-life disposal of electronics, technology users are beginning to realize that, in addition to a technology refresh strategy, they must also have an asset disposition strategy. This agreement between Intechra and Ingram Micro helps solution providers seamlessly fill that need for their customers.

Ingram Micro and Intechra will offer the asset recovery and disposition service through Ingram Micro’s new Ingram Micro Outlet Program at www.ingrammicro.com/outlet.

First Book on How to Make Money Investing in Nanotechnology Released

The first book on how to make money investing in nanotechnology and other so-called “small technologies,” titled "Nanotech Fortunes," has been released by The Nanotech Company.

(PRWEB via PR Web Direct) June 22, 2005 -- The Nanotech Company is pleased to release the first book on how to make money investing in nanotechnology and other so-called “small technologies,” titled "Nanotech Fortunes."

Authored by the company’s founder and managing director Darrell Brookstein, a 32-year career investment professional, author-personalized first-editions of the 256 page hardcover book are only available at the company’s website, www.nanotechnology.com, for a discounted $22.95 (retail $27.95). Best current price for the new book is at www.atlasbooks.com where it appears for $18.45.

Mr. Brookstein is a Duke University graduate who went on to lead investment banking, investment advisory, private equity, venture capital and hedge fund firms. Specializing in speculative, “boom/bust” industries, he teamed with noted bio-nanoscientist, Erkki Ruoslahti, MD, PhD, in 2001, and focused his investment acumen on this misunderstood field.

"Nanotech Fortunes", which informs readers how to make money and avoid losing it in investing in nanotechnology, has already received acclaim in nanotechnology circles. From non-scientist, investor readers:

“This is the first book I have found that tailors to the financial professional as well as a novice like me.” – JH

“If you’ve not read it yet, you’re already behind the nanocurve.” – CJ

“Read this book before you make the mistakes I did.” – JP

Because of Mr. Brookstein’s presentation of other nano-professionals’ and nanoscientists’ input, and the useful appendix, the book is called “The Source” for executives, scientists and investors.

Now, high-tech investors can learn the secrets of investing in the dynamic areas of nanotechnology and other "small technologies" without being intimidated by scientific jargon or hampered by irrelevant information.

Mr. Brookstein said, “I wrote this book for the readers of investment newsletters and books; they are who will enable the profit-exploding commercialization of technologies developed by scientists and engineers. Nanotechnology will drive industries and will touch everyone over decades. Anyone interested in the future of investing should read "Nanotech Fortunes.”

The Nanotech Company assists emerging small tech companies to achieve their corporate development goals and professional investors in investing in “small tech” by accessing its significant scientific, corporate development, and financial advisory resources. The company publishes a free e-digest of international “small technology” news, “The Best of the NanoWeek”.

A New Era for Using Accurate Location in the World

CommunicAsia 2005 in Singapore - NAC Geographic Products Inc. has announced that the GPS and NAC enhanced wireless location based services application - Locamagic (http://Locamagic.biz) has been released to Telus Mobility of Canada. This application is designed for all GPS cellphones to provide address management, locating, navigating, local business searching, cellphone tracking and friends' location monitoring services for more than 30 countries in North America, Europe, South America and Asia-Pacific region (the geographic data are provided by Microsoft MapPoint Web Service).

(PRWEB) June 21, 2005 -- CommunicAsia 2005, Singapore. NAC Geographic Products Inc. has announced that the GPS and NAC enhanced wireless location based services application – Locamagic (http://Locamagic.biz) has been released to Telus Mobility of Canada. This application is designed for all GPS cellphones to provide address management, locating, navigating, local business searching, cellphone tracking and friends’ location monitoring services for more than 30 countries in North America, Europe, South America and Asia-Pacific region (the geographic data are provided by Microsoft MapPoint Web Service).

Using the GPS capability of the cellphone, the locating service of Locamagic provides the Universal Address (Natural Area Code) for every spot on the earth surface so that consumers can get accurate time and accurate location anywhere any time in the world. The Universal Address is a highly efficient representation of an accurate location (see http://www.nacgeo.com/nacsite/) with eight characters to the resolution of 30 meters and ten characters to the resolution of 1 meter, while longitude/latitude coordinates require more than 15 and 19 characters respectively. GPS technology makes accurate locations available everywhere, and the Universal Address makes accurate locations consumer-friendly: easy to remember, communicate, record, input and display. Just like the introduction of mechanical watches that started an era for using accurate time, the launch of Locamagic is to start a new era for using accurate locations in the world.

“With Locamagic running on their GPS cellphone, people will no longer need to look around for landmarks in order to answer the question: Where are you?” said Dr. Xinhang Shen, president of NAC Geographic Products Inc. “This is because they can directly read the Universal Address of their location anywhere in the world from Locamagic. It is the same as time that people can directly read from their watch without the need to check the position of the sun. The Universal Address System generates highly efficient, language independent, systematic and complete digital addresses for all locations in the world to meet the needs from the globalization and digitization.”

With Locamagic, consumers can use the Universal Addresses to represent all the fixed locations in their daily activities: houses, buildings, gates, doors, stores, malls, restaurants, movie theaters, travel attractions, gas stations, bus stops, railway stations, docks, airports, street intersections, street lights, fire hydrants, sewage exits, electric wire poles, mines, wells, etc. They can also use the Universal Addresses to represent temporary locations such as: accidents, crimes, emergency sites, parking positions, dating/appointment places, camping sites, fishing spots, BBQ tables, park benches, archeological discoveries, and other temporary locations in the world.

Locamagic allows you to get Universal Addresses from street addresses, and also get nearby street addresses from Universal Addresses. Therefore, you will not get stuck if you don’t know the Universal Address or the street address. You can use all kind of addresses (GPS location, Universal Addresses, street addresses, street intersections, postcodes/ZIP, points of interest and cities/towns) to specify locations and areas for locating, navigating and local business searching supported by detail location information, street maps, turn-by-turn driving directions, route maps, real-time navigating instructions, maps and lists of nearby businesses in all categories that a traveler needs. Using Universal Addresses instead of a street address on Locamagic can reduce 80% of key input, avoid difficulties in inputting foreign characters, eliminate errors from address databases, and extend the services to all locations no matter whether there are street addresses or not. It will also significantly reduce the cost and response time on Locamagic.

With your permission, the tracking service of Locamagic can show your current and past locations in real time on an interactive map on a desktop web browser that you friends and family can access anywhere in the world. This will be especially useful to track a child, senior, patient, taxi, truck, employee, animal, car, boat, airplane, skier, hiker, biker, or other moving object.

Its friends’ monitoring service gives you even more power in monitoring multiple moving objects with accurate maps and lists on both your cellphone and desktop browsers so that you, your friends and your family can see the locations of all the monitoring objects: a group of people in driving, skiing, biking, hiking, piloting, boating, etc. It can also be used as a vehicle tracking service for tracking taxis, trucks, ships, airplanes, etc.
