Cub Cadet's Innovative Technology Earns 'Best Buy' Awards for Lawn Mowers
Consumers Digest Awards "Best Buy" to Four Cub Cadet Products
Valley City, OH (PRWEB) April 22, 2008 -- Cub Cadet, a leader in premium riding mowers and outdoor power equipment, brings home four awards. In the March/April 2008 issue, Consumers Digest gives a "Best Buy" rating to four of Cub Cadet's lawn mowers: two in the "Riding Mowers and Lawn Tractors" category; and two in the "Walk-Behind Lawn Mowers" category. The "Best Buy" rating is based on ease of use, performance, and quality of construction.
Consumers Digest compares the best zero turn radius (ZTR) mowers with Cub Cadet's new Zero Turn Tractor (ZTT). The ZTR mowers use a two-lever steering system and can be more expensive than the ZTT. The Cub Cadet Zero Turn Tractor, however, combines zero turn capability with traditional steering. Consumers Digest recommends that "a good alternative to ZTRs is Cub Cadet's new zero turn tractors."
The "Best Buy" award for the Cub Cadet i1000 Series Zero Turn Tractor is in the "Premium Selection" category. A dual transmission allows independent control of rear wheels for 360 degree turns. Accessories include twin bagger, snow thrower, lawn sweeper, lawn detacher, lawn spike, sprayer, and more.
The second "Best Buy" rating for Cub Cadet in "Riding Mowers and Lawn Tractors" went to the Series 1000 LT in the "Economy" category. This lawn tractor is not a zero turn, but it has the best warranty among automatic transmission lawn tractors with cruise control in this price range. This riding mower features reverse mowing, a powerful wash system, and cruise control.
In the "Walk-Behind Lawn Mower" group, the Cub Cadet 11A-18MC010 and the 11A-18MC056 (sold at Home Depot only) models won a "Best Buy" in the "Economy" category. These models feature a single-lever, six position height adjustment, whereas most lawn mowers of a similar price force you to adjust each wheel individually.
