Strategic Test Announces Lower Price for PXA270 Development Kit
PXA270 Development Kit now includes Windows CE 6.0 / 5.0, and Linux 2.6.20 - at no extra cost
Woburn, MA (PRWEB) July 28, 2007 -- July 26, 2007. Strategic Test, a world-leading supplier of Marvel XScale PXA320, PXA270 and PXA255 Development Kits and System-On-Modules (SOM) has announced a price reduction of $1000 on their PXA270-based TRITON Development Kit-3 effective August 1, 2007. In addition, the Kit-3 will now be supplied with Microsoft Windows CE 6.0 and CE 5.0, plus Linux 2.6.20 at no extra cost.
The Development Kit-3 also comes with 24 months of free technical support, software updates, and hardware warranty.
The Development Kit-3 was released in October 2004 as the first PXA270 reference platform to be supplied with both Linux and Windows CE 5. Regular updates to the Linux and Windows CE BSP have been published and supplied as free updates.
The Kit-3 is a complete development solution that includes:
a 6" x 4" carrier board
TRITON-270 520 MHz PXA270 SODIMM module (64 MB SDRAM and 32 MB Flash memory) preloaded with Linux or WinCE
software CD with operating systems and tools
comprehensive manual that contains the carrier board schematics
cables and 220/110 VAC power supply adaptor
24 months technical support with free software updates
The carrier board includes:
socket for TRITON-270 SODIMM
IDE headers for all TRITON-270 signals
UCB1400 CODEC and touchscreen controller
Compact Flash and SD/MMC socket
10/100 Mbps Ethernet
USB 1.1
three RS232 and a JTAG interface
LCD and VGA connectors
a wide range 8 to 40 VDC power supply that is protected against in-vehicle transients.
From August 1, 2007 the price of the TRITON Development Kit-3 is $3,250 and is available from stock. TRITON-270 SOM are available with both 520 MHz and 312 MHz processors with up to 128 MB SDRAM and 64 MB Flash. Prices of the SOM start at $114 for Qty 1000.
