Concrete Washout Systems’ Aggressive Expansion Continues Into Central California

California Waste Recovery Will Be Servicing Builders and Contractors in Fast Growing California Counties; San Joaquin and Stanislaus

Elk Grove, CA (PRWEB via PR Web Direct) March 15, 2022 -- Concrete Washout Systems, Inc., announced today that it has signed a licensing agreement with California Waste Recovery Systems (Calwaste) who will distribute and service Concrete Washout Systems (CWS) in San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties of California.

Calwaste, an established solid waste hauling company led by Dave Vaccarezza, an industry veteran in the waste hauling industry, will begin servicing the San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties in addition to their current operations. Calwaste was using a similar product to Concrete Washout Systems patent pending invention as they saw the demand and need developing, but realized the value added proposition of a strong partnership with the leading authority in the concrete washout and recycling marketplace.

“California Waste Recovery Systems welcomes the partnership of Concrete Washout Systems to our family of businesses. Together we are poised and ready to meet the challenges of the booming construction Industry in the Central Valley with this new and innovative product,” stated Dave Vaccarezza, Owner of California Waste Recovery Systems.

“We are very excited to have and industry veteran with Dave’s accomplishments and experience come aboard, realizing the value and opportunity in our business model,” stated Kevin Mickelson, Vice President of Concrete Washout Systems, Inc. “Calwaste has a proven and distinguished track record within the waste hauling industry and with its customer base we feel they are a great addition and asset to our business,” added Mr. Mickelson.

CWS is currently seeking licensed partners in numerous markets across the nation. Each partner will own and operate a Concrete Washout Systems business in their designated region, where they will be responsible for all aspects of the business.

The patent pending CWS is a portable, self-contained and watertight bin that controls, captures and contains concrete washout material and wastewater. It allows trade personnel to easily washout concrete trucks, pumps and equipment on site and facilitates easy off site recycling of the same concrete materials and wastewater, while protecting the storm drain system from potential illegal discharges. The off site recycling component creates an even more environmentally sound application as concrete material is diverted away from landfills and recycled. This system replaces other outdated washout BMP’s, which are costly, unsightly and damaging to the environment since their containment value diminishes, due to inherently faulty material, over use and lack of maintenance.

About Concrete Washout Systems, Inc.
Concrete Washout Systems is a risk management specialist and industry pioneer in concrete washout and wastewater removal, treatment and recycling. The patent-pending Concrete Washout Systems provides a cost effective, environmentally friendly and compliance alternative for homebuilders, contractors, ready mix and pump operators and environmental engineering firms. California Inventor Receives Award for Outstanding Contributions to Conservation in Agriculture

The University of California's Conservation Tillage Workgroup recently recognized Al Ruozi, a Bakersfield inventor, for more than fifty years of research and innovation in reduced tillage farming systems.

Bakersfield, CA (PRWEB) March 8, 2022 -- Born in 1917, Al Ruozi grew up on a small cotton and alfalfa farm in southeast Bakersfield. "As a young boy I learned that you have to walk the furrow to find out what the soil is like. I thought there must be a better way to work the land." World events temporarily interrupted his quest to find that better way. At the beginning of World War II, Ruozi went to work as a welder for Henry J. Kaiser Shipbuilding in Richmond, California. He soon became a lead-man and then a welding instructor for the state. His students built both Liberty and Victory ships for the War Production Board. He entered the U. S. Army in 1945 and was one of the first occupation troops in Japan following the surrender. After the war Ruozi formed Interstate Equipment & Mfg. Co., in Bakersfield, and began to develop a cotton stalk and root shredder that later evolved into a one-pass tillage machine for cotton production.

Growing vegetables on land that had previously produced cotton presented a problem because the root and stubble left in the field would not decay rapidly. The debris left in the soil would mark the developing vegetable crop and downgrade its quality. In the 1950s, implements on the market did a fine job of shredding residue above the ground but no machine could successfully remove and shred both cotton stalks and roots. Ruozi designed his first implement to help cotton growers who planted potatoes after cotton. He envisioned a unique machine that would dig and pull the cotton plants out by the roots, shred them, till the bed and return the mulch to the soil all in one field operation. Local cotton farmers expressed great interest in his machine because it was difficult to grow top-grade vegetables with the cotton stubble still in the field from the previous crop. Ruozi patented his invention and continued to improve its performance each year. He added an optional rebedding attachment so the machine could now perform all fall tillage operations in one trip over the field, allowing farmers to plant their next crop back in the same beds. Ruozi renamed his original implement the "Cotton Shredder-Bedder."

U. S. Dept. of Agriculture tests achieved dramatic results with the use of Ruozi’s machine. They reported a decrease of 80% in land preparation costs and as much as a 20% increase in cotton yield. More recent tests conducted by the University of California's Westside Field Station in Five Points, show substantial savings for farmers who adopt conservation tillage. In addition, this energy-saving system helps to build-up the topsoil by concentrating vital organic matter in the growing area. With improved soil tilth there is less potential for wind and water erosion. Since the Cotton Shredder-Bedder shreds cotton roots as well as stalks, it destroys the habitat of pink bollworm and other cotton pests. Field sanitation is an important cultural practice in keeping destructive insects and diseases under control.

Ruozi has met and overcome many challenges in his life because of his vision and persistence. He states that, “In the 21st century cotton producers must strive to become more efficient in order to be strong competitors in the world market. Cutting production costs through the adoption of conservation tillage is not only good for the farmer but also good for the soil, water and air resources." Ruozi’s Cotton Shredder-Bedder provides the latest technology with a system that is friendly to the environment and sustainable for future generations.

Ohaus Tallies Win With Introduction of New Counting Scale

Low Cost EC Series Counts on the Go
Advancing accuracy, durability and portability into one practical design, Ohaus is introducing the EC Series Counting scales. The new scales, joining Ohaus’ existing line of counting scales, feature and internal counting resolution of 1:600,000. Geared for users seeking more economical and cost-effective counting solutions, the EC Counting Scales provide ease-of-use and reliable results.

Pine Brook, NJ (PRWEB) January 18, 2022 -- The new high-resolution counting scales have capacities from six to 60 pounds, and can count parts as small as 0.0002 pounds (based on model). Ideally suited for a host of counting applications, including annual inventories, stock rooms, print shops and rentals, the EC Series Counting Scales can be used to count parts ranging from semiconductor chips, electronic coils and screws to ticket stubs and seeds.

The EC Series Counting Scales offer all the features demanded from industrial, warehousing and production applications, including easy-to-use manual Average Piece Weight entry with configuration options for either pound or gram display. The scales are designed with a removable stainless steel weighing pan and durable ABS plastic housing, perfect for use in industrial environments. Additionally, the 80-hour internal rechargeable battery with power-saving Auto-shut off feature and integrated carry handles provides true portability.

For fast and accurate counting, users simply place a known quantity of what they wish to count on the scale and press the dedicated Sampling Key or, for components where unit weight is known, simply input the value on the dedicated APW key. The scale will automatically display the total count of all parts on the pan as well as calculate and display the unit weight of the part. Users can start with a small sample size of 10, and then add random lots of pieces (below original sampling size) to increase their APW accuracy. The software in the machine automatically updates and enhances its average piece weight data as components are loaded onto the pan during counting. If the total weight or APW is too low, the EC Counting Scale will warn the user with a warning on the LCD panel.

The EC Series Counting Scales provide weighing, counting and accumulation application modes, and can perform both positive and negative counting, continuously keeping track of how many items have been added or removed from the scale. The counting scales have dedicated keys for the most common counting operations, including sample, tare, zero, APW entry stability, accumulations and pre-set tare entry. Preset tare weights can be quickly entered via the keyboard, or use the Tare key.

The memory accumulation feature keeps a running tally of each individual count – invaluable in batch counting operations or when accumulation counting large quantities of the same part. The new counting scales also include 10 memory locations for storing commonly-used part weights, easily accessed using the numeric keypad.

All of the EC Series Counting Scales come complete with the following standard features:
• Three-window, backlit LCD with fast display of weight, average piece weight and parts count.

Safer Military Vehicles Goal for Louisiana Manufacturer

Starting with little more than a concept, Louisiana chemist Tom Leaverton is producing an exclusive line of products to stop corrosion, prevent leaks, eliminate odors and reduce cooling costs. With a client list including heavy-hitters like the Pentagon, he hopes a “Big Cat” will help him get the word out he can also improve the safety of military vehicles and provide strong, low-cost refugee shelters.

Monroe, LA (PRWEB) December 20, 2021 -- Atlanta sales rep Jay Maddox hopes the holiday focus on goodwill will help him find the right connection to make military vehicles safer and provide low-cost housing for refugees.

“A serendipitous conversation with my sister-in-law introduced me to Pro Set, Inc., a Louisiana manufacturer of pure polyurea,” explains Maddox. “The original product, manufactured by Texaco about 20 years ago, was rigid with few applications. Our chemist and CEO, Tom Leaverton spent three additional years perfecting a more elasticized version, which has since been applied to such high profile projects as the roof of a Pentagon building.”

Leaverton adds, “After I finalized the formula, even I have been surprised by the versatility of the product. Recently, a United Nations delegate asked us to develop inexpensive refugee housing. We used the improved polyurea to design a strong, waterproof shelter to house 6-8 people for less than $700 each. We could manufacture these units all day long to be shipped all over the world, if only we could get the word out to the right folks.”

One person who helps preach the good news is former professional football legend and Leaverton’s longtime friend, Ernie “Big Cat” Ladd, now the company’s marketing director.

“Pro Set is a lot like the AFL in its early years,“ Ladd explains. “Despite its life-and-death struggle against the well-financed NFL, the quality of the AFL ultimately prevailed. They proved that quality-in produces quality-out. Not so long ago, hardly anybody ever heard of Pro-Set or polyurea. Now, architects and engineers are writing our products into their specifications as preferred applications to stop corrosion, prevent leaks, eliminate odors and reduce cooling costs.”

Mike Roberts, Director of Sales, says security concerns have helped to create even more new markets for pure polyurea coatings.

“Since 9-11, all federal buildings require a 250-foot buffer zone,” he explains. “Apply a 1/8” coating of our products as a bomb-proofing agent to the inside and outside walls reduces the buffer requirement to 125 feet. In some cases, federal agencies which may have been forced to relocate because they couldn’t maintain an adequate buffer in their current location can now stay where they are, saving taxpayers thousands of dollars.”

Pro Set officials are also touting the product as an effective, low-cost add-on to improve the safety of military vehicles in Iraq.

“This is the time of year everybody likes to feel good about what they’re doing,” Maddox concludes. “We want to help save lives by applying Poly Pro to the interior of our military vehicles. We’re also working with federal building operators to comply with FEMA regulations to reduce energy costs 30 percent by 2010. We apply a reflective coating, which meets energy conservation requirements and virtually pays for itself in lower cooling costs. Besides that, from the air, it looks like snow. That ought to make Santa happy!”

Stop the Shakin’ with Lovejoy/ROSTA®

Increase Equipment Lifespan and Improve Operation Efficiencies

(PRWEB) December 17, 2021 -- With a shaker screen thirty feet off the ground, it’s hard to tell the difference in component product quality . . . until the system fails. Then, the welds are cracking and the stairs are shaking enough to jar your teeth not to mention the impact on production when crushers and screens come to a halt because of failure. For the manager pushing his equipment to the limits, or a bit beyond during a heavy production cycle, Lovejoy® ROSTA® demonstrates the solution. Visit the company’s corner booth S-14016 in the IFPE section of CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2005, March 15-19, Las Vegas, Nevada

Lovejoy® ROSTA® features the latest technological advancements and most durable choices for the aggregate and mining industries with its line of tensioners, damping and vibration-limiting parts and equipment. Of particular interest, considering the international nature of the show is Lovejoy’s presence and sterling reputation in more than 55 countries around the world.
Superior Quality

A side-by-side comparison of Lovejoy® ROSTA® oscillating mounts with any competitive product illustrates a clearly visible difference in quality of construction. The Lovejoy ROSTA oscillating mounts contain precisely fit elastomeric elements. These parts generally perform for a minimum of seven years under the most rigorous, demanding punishment an aggregate operation can devise. And, only Lovejoy ® ROSTA® products are designed and constructed exclusively to serve the aggregate and mining industries. The expertise, materials and in-field testing clearly demonstrate a superior product package with Lovejoy® ROSTA®.

Several different demonstrations at the booth help visualize for attendees the superior engineered quality, durability and performance capabilities of the Lovejoy® ROSTA® products. In one demonstration AB oscillating mounts on a shaker screen show how quickly and smoothly the technology performs in start-ups and shut-downs. Another demonstration is actual stairs visitors can climb to feel the degree of vibration isolation offered by the AB and AB-D family of oscillating mounts.

Every plant manager appreciates a product that helps extend the life of other equipment parts to help spare maintenance, labor and replacement expenses. A demonstration of the belt tensioner with SE elements and motorbase shows how this product helps extend belt life.

For the toughest equipment to meet the rigors of your aggregate/construction operation, visit the Lovejoy® ROSTA® booth S-14016 in the IFPE section of ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005, March 15-19 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

ROSTA products are based on rubber suspension elements. Patented in 1941, ROSTA products continue to provide best-in-class performance and are used around the world, in millions of applications, replacing metal springs and spring and bearing combinations, reducing component and assembly cost, while improving product reliability and performance. With no metal-to-metal contact, ROSTA elements eliminate the need for lubrication, avoid failures caused by moisture and rust, diminish audible noise associated with moving metal parts, and are absolutely maintenance free.

The Lovejoy /ROSTA® line for the construction/aggregate industries is only part of the many solution-engineered products from Lovejoy. Founded in 1900, Lovejoy enjoys an international reputation as the leading company specializing in flexible coupling design and development. Lovejoy products are available worldwide through distributors in North America and 55 other countries, supported by Lovejoy offices and support staff in Canada, Europe and the USA. (PRWEB) December 16, 2021 -- C & H Machine Shop clients boast brands such as Cheerios, Chex, Total, Wheeties, Betty Crocker, Bisquick, Yoplait and many other household names. Their clients include top food processors such as General Mills, General Foods, Kraft, Pillsbury, and Entenmann’s Bakery, but the average consumer knows nothing about them.

“We build and maintain food processing or baking equipment for some of the largest companies in the world”, says CEO Errol Chung. “However, we’re not a consumer based organization”, Chung continued. “Our clients produce the top consumer brands in the food and baking industry and we help by making sure that their equipment is always in top form. Our clients can rely on the fact that we are able to minimize their down time or build new machines as they need them for their facilities”

C & H Machine Shop moved their facilities from Miami to Orlando in early 2004. Experts agree that C & H Machine Shop new strategic plan will be good for business, clients and the Orlando economy. “Orlando has a need for a top quality food processing and bakery service organization,” says Rohan Hall, veteran business consultant and author of Stop Working. “C & H Machine Shop is positioned to leverage its experience with Fortune 500 clients and mid-size businesses by providing quality services to the Central Florida market.”

“I am not aware of any other organization in the area with the experience and expertise that C & H Machine Shop has in the food processing and baking services industry,” Hall concluded.
