Softwrap Offers Logistics Solution Powered by SwiftCD

Softwrap, a world leader in digital rights management, will be offering software developers and clients a new and unique logistics solution, powered by SwiftCD's on-demand manufacturing and fulfillment service. Thanks to SwiftCD, Softwrap vendors will have access to a quick, affordable and powerful cross-selling tool that will be available to customers in the ease of just a few mouse clicks. Physical delivery powered by SwiftCD saves dramatically on hosting costs, and means that - as all the software is already on a disc - there's no need for the customer to go through the often tedious process of downloading the program.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 8, 2022 -- Manufacturing and fulfillment leader SwiftCD (www.SwiftCD.com) today announces that Softwrap, a world leader in digital rights management, will be offering software developers and clients a new and unique logistics solution, powered by SwiftCD's on-demand manufacturing and fulfillment service. Thanks to SwiftCD, Softwrap vendors will have access to a quick, affordable and powerful cross-selling tool that will be available to customers in the ease of just a few mouse clicks.

With this new delivery solution, a purchaser will be able to order a backup copy of the software they purchase on a CD-ROM. Software companies can then include other trials or demos on the disk to be output as desired, with the freedom to change, update or expand menu items or choices at any time. Such physical delivery options give end users the satisfaction of a physical delivery for their purchases, while also giving them the opportunity to review, try out - and purchase - other software titles offered by the same provider.

Physical delivery powered by SwiftCD saves dramatically on hosting costs, and means that - as all the software is already on a disc - there's no need for the customer to go through the often tedious process of downloading the program. Best of all? The service is offered free of charge to Softwrap clients.

How it works:
1. The Software author contacts his or her existing business developer at Softwrap - or contacts e-mail protected from spam bots if they do not have an account
2. The Author/Publisher uploads the title or titles to Softwrap FTP
3. Softwrap uploads the CD to SwiftCD
4. When purchasing a trial version, the end user is offered the option of physical delivery of the title via CD-ROM. There is no charge for the CD - just a minimal fee for shipping and handling.
5. The end user receives the CD, installs the purchase, samples some of the other titles included on the CD - and comes back for another purchase.

"Softwrap is a leader in software wrapper technology and digital rights management, so we're certainly delighted to be able to support them with physical delivery," comments Jason Foodman, Chief Executive Officer of SwiftCD.com. "Thanks to our seamless manufacturing and fulfillment services, Softwrap can now offer the vital option of physical product delivery to their clients."

"The option of physical CD fulfillment for our software customers was a logical and natural next step," comments Dylan Solomon for Softwrap Limited. "In supporting us on this initiative, SwiftCD was able to provide us with a superb solution for our customers."

Okino’s PolyTrans Provides SolidWorks 2005 CAD Data Import Into the Newest Releases of Maya v6.5, 3ds max v7, Lightwave v8, XSI v4 & Others

Okino’s Industry Standard PolyTrans Provides Robust Support for Importing SolidWorks 2005 (and all other major CAD file formats) into the newest DCC/Animation Package Releases

Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) February 5, 2022 -- In timing with the SolidWorks World 2005 International User Conference & Exposition, Okino Computer Graphics announced today that its popular SolidWorks CAD conversion pipeline is now compatible with all newly released versions of Maya v6.5, 3ds max v7, Lightwave v8, XSI v9 and others. This conversion pipeline, an industry staple for the last 6 years, allows native SolidWorks BREP CAD assembly and part files (disk based, or from a live running copy of SolidWorks) to be converted to all major animation packages, 3d downstream file formats and VisSim programs. Okino is one of the longest standing SolidWorks solution partner developers, providing excellent and well refined 3D data translation solutions for SolidWorks users and users of SolidWorks data.

Okino's NuGraf and PolyTrans software can import geometry, hierarchy and materials (assembly data) from native disk-based SolidWorks files or from a running copy of SolidWorks, and subsequently provide high-end rendering, viewing and scene composition of the data, or have the data optimized and then re-exported to all major 3D file formats and animation packages .

“Our SolidWorks 3D data conversion system is by far our most popular and most requested CAD conversion pipeline software,” said Robert Lansdale, president and CEO of Okino Computer Graphics, Inc. “We have dedicated a great deal of effort into making our SolidWorks 3D import conversion, repurposing and rendering pipeline the best in the industry over the last seven years. We have seen demand grow quickly, demonstrating that SolidWorks is the dominant solid modeler for its price range and market. Our pipeline solution allows complete SolidWorks parts and assemblies, with all their nuances, to be converted cleanly and professionally to all other major 3D file formats, animation packages and visual simulation programs. In addition, our software implicitly provides support for photo-realistic rendering and scene composition, 3D data and hierarchy optimization and terrific built-in polygon reduction for handling those truly huge scenes that other downstream applications can’t handle without reduction. Our solution is particularly popular for importing SolidWorks assemblies into the 3ds max, Maya, Lightwave, XSI and Cinema-4D animation programs. We also have kept affordable prices for all of our CAD solutions, including free support and maintenance.”

“SolidWorks is the standard for 3D mechanical design software,” said Brian Houle, Partner Program manager for SolidWorks Corporation. “Combining it with Okino’s product line gives engineers the tools they need to do their jobs faster and better by allowing SolidWorks 3D data to be re-purposed for additional downstream uses and applications. Engineers and designers can now re-purpose 3D data to suit their enterprise, including animation and rendering departments, documentation teams, product manual creation staff, and external third party services who want to use SolidWorks data in other 3D software applications that may not understand or accept SolidWorks data directly.”

Okino Computer Graphics Receives the Honor of the "Front Line” Industry Award for its 'Next Generation' PolyTrans v4

Having defined the industry standard for 3D data translation over the last decade and a half, Okino's PolyTrans receives industry recognition with a "Front Line Award" in the '3D Tools' category.

Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) February 5, 2022 -- Okino Computer Graphics, a leading provider of 3D data translation technologies and solutions, is pleased to announce that it has been chosen as a recipient of the 2004 "Front Line Award" in the 3D Tools category. The category winners were chosen by a panel of 22 judges. Fifty-seven finalists were selected from hundreds of nominees. Eleven winning products were selected across the various category divisions. The other runner-up finalists for the 3D tools category were: Form/Z 4.1 (Auto.Des.Sys), FZ Composer 1.5 (nVidia), gameSpace (Caligari), Impersonator 1.1 (OC3 Entertainment), Lightwave 3D 8.0 (Newtek), Maya 6 (Alias), Painter IX (Corel), PowerSolids 2 (nPowerSoftware), Softimage XSI 4 (Avid) and SpeedTreeRT (IDV Inc). All preceding branded names, product names, or trademarks belong to their respective holders.

As quoted from the January 2005 issue of Game Developer magazine, relating to the award selections:

"As an Art Director I can't count how many times I've heard: 'Can I use software X instead of software Y to do that? I'm so much faster with X.' I'm a big softie, so my answer is always, 'Yes, as long as you can get it into software Y clean and fast.' Of course, that's not always as easy as it sounds. Usually this process is so difficult that after all the translations are done there's no real-time savings. If you count any modifications that happen after the fact, the time lost just isn't worth it. Okino's PolyTrans makes the whole 3D data translation process that much easier. PolyTrans comes with integrated 3DS MAX and Maya plug-ins so you never have to leave your native software. This pipeline is very robust and can translate many types of data -- polygon models, materials, U/Vs, cameras, lights, object and skeleton hierarchies, mesh skinning, and animation. PolyTrans can translate data from many 3D animation and CAD packages, including 3DS MAX, Maya, Lightwave 3D, Mirai, Filmbox, Renderman, Softimage, trueSpace, Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, and many others. PolyTrans provides a functionality that I didn't even think existed at this level. And although it won't transfer everything for everybody, it's the very best importer/exporter you can get." -- Sergio Rosas, Ion Storm.

Some History & Perspective on the Award (By Robert Lansdale, CEO & Founder of Okino). I would first like to say that we are honored, as well as ecstatic, that PolyTrans was chosen as the 3D Tools Front Line Award category winner. For us, this was the “icing on the cake” to end off many years of focused and hard work delivering our next generation & re-architected PolyTrans & NuGraf v4 software family, as well as finally receiving the recognition for all the innovations we have introduced into the 3D data conversion market since the inception of our products 16 years ago.

If there was one single award I have personally wanted Okino to win amongst all others since 1997 it would have been this Front Line Award. Okino has long been the primary innovator and provider of 3D data translation software, pioneering the concept of universal, bidirectional and robust conversion of 3D asset data between all the main CAD, DCC and VisSim file formats and programs, well before other companies found it fashionable to join the game. PolyTrans was the first to provide bidirectional animation conversion amongst all 3D animation programs, the first to bring low cost CAD converters to the masses of DCC (digital content creation) users, the first to provide dedicated & native 3D converter systems for 3DS MAX & Maya (well before they became popular), the first to provide complete scene content conversions with “Load & Render” capabilities (since PolyTrans is/was based on our 16 years of 3D rendering development work), the first to provide accurate, working & guaranteed skinning + skeleton conversions (amongst 3DS MAX, Maya, XSI, Lightwave, DirectX, FBX, etc), the first to provide support for all major 3D file formats in their native forms, and the list goes on. Without doubt PolyTrans has affected the lives and work of thousands of people and companies in the 3D graphics world, reducing their workload considerably (no need to recreate 3D assets from scratch), allowing companies to keep fewer but more specialized 3D artists on staff (no need to retrain them for another 3D animation package if PolyTrans can do the job itself), creating bidirectional 3D pipelines where no such capability existed before in the 3D graphics marketplace, and by having myself and staff provide very personal and hands-on 24x7 tech support to our loyal customers for all these past years.
