Southampton, PA (PRWEB) February 26, 2005 -- www.TempSensor.net - Everyone with Internet access can vote for their favorite Infrared (IR) Thermometer brand in the present user poll at the Temperature Sensor Community Website, http://www.TempSensor.net. There's no cost, no obligation only a chance to indicate your preference along with other IR users to see who come out on top by the end of March, 2005
There are eight major choices, chosen from the world's most popular non-contact IR thermometer makers and one open-ended one. Already a trend is stating to appear with Ircon/China leading the pack. Most users never heard of them. Perhaps only serious users are visiting this unique web location to stay up with current news of temperature sensors.
Each vote is automatically tallied and each person is allowed only one vote per day. Current results are seen after each vote is made. Can you cheat? Can each manufacturer cheat? Sure they can, but then everyone has the same opportunity to bias the results as the others. So the results are expected to reflect an idea of the popularity of the brand and not necessarily the market standings of each brand name.
It's not very scientific as a result, but should be interesting in any event. Have a look and don't take it too seriously. Life is too short.
The "My Favorite IR Thermometer" Poll list of brands includes: Exergen, Ircon/Chino (The leader as of February 22ed), Land/Minolta, Mikron/Impac, Omega/Vanzetti, Raytek/Fluke, Williamson, Corp, ZYTemp or Other. It makes no distinction between handheld, low cost, high cost or online devices. It just lists the brands.
The results of the poll will be tallied until the end of March and a summary will be published on the website along with a news release for the media. There have been other polls, but none quite as name-specific and open as this one.
