Immersive Technologies Announces the Release of the Series 2B Advanced Equipment Simulator (AES) Range

Immersive Technologies announces the release of the Series 2B Advanced Equipment (AE) Simulator. The Series 2B builds on the highly successful industry leading Series 2 by providing Immersive Technologies’ new ES Nexus Technology and Occupant Comfort System (OCS) plus a new Semi-Transportable option.

(PRWEB) March 25, 2005 -- Immersive Technologies announces the release of the Series 2B Advanced Equipment (AE) Simulator. The Series 2B builds on the highly successful industry leading Series 2 by providing Immersive Technologies’ new ES Nexus Technology and Occupant Comfort System (OCS) plus a new Semi-Transportable option.

Wayde Salfinger, Executive Director Simulation Development and Architecture at Immersive Technologies said “Our Series 2 AE Simulators are the established benchmark for simulation training in the Mining Industry with 60 units deployed around the world. The release of the Series 2B raises this standard through improved flexibility, occupant comfort levels and the introduction of ES Nexus Technology which puts the infrastructure in place for our next generation of Conversion Kits.”

ES Nexus Technology is the result of three years of research and development conducted by Immersive Technologies. This system now forms the backbone of the electronic to software communication system in our new Series 2B training simulator products.

With ES Nexus compliant Conversion Kits, each console is now an intelligent component that allows the integration of second generation devices which require high data communication rates such as audio and video that further extends the level of training skills transfer. ES Nexus Technology is designed for the extreme conditions typical in Mining related environments. This reliability further extends AE Simulator’s proven infield availability. ES Nexus Technology allows Immersive Technologies to further accelerate the development process and bring high quality, highly supportable products to the market in shorter timeframes.

The new OCS included in the AE Simulator Series 2B Transportable simulator further ensures the trainer and trainee receive a consistent and sufficient flow of filtered fresh air. This results in maximum trainee concentration levels within a highly comfortable learning environment.

ES Nexus and OCS upgrades are available for Series 2 AE Simulators separately or as a package.

The new Semi-Transportable Series 2B simulator option provides customers who infrequently need to relocate their simulator from site to site with a very efficient means to do so at a price less than the highly transportable AE Simulator.

“These new technologies are an example of how our large customer base continues to help further develop our products. This ongoing feedback, of best practices in Simulation Training within the mining industry, ensures Immersive Technologies continues to extend its lead as the market leader”, said Wayde Salfinger.
