Agent QC Announces New Wireless Risk Management Solution for Supply Chain Monitoring

Prince Edward Island, Canada (PRWEB) May 10, 2005 -- Agent QC, a subsidiary of Sensor Wireless Inc., is launching their new Production Line and Supply Chain Risk Management Solution. The solution is available for use in various industries such as electronics handling, automotive, consumer products, packaged food, beverage handling and perishable goods and is available immediately for commercial use.
Agent QC was developed to assist plant engineers and quality conscious companies with the ability to instantly identify, measure, control and validate occurrences in the production of perishable and non-perishable goods which are resulting in lost revenues.
This patented solution consists of a custom designed bi-directional wireless Sensor Module developed as a unique active RFID tag. This solution differs from traditional RFID technology as it can mimic real product shapes and sizes or be attached directly to product assemblies. The Sensor is capable of communication with Position on Demand (PODs) readers installed at transfer points to monitor the position of the sensor both in-line and/or as part of a package while also transmitting condition measurements instantly to remote laptop running Instant Quality Analysis (IQA) Live software. This allows immediate alerts to be issued as to exactly where, what and how defects have occurred or to verify efficient equipment operation and human action.
An important aspect of the solution, PODs can be placed throughout the materials handling system and in other known transfer points in plant or throughout the supply chain. These PODs act as markers (RFID readers) that send real-time unique identifier ID’s to the sensor module. PODs are removable and can be either battery operated or wired to a permanent power source. When the sensor module passes the POD an event marker is placed in the software. When using IQA Live desktop software users are alerted to above limit thresholds between POD locations. Users can troubleshoot specific problem areas and historical information can be saved for verification and audit purposes. With this new software you also have the ability to convert to PDF or Excel, so your data can be saved for future use.
This cost effective Supply Chain Risk Management Solution is easily integrated into Six Sigma processes for identifying defects in production systems, as well TQM and other quality methodologies. The Solution is targeted specifically at brand loyalty/brand maintenance, liability and accountability of product quality, uptime improvements, elimination of waste, noise reduction and food safety.
