CSI Fleet Card Controls Offer Creative Ways to Save as Gas Prices Continue to Rise

CSI Universal Fleet Fuel Card enhances saving opportunities with a variety of services and card controls, from discounts at the pump, to helping customers find the lowest prices in town, to online real-time card management and reporting. During this time of rising gas prices, finding creative ways to save money is essential. CSI is that solution.

(PRWEB) April 25, 2008 -- Creative financing is no longer a phrase heard only in large corporate boardrooms. In today's world of unrelenting gas prices, finding creative new ways to save money is essential. Businesses across the country that rely on fleets know this all too well, and are looking to solutions such as CSI's Universal Fleet Fuel Card to offer the much needed relief.

"Fuel has always been a major budget item for fleet businesses," said Keith Stone, CSI President. "Today, it too often dwarfs most every expense except payroll."

With gas prices continuing to rise, the CSI Universal Fleet Fuel Card provides discounts at tens of thousands stations, but that's just the beginning. "Today's business climate is overwhelming," noted Stone. "Discounts are a good first move, but to make a credible impact on the bottom line, so much more must be done."

That so much more is what CSI uses to differentiate themselves from the rest of the fuel credit card companies.

First, the CSI Universal Fleet Fuel Card is accepted at almost all fuel locations in the United States, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. With the price of fuel so volatile, being able to take advantage of the lowest price station on any given day is critical.

Finding the lowest price is also critical, and CSI uses a number of sources to bring that information to their cardholders including Smart Buy and CSI Gas Prices, two of the best online fuel price locators.

Perhaps the greatest cost savings comes with the card controls the CSI Universal Fleet Fuel Card offers. Cards are assigned to either a driver or a vehicle and are limited to purchasing either fuel only, or available for fuel and maintenance. The fleet manager may also request different prompts before a purchase is approved.

Other controls a fleet manager may choose to employ include setting a limit on the number of transactions per day, the time of day or day of week a transaction may occur, as well as limiting the dollar amounts spent either by day, week or month. With CSI, all of these card controls are managed and updated online in real time.

Of course practicing good fuel card management is only as good as it is trackable. Every CSI Universal Fleet Fuel Card can be monitored and tracked, as well as reports run and analyzed, all online and in real time. "We want our cardholders to be able to see the results of their good work immediately. And if card privileges are being abused, tracking transactions will make that apparent, and immediate action can be taken," said Stone.

Silicone Gaskets and Pads with High Performance Acrylic Adhesive Backings Now Available from Stockwell Elastomerics, Inc.

Stockwell Elastomerics' adhesive lamination capabilities solve the application engineering problem of securely bonding silicone foam gaskets, closed cell silicone sponge enclosure gaskets and cushioning pads to powder coated metal and certain low surface energy plastics using high strength pressure sensitive acrylic adhesives. Stockwell Elastomerics is a custom manufacturer of silicone gaskets, pads and silicone rubber / elastomeric components for demanding requirements in the technology equipment sector.

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) April 25, 2008 -- Stockwell Elastomerics, Inc. announces the availability of Silicone Foam Gaskets and Closed Cell Silicone Sponge Enclosure Gaskets and Cushioning Pads with high strength pressure sensitive acrylic adhesives for bonding to powder coated metal surfaces and certain low surface energy plastics.

Secure lamination of acrylic pressure sensitive adhesives onto silicone rubber is not possible without priming the silicone rubber. Stockwell has developed primers that allow for lamination of 3M Corporation's 9485 acrylic transfer film adhesive and 9490LE film supported acrylic adhesive onto silicone foam, closed cell silicone sponge and solid silicone rubber. Gaskets are then water jet cut or die cut to size, or slit-to-width into rolls for installation.

"Bonding silicone foam gaskets, closed cell silicone sponge enclosure gaskets and cushioning pads with high strength pressure sensitive acrylic adhesives to powder coated metal and some plastics for often poses a difficult application engineering problem," said Bill Stockwell, President of Stockwell Elastomerics. "We can now offer a solution to provide secure lamination for these applications in industries that we serve."

Acrylic Pressure Sensitive Adhesives for Silicone Gaskets and Pads

3M 9485 acrylic adhesive is .005" thick unsupported transfer film adhesive. Its ultimate bonding strength on stainless steel is 150 lbs / inch of width. 9485 withstands high temperature excursions for brief periods up to 400°F, and long term temperatures up to 300°F continuous without slumping or shearing. This adhesive is well suited for thick silicone sponge gaskets on most metal surfaces. Unsupported transfer film adhesives allow for bonding to contoured surfaces and permit forming corner radii using strips of gasketing.

3M 9490LE acrylic adhesive is .0067" thick film supported adhesive. This adhesive is formulated for secure bonding to most surfaces, including many low surface energy plastics and powder coated metal surfaces. 9490LE withstands high temperature excursions for brief periods up to 300°F, and long term temperatures up to 200°F. Film supported adhesive backings provide dimensional stability, which may benefit the assembly of thin-walled gaskets onto some enclosure designs.

Silicone Foam and Closed Cell Silicone Sponge Materials

Silicone foams and closed cell silicone sponge materials are available from .032" thick to .500" thick in soft, medium and firm densities. Stockwell inventories the complete line of Rogers Bisco™ silicone foam and St. Gobain's Cohrlastic® closed cell silicone sponge.

About Stockwell Elastomerics, Inc.

Stockwell Elastomerics' core competence is the fabrication and molding of silicone rubber and similar high performance elastomers. Stockwell's in-house capabilities include custom molding, die cutting, adhesive lamination and water jet cutting. Many of Stockwell's customers take advantage of water jet cutting for fast turn prototypes and initial production. Stockwell Elastomerics, Inc. is ISO9001-2000 registered.

Rockford, IL (Vocus/PRWEB ) April 25, 2008 -- Host of John Ratzenbergers Made in America” and former "Cheers" star John Ratzenberger talks about the past, present and future of manufacturing in America, and Florida teenage race car driver and welder Brennan Palmiter discusses his new role as the face of youth manufacturing for the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA) on the Better Process” show, a free daily podcast focusing on manufacturing and industry.

Ratzenberger, a long-time proponent for introducing young people to the exciting career opportunities in manufacturing, states that the future of the industry in this country is in our youth. Organizations such as the FMA Foundation and the Nuts, Bolts and Thingamajigs Foundation, an organization I co-founded, aim to encourage youth to consider manufacturing as a career option,” he said.

Its a national hunger right now for our youth to get ‘hands on and actually create something,” he added. These organizations fund camps that allow kids to create something they can build and actually feel good about making.”

Ratzenberger also discusses Palmiters new role as the face of youth manufacturing for the FMA, an announcement that was made at a press conference at the recent Metal Matters 2008 executive summit in Orlando. The FMA and its publication Practical Welding Today will sponsor 16-year-old Palmiter, a Livingood Motorsports race car driver from Ormond Beach, Fla., for the 2008 racing season in one initiative to accelerate the associations outreach efforts to students and encourage young people to consider careers in manufacturing.

Recession Planning Toolkit Offers Businesses Protection from Uncertain Economy

Prepare Your Business to Thrive in Lean Times with Complimentary Planning Tool

Reno, NV (PRWEB) April 25, 2008 -- M3 Planning, a nationwide leader in on-demand strategic planning services has just released the Ultimate Recession Planning Toolkit to help business owners better prepare for an economic slowdown and improve their strategic decision making. Comprised of a compilation of articles, how-to's, and expert advice, the Ultimate Recession Planning Toolkit is also intended to assist in scenario planning as well as serve as an essential starting point for creating a strategic plan with MyStrategicPlan, the company's award-winning strategic planning software.

This arsenal of information is an invaluable antidote against the increasingly troublesome reports delivered daily with news stories lamenting the lagging economy here in the US and abroad. Economic forecasters and analysts are beginning to give in to recession language, with 51% of respondents to a recent poll conducted by the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) indicating they believe a stalled economy is where we may be headed, and Singapore's GIC (The Government of Singapore Investment Corp), one of the biggest sovereign wealth funds, warned on Monday the world could be facing its worst recession in 30 years and that financial markets will be highly volatile. As reported in The Economic Times, GIC Deputy Chairman Tony Tan said, "The financial contagion has now spread beyond US shores, increasing the likelihood of a global financial crisis and recession." He also opined that, "We could be facing a recession which is longer, deeper and wider than any recession we have encountered in the last 30 years."

With advance strategic planning and careful preparation, businesses can help lessen the impact of a slowdown and perhaps even identify new opportunities in the midst of economic turmoil. A company's strategic plan is the "game plan" management has for positioning the company, competing successfully, satisfying customers and achieving good business performance. Basic strategic planning tends to address the incidents of the day, but scenario planning and continuity planning, which are both subsets of strategic planning, should also be included in the planning process. Scenario planning is a way of simplifying a complex future by providing the opportunity to ask the "what if" questions and to rehearse responses while continuity planning lays out the details for ensuring a business doesn't stop running if a particular scenario happens. All three subjects are addressed along with expert advice in the new Ultimate Recession Planning Toolkit.

M3 Planning is a strategic planning firm that works with growth-oriented organizations to develop and execute their strategic plans and has established itself as a source for everything related to strategic planning. In addition to their award-winning strategic planning software, the company is also a resource for other strategic planning tools, books, articles, workshops, and facilitations.

RFID Journal Announces Mojix Wins First-Ever Best in Show Award At RFID Journal LIVE!

The maker of a new long-range passive UHF reader system edges out Lexmark's RFID laser printer system and Omni-ID's high-performance tag.

New York (PRWEB) April 25, 2008 -- RFID Journal, the world's leading media and events company covering radio frequency identification (RFID), has announced that an independent panel of judges, with input from attendees at RFID Journal LIVE!, has selected Mojix's STAR system, as the winner of the 2008 RFID Journal Best in Show Award, at RFID Journal's sixth annual conference and exhibition, which was held last week at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.

The Mojix STAR system was able to read passive UHF tags, based on EPCglobal's second-generation air-interface protocol, from across the exhibit hall, a distance of about 300 feet--in a room full of RF noise from exhibitors demonstrating their own products in the hall. Mojix says a single STAR RFID interrogator can cover as much as 250,000 square feet.

Mojix was one of 10 finalists selected by an independent panel of judges from more than 40 submissions. Each of the finalists was asked to do a presentation in the exhibit hall, and attendees at the event were asked to rate the products. Five judges chose the winner based on the presentations and the input from attendees.

"Attendees consistently rated Mojix's product as the best of the 10 finalists," says RFID Journal executive editor Paul Prince, who was one of the judges. "And the judges were nearly unanimous in their view that Mojix had the best new product."

Lexmark's RFID UHF Option, an add-on for the Lexmark T640, T642 or T644 monochrome laser printers, , was the runner-up. The RFID option comes with a ThingMagic M5e RFID interrogator and antenna integrated into the printer drawer assembly, allowing customers to use their existing T64x laser printers to encode the RFID tags embedded in labels, documents, cards and stickers.

The second runner up was Omni-ID's Prox passive UHF RFID tag, which is smaller than most tags (35mm by 10mm by 4.0mm when sold as a label) and is designed for high reliability, even around metals and liquids. The Prox RFID tag features a "plasmonic structure"--a layer that reflects an interrogator's RF signal and focuses it on the tag's RFID inlay, rendering it immune to interference from outside materials, including water and metal. The 240-bit EPCglobal Gen 2-compliant tag is designed to deliver 99.99 percent accuracy and reliability. The tag is sold either as a label or in a ruggedized plastic case.

The RFID Journal Awards were created in 2007 to highlight the best RFID projects from around the world. The Best in Show award was added this year to showcases some of the best new products exhibited at RFID Journal LIVE!

"The quality of the products that were selected as finalists was extremely high, and there were many other excellent products exhibited at the event this year," says Prince. "It shows the maturation of the industry, as it responds to the real-world needs of end users."

About RFID Journal LIVE! 2008
RFID Journal LIVE! is the largest and most important RFID event in the world. More than 175 companies exhibited at the 2008 event, and 3,300 people attendedit. CV Technology Prepares Companies for OSHA Inspection by Minimizing Dust Explosion Risk With Tripod Approach

CV Technology, the Florida based international leader in dust explosion protection and mitigation gears up to confront the latest OSHA directive on combustible dust.

Jupiter, FL (PRWEB) April 25, 2008 -- The threat of dust explosion is nothing new to industries that process powder and/or bulk solids. Recently an increase in explosive events at various facilities is having a ripple effect across industries nationwide. The Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) have set forward an initiative to raise awareness and force companies to re-evaluate their explosion risk.

The latest OSHA directive, CPL 03-00-008, dated March 11, 2008, describes enforceable policies and procedures regarding inspection of facilities that handle combustible dust. It also sets the maximum allowable dust layer at only 1/32nd of an inch; barely enough to be measurable. With an already high standard and low level for tolerance, OSHA has further articulated the gravity of the directive by conducting random inspections. The fines imposed by not meeting the directives benchmarks for safety can be quite steep. Many companies are finding that a professionally conducted risk analysis can help them identify the areas of weakness and susceptibility for explosion risk.

"You can't completely eliminate the danger, but a risk analysis can certainly reduce probability and severity of an industrial dust explosion," says David Cvetas, President of CV Technology. "Every manufacturing facility needs to understand just how and where their enterprise is vulnerable."

CV Technology combines a legacy of experienced explosion consulting with revolutionary and completely unique explosion prevention and explosion protection technologies. This holistic approach poises the company to tackle any unique requirement of the various industries now targeted for OSHA inspection and prepare any facility to meet and exceed OSHAs new benchmarks.

With what is called the "Tripod Approach", CV Technology covers all aspects of the process from initial analysis, to manufacturing proprietary and custom components, through to implementation. The first and most critical step is a full risk analysis. Dusts are tested and processes are evaluated to determine where and to what extent there is risk for fire or explosion. A full report with recommendations and alternatives is created.

Step two takes the results of the analysis and defines an implementation strategy for optimal protection from explosion. Combustible and fugitive dust weaknesses are minimized and priorities are addressed in relation to their explosion risk.

Step three is a well orchestrated implementation process. Taking into account current processes including surrounding systems, and production schedules, the plan is put into action. Any custom components or mitigating equipment is installed and tested. Finally, plant personnel are properly trained.

"What explosion protection systems really provide is insurance", States Bill Stevenson, Vice President of Engineering for CV Technology. "They give companies the peace of mind that they are operating their plants safely, while not only preventing loss of life, but also protecting their financial security and the valuable process that they depend upon."

More information on combustible dust hazards and techniques to minimize explosion risk can be found on the CV Technology corporate website : www.cvtechnology.com

For further reading on the OSHA CPL 03-00-008 Combustible Dust National Emphasis Program, you can read the directive from the OSHA website : www.osha.gov/OshDoc/Directive_pdf/CPL_03-00-008.pdf

Brush Research Manufacturing Now Offers a New Tool to Silence Squealing Brakes

A unique ball hone 'non-directional' finish eliminates braking noise and extends service life

(PRWEB) April 24, 2008 -- Brush Research is introducing a special line of ball hones to manufacturers, rebuilders and service shops for use on brake system rotors. The new ball hone accomplishes superior metal finishing, eliminating harmonic vibrations.

Imperfect metal finishing can make customers squeal worse than their brakes. Realizing this, Brush Research developed an ultra-smooth honing machine to help the auto industry make silence golden again.

A few years ago, when Miller Industrial Products (Jackson, MI) got an order to make brake drums for Cadillac stretch limousines, they knew from the start that quality and performance were critical issues. The big limos were the heavyweights of passenger cars, and required the support of much beefier axles.

''These stretch limos were not only much larger than standard models in overall size, but also featured bullet-proof windows and doors plus a heavy-duty undercarriage,'' says owner Bill Miller. ''Therefore, the brake system required the size of brake drums used on trucks. But at the same time, since these were ultra-luxury vehicles, the brakes had to be quiet -- and that was a new challenge.''

Miller, a specialist in brake systems, explains that previously, drum-brake systems used asbestos-lined shoes that were inherently much quieter than new ones. Since asbestos has been outlawed, new brakes -- whether drum or disk styles -- tended to be noisy if the metal finishing was not perfectly smooth.

''That is more difficult to accomplish than many people thought at the time,'' Miller explains. ''Any irregularities in the surface of the drums would cause a squeal, hum or slapping noise that was unacceptable to the OEM, which was very understandable.''

Miller says what was needed was a unique honing process to give the brake drums an ultra-smooth finish. To accomplish this, he turned to Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM) in Los Angeles, a manufacturer of power brushes, honing machines and other finishing tools.

''BRM has a history of solving finishing problems, and makes a ball-style honing tool, the Flex-Hone that allows you to achieve a very smooth finish,'' says Miller. ''So we looked at this honing tool and developed a special process to machine the brake drums and then hone them in such a way that they were completely silent. It worked so well that the engineers at Cadillac were amazed.''

Miller adds that the ball-style hone has led to increased business with BRM's help with customized solutions that increase efficiency. ''We're in a very competitive industry and it's always 9-1-1 on turnaround. A lot of customers come to us because they hear we've got the ability to turn a project around quickly.''

The Flex-Hone is a versatile honing machine used throughout industry where metal finishing is involved. Known widely as a tool used for de-burring, plateau honing and deglazing, this is an inexpensive yet sophisticated device. A precision-quality ball hone not only de-burrs bored metal, but can easily remove even microscopic metal shards and fragments.

Established in 1958, Brush Research Manufacturing has been solving difficult metal finishing problems with brushing technology in the sophisticated environments of nuclear energy, aerospace and computer technology as well as automotive and industrial applications.

R•O•M Introduces the DuroMatic Self-Closing PVC Strip Door for Truck and Trailer Applications

Strip Door with Auto-Close Feature is Friendly on Drivers, the Environment and the Bottom Line

BELTON, Mo. (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) April 24, 2008 -- R•O•M Corporation has introduced the DuroMatic Self-Closing Strip Door for the food distribution industry. DuroMatic is ideal for refrigerated trucks and trailer applications where product integrity, driver productivity and reduced wear on cooling systems are integral to efficient operations.

R•O•M’s DuroMatic Strip Door combines the temperature control benefits of PVC strip doors with the driver-friendly benefits of a curtain that opens and automatically closes once the driver and load are out of the unit. By keeping warm, moist air out of the refrigerated compartment, high-run defrost cycles are greatly reduced. In addition, the easy open and self-closing feature eliminates the need for drivers to cut or tie back the strips during product off-loading thus defeating the purpose of having a temperature control strip door in the first place.

Operation of the DuroMatic Strip Door is easy. The system may be installed on side and rear access doors up to 48 inches wide and is fully self-contained, so no lubrication, electrical or pneumatic power is required. After the ramp is deployed and the hand truck loaded, the driver simply pulls a handle to open the curtain and, with easy visibility to ensure safe passage down the ramp, off-loads the product. The DuroMatic strips automatically retract, maintaining cool temperatures and keeping warm, moist air out of the unit. That saves energy, protects the environment and improves driver productivity.

“With all of our products for the food distribution industry, our goal is to reduce costs for our customers, increase driver safety and improve productivity,” says Dan Caffrey, R•O•M National Accounts Manager. “That’s why we’re excited to add DuroMatic Strip Doors to our product line. It’s a driver-friendly way for customers to improve their bottom line.”

The DuroMatic Strip Door is available new and retrofit. More information is available by visiting www.DuroMaticDoors.com or by calling 800-827-3692.

Insight Services Applies Navy Filter Debris Technology to Industrial Equipment

Insight Services, a supplier of condition monitoring services for industrial equipment, announced a new service to extract and analyze equipment wear debris in industrial filters. Insight is commercializing a process the U.S. Navy has successfully applied for years in predicting bearing failure on Navy jets. This promising and exciting development is now being offered to the industrial market to help predict the health of their critical machinery and avoid expensive downtime.

(PRWEB) April 24, 2008 -- Insight's new Filter Debris Analysis (FDA) service involves a technique that back flushes the filter to extract the particulate debris buried in the filter. The removed debris passes through a sensor designed to count and size a representative sample of the particulates. Additionally, a filter patch is prepared containing a representative sample of the particulate debris contained in the filter. This patch is then analyzed by XRF spectroscopy to determine the specific elemental composition of the filter debris.

Wear debris analysis provides early indication of machinery failure by pinpointing component wear. "With increasingly fine filtration, more debris is trapped in the filter and less remains in the lube oil system," explains Dan Richards, President of Insight Services. "This is great for keeping the system clean, but conventional oil analysis is no longer enough to predict failure. It needs to be supplemented by FDA."

FDA can trace its roots to the U.S. military where GasTOPS, a major supplier of technology development services to the U.S. military, refined and commercialized a systematic and repeatable process for the Navy to wash filters and capture wear debris for further qualitative and quantitative analysis. Insight Services is partnering with GasTOPS to bring to the industrial market the same FDA service the military has successfully utilized. "While developed for the military, this advanced technology can also bring great value to the industrial marketplace," believes Dr. Karen Cassidy, President of GasTOPS.

Since 1988 Insight Services has provided advance warning of imminent equipment failures in industrial facilities across the country. Portland, OR (PRWEB) April 24, 2008 -- Miles Fiberglass and Composites of Oregon has recently installed a thermoforming machine capable of processing molds as large as 110" x 110". This is the largest thermoforming machine of its type in the Pacific Northwest. This process is faster and more cost effective than open molding and is a welcome addition to the Miles Fiberglass facility. When compared to open molding, thermoforming has a faster tooling process, can be modified quickly, and parts can be produced faster. Using this vacuum thermoforming process also gives Miles Fiberglass the ability to adapt the strength and flexibility requirements to match the application.

Miles Fiberglass can turn parts from start to finish in as little as three weeks using their thermoforming process. "We have the ability to do everything from novelty parts to industrial and structural parts," says Lori Luchak, President of Miles Fiberglass and Composites, "and we are excited about the additional flexibility of the vacuum thermoforming process. To view some of the custom work Miles Fiberglass has done in the past please visit Miles Fiberglass and Composites.

Benefits of Vacuum Thermoforming
Thermoformed parts have a superior finish to traditional fiberglass and allow for wider material and color choices. Overall aesthetics are superior when using vacuum thermoforming because it uses a combination of heat pressure and vacuum pressure to form precise details and intricate undercuts. Other design advantages include molded in vents and ribs, textured surfaces, and various part sizes. Also, thermoforming machines give you the ability to quickly and inexpensively modify parts as needed.

DRI-STEEM Announces New XTR Electrode Steam Humidifier

DRI-STEEM's new XTR Electrode Steam Humidifier is fully automatic with low maintenance, and sized for homes and smaller office and clinic facilities.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) April 23, 2008 -- Now there is a fully automatic and low-maintenance steam humidifier sized perfectly for homes and smaller office and clinic facilities -- the XTR Electrode Steam Humidifier. Homeowners and smaller-facility owners can now benefit from the reliability and peace-of-mind DRI STEEM quality guarantees.

The XTR humidifier generates steam in a disposable, plastic cylinder and disperses steam into ducts through a dispersion tube, or into open and finished spaces using a steam blower. DRI-STEEM's proven dispersion systems guarantee steam absorption within defined distances for safe, drip-free operation.

Contractors will especially appreciate the range of output capacities available with just one humidifier model, achieved by changing the single-phase voltage:

At 120V, capacity is 4 lbs/hr
At 208V, capacity is 7.1 lbs/hr
At 240V, capacity 8.1 lbs/hr

XTR humidifiers operate automatically. When the humidity level drops, the humidifier automatically makes steam. At the end of humidification season, the humidifier drains automatically after it has been idle for 72 hours.

XTR humidifiers are very easy to maintain -- just replace the affordable plastic cylinder. All water impurities and minerals remain in the cylinder; there are no messy evaporator pads, and no tanks to clean.

Low up-front costs, minimal maintenance requirements, and efficient steam production make the XTR Electrode Steam Humidifier one of the most affordable humidifiers to buy and operate.

San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) April 23, 2008 -- Companies from Pepsi to PetSmart now have a definitive online resource for all of their warehouse and distribution channel needs with http://www.minercorp.com -- Miner Corporation's re-designed website. Ranked as one of the fastest growing privately-held companies in North America by Inc. Magazine, Miner Corporation evolved from a small company focused on warehouse parts sales and service to a national partner of Fortune 1000 companies by providing comprehensive solutions that drive down ownership costs while improving job site safety.

Designed by award-winning communication design firm Toolbox Studios and initiated by Miner consultant Erik Darmstetter of Sales by 5, the new website conveys the full breadth and depth of Miner's offerings as a comprehensive solution provider for the warehouse equipment industry.

Miner's largest marketing challenge--to position itself as the indispensable warehouse operations, data management and asset management partner to businesses of all sizes--evolved as a product of its success: Miner built its reputation in the industry by offering superior service via a sophisticated, national call center and, less than a decade later, became the go-to company for critical warehouse equipment sales and maintenance. As the company quietly grew into a full-scale, comprehensive solution provider offering world-class sales and service, fleet management, data mining and design-build expertise, Miner's management decided to showcase the complete range of capabilities via its Web presence.

Miner's new positioning is apparent on the home page where users are greeted by rotating banner messages highlighting Miner's commitment to expedient service. Miner's solutions are organized by target market and include Fortune 1000 retailers, specialty retailers, manufacturers, distributors, architects, developers and general contractors. The site features an interactive model of a warehouse allowing users to quickly identify the part they need and drill deeper to find detailed information about a complete line of dock, door, warehouse and materials handling equipment for all retail and warehouse applications.

Building on its reputation for top-notch service and safety, Miner's new site makes customer service requests easier than ever before. The new site enables current customers to quickly request service 24/7 through a simple online request form backed up by Miner's Superior Service Guarantee: Same-day response, 24-hour solution turn-around, available 24/7/365, and a 12-month warranty on parts and service.
