Ocean Renewable Energy Included in Senate Energy Bill

Senate Passes Energy Bill 85-12; Ocean renewable energy in federal RPS, DOE Assessment, REPI, MPR, PTC

(PRWEB) June 30, 2021 -- The United States Senate today passed the Energy Policy Act of 2005 with Ocean Renewable Energy Amendments covering the Renewable Energy Production Incentives, Mandatory Purchase Requirements, and Production Tax Credits for ocean renewable energy produced from tidal, current and wave technologies.

Additionally, the bill includes language, similar to the House version, that encourages the Secretary of Energy to provide funding for the assessment of ocean energy technologies. Also, included in the Bill is a Federal Renewable Power Standard (RPS) that has Ocean Energy listed as a qualified renewable. This RPS has a national goal of forcing the U.S. to derive 10% of its energy needs from renewables by the year 2020.

Both H.R. 6 and S. 10, the House and Senate Bills, will go into Joint Conference where differences in the two bills will be negotiated and a final bill, if agreed upon, will be presented to the President for signing into law.

“Fresh from this success, The Ocean Renewable Energy Coalition (OREC) will continue to promote our industry’s interests. We made the difference,” stated Sean O’Neill, President of OREC. “Now, as we move into conference, it is important that we get the House conferees to support the Senate’s position on including the Production Tax Credit and National RPS in the final energy bill. Large interests can’t wait to eliminate support for competing approaches, however small, so we need to maintain our commitment to the promise ocean energy holds in helping to secure our energy future.”

“As we all know, even modest support can help to produce energy from cleaner, more reliable sources. Traditional energy players should, if anything, get behind the smallest of investments, with such bright and promising potential. Over time, through judicious and insightful investments, many large gains that have redefined the energy playing field have started as non-traditional initiatives,” O’Neill added.

Our thanks go out to the many friends who have written and called their elected representatives in Washington and advocated on behalf of ocean renewable technologies. Special thanks are in order for Senators Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Cantwell (D-Washington), Congressman Inslee (D-Washington), Scott Sklar of The Stella Group, Ltd., Henry Gentenaar of Reluminati, Damian Kunko and Scott Lindsay of SMI; the teams at Verdant Power, the Ocean Renewable Power Company, The Ocean Energy Council, RenewableEnergyAccess.com, and EnergyOcean2005.

“We began this campaign two months ago at the EnergyOcean2005 Conference,” stated OREC CEO, Carolyn Elefant. “It was clear the industry needed a voice in Washington. Together, our voices have quickly become one unified, and effective, chorus. Now it’s on to conference.”

Can An Oil Company Help Our Environmental Crisis? Unlikely Alliances Working Together For Change

The planet’s current ecological crisis is without precedent. As we look toward the future, new environmental challenges loom before us. Despite the seemingly endless stream of bad news, progress is being made and you may be surprised at some of the unlikely partners who are working together to better the earth.

(PRWEB) June 29, 2021 -- The planet’s current ecological crisis is without precedent. As we look toward the future, new environmental challenges loom before us. Despite the seemingly endless stream of bad news, progress is being made and you may be surprised at some of the unlikely partners who are working together to better the earth.

Our current energy difficulties have created some strange bedfellows. Alliances desperate to improve some aspect of the environment have formed partnerships you would have never thought possible. General Motors is in advanced discussion with Toyota about jointly building a factory to make hydrogen-powered car engines in order to share the heavy cost of developing hydrogen power. This historic partnership between the world’s two largest carmakers will help speed up the adoption of environmentally-friendly technology.

You would think that an oil company would be the last business to back hydrogen fuel technology, but that is exactly what is happening in Iceland, where an oil company, a gas-powered combustion engine auto company, and an isolated nation have joined forces to develop hydrogen fuel cells. The revolutionary and unlikely partnership between Shell Oil and Daimler-Benz could end up bringing about the next major shift in the world’s energy sources.

“As awareness of the fragility of our ecosystem grows, even some corporate and government hard-liners begin to realize the importance of concepts like alternative energy research, land trusts, public transportation, and slow-growth,” says Karen Roberts, author of Passions and Patience: Fostering Earth’s Future through Unlikely Partnerships. In addition to detailing the situation in Iceland, Roberts cites examples of unlikely partnerships from familiar locations like Oregon to faraway locales like Nepal and Antarctica. Illustrated by the skilled photography of Tim Hauf, Roberts takes readers on a world tour of earth-saving efforts in diverse cultures.

“What I found surprising was that many of the environmental crusaders are usually cast as villains on the environmental battlefield,” says Roberts. She highlights the surprising efforts of hunters, ranchers, developers, and even oil companies. Her book details a situation where hunters and artists worked together with farmers to save ducks. Both sides had nothing in common, yet both worked successfully for the survival of the ducks.

“I truly believe that partnerships, especially between unlikely collaborators, are the solution to discovering innovative, creative plans for the future,” says Roberts. These unique partnerships serve as models for future collaborations and create vital awareness of the environmental challenges we face in our near future.

For a review copy of the book or to set up an interview with Karen Roberts for a story, please contact Jay Wilke at 727-443-7115, ext. 223.

Research and Markets: Much Awaited Profiles of Major Players in the UK Energy Industry

Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c19560) has announced the addition of The Energy Industry Market Review 2005 to their offering.

Dublin (PRWEB) June 23, 2021 -- Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c19560) has announced the addition of The Energy Industry Market Review 2005 to their offering.

The UK has a strong energy industry based on a variety of natural reserves. It also has the environmental conditions to develop a major, new renewable-energy sector through wind energy and, in the longer term, other technologies. In addition, the UK has highly developed expertise in the nuclear-power sector. Structurally, the industry is privatised, with opportunities for new entrants and all end users having a choice of supplier.

This Market Review segments the UK energy industry into seven sectors: oil, natural gas, electricity, nuclear energy, coal, renewable energy and combined heat and power (CHP).

Oil is a key component of the UK's energy industry. There is a major offshore oil industry based in waters surrounding the UK. As well as providing energy for the UK, it is a source of tax revenue and it also supports an export trade. However, production from the UK offshore industry is now declining and, unless new economically viable discoveries are made, output will continue to decline at the present rate of consumption. In the longer term, the UK will increase its oil imports.

The UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) also contains important reserves of natural gas, which provide gas for the UK mains gas supply and fuel for electricity generation. Natural gas production from the UK's offshore industry is now decreasing and an increasing amount of gas is being imported. Gas is a vital component of the UK's energy resources. Future supplies are to be sourced from a variety of regions, including Russia, Africa and the Middle East. The UK has an interconnector gas pipeline to continental Europe.

Electricity in the UK is generated by using coal, gas, nuclear power and, to a much smaller extent, renewable sources. For many years, coal was the main fuel used for power generation, but it has lost market share to gas, which can be burnt more efficiently with fewer carbon emissions. Gas will continue to grow as a source of fuel for power generation. The future role for nuclear power is uncertain. Renewable energy will play a greater role in power generation in the UK. Ofgem regulates the electricity market.

Nuclear power currently provides around a fifth of the UK's electricity. Changes in the structure of the electricity market have had an adverse effect on the competitive position of nuclear power and the main UK nuclear-power generator has experienced serious financial difficulties, resulting in urgent government support. The whole nuclear-power sector is being reorganised in such a way that the Government will take over liabilities for many of the assets. It is hoped that this will make the nuclear-power sector more competitive. This move deals with environmental aspects of the sector, based on the current nuclear-power stations, which are all due to be decommissioned by around 2020, with no plans to replace them. At present, the Government is keeping its options open regarding the future of nuclear power.

The UK's coal industry continues to decline, with less UK-produced coal being used in power generation and much of the coal that is used being imported. Coal produces large amounts of carbon emissions and the installation of clean-up equipment would be very costly. Gas has replaced much of the coal previously used for electricity production. There is now only one major producer of coal in the UK. Deep mines continue to be closed as coal reserves run out or become uneconomic to recover. Opencast coal production is an option, but planning approvals are difficult to obtain.

Renewable energy is a growing sector in the UK energy industry. Targets have been set requiring electricity suppliers to source specified amounts of their electricity from renewable sources. The biofuels sector produces most of the UK's renewable power. As far as new renewable energy is concerned, the wind-power sector is now expanding rapidly, as a result of the emerging offshore wind-power sector.

In combined heat-and-power (CHP) plants, heat produced by the electricity-generation process is recovered and used locally. It is an efficient process, but increases in the price of gas have made CHP plants unattractive. Some CHP schemes have been mothballed. However, new government initiatives have been drawn up to help support the sector.

Statistics, an analysis of industry structure and profiles of major players are included for each sector of the energy industry, in addition to an overview of the industry as a whole.

OilandGasStockNews.com Reports: “Nevada - A North American Oil Hotbed in the Making”

Recent Oil Discoveries and Oil Exploration Activity Support Nevada and Utah Oil Plays.

POINT ROBERTS, WA (PRWEB) June 23, 2021 -- www.OilandGasStockNews.com (OGSN) a global investor website for the oil and gas industry, is pleased to feature an exclusive article on the growing potential of the Nevada area for massive oil discovery and production, “Nevada – A North American Oil Hotbed in the Making.” According to recent data, and current discoveries, this area has the potential to become a North American oil hotbed. Exploring Nevada’s oil potential are companies such as Eden Energy Corp (OTCBB: EDNE), Faskin Oil and Ranch, and FX Energy Inc. (Nasdaq: FXEN).

The OGSN website does not make recommendations, but offers a unique free information portal to investors to research news, articles, interviews and a growing list of participating public companies in the sector.

Article Excerpt: Nevada - A North American Oil Hotbed in the Making.

By Ann-Marie Fleming, www.OilandGasStockNews.com ;
June 2005

Oil discovery in Nevada has been hampered in the past by the lack of a detailed and precise geological survey. In fact, the State of Nevada is one of the only states that has never had a geological survey, which is why Dr. Alan Chamberlain, President of oil and gas exploration company Cedar Strat, has spent the past 25 years creating the first detailed geological map of Eastern Nevada, correcting and significantly expanding on the cursory maps completed in the seventies by the U.S. Geological Survey. With the lack of accurate mapping, Nevada has not been successfully explored for oil, but that is changing.

Until recently, little significant drilling had been completed in the Great Basin area of Eastern Nevada and Western Utah, which is why the near billion barrel discovery made by Wolverine Gas & Oil has opened the eyes of many, and established credibility for those companies already pursuing opportunities within the Great Basin area.

Several oil exploration firms are hoping to take advantage of this western potential for oil discovery through operations in Nevada. FX Energy Inc. (Nasdaq: FXEN) has made a small shallow discovery in Nevada’s Railroad Valley and plans to drill up to three additional exploratory wells in Nevada this year, and Eden Energy Corp (OTCBB: EDNE) is currently developing a 210,000 acre lease block in Eastern Nevada where they have 100% working interest in the block they call Noah.

“Business and Beyond” to feature Western Lakota Energy Services Inc.

Western Lakota provides state of the art contract drilling services to oil and gas companies in partnership with Aboriginal communities.

Deerfield Beach, FL (PRWEB) June 19, 2021 -- Platinum Television Group is pleased to announce the selection of Western Lakota Energy Services Inc. (“Western Lakota”) for its innovative, educational television series “Business and Beyond.” This company will be featured in a segment on “Leaders in the Junior Oil and Gas Industry, Working with the Surrounding Community.”

Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, with an operations office in Nisku, Alberta, Western Lakota is one of the fastest growing public drilling contractors in Canada. They provide state of the art contract drilling services to oil and gas companies in partnership with Aboriginal communities.

Western Lakota began with two rigs in December 2001 and presently operates 22 state of the art drilling rigs: 20 medium depth telescopic drilling rigs and two ultra heavy-duty double telescoping rigs, and is currently building eight new drilling rigs for 2005 delivery. The company acts as the general contractor by building drilling rigs that are fast, efficient, and low-maintenance for its own use (rigs are not sold to other companies) and its customer base includes many of the most active drillers in Western Canada.

Western Lakota works in partnership with Aboriginal communities, such as the Dene Tha’ First Nation, Saddle Lake First Nation, Samson Cree Nation, Horse Lake First Nation, Duncan’s First Nation and the Blood Tribe, and provides the partners with entry to long-term industry ownership and employment opportunities. These partnerships facilitate a productive relationship between oil and gas companies and Aboriginal communities, whereby the communities purchase 50% equity in a rig from Western Lakota.

In addition, the company provides a two-week drilling rig-training program that was launched in October 2004. This program utilizes a portable drilling rig platform that represents an actual working rig and can introduce many safety concepts to trainees. Western Lakota has trained 39 individuals thus far and over 70% of these graduates have gone on to receive employment in the industry.

Western Lakota continues to provide one of the newest fleets of safe and efficient drilling rigs in Canada, while striving to deliver strong results for shareholders, customers and partners.

Protecting America's Borders Impossible? Not If A Computer Science Research Group and A MAGLEV Rail Transportation Company Have Their Way and Build “The Borderline Flyer”

The American Computer Scientists Association (http://www.acsa.net, ITC Reference: http://www.acsa.net/hshrt) and the Interstate Traveler Company (http://interstatetraveler.us) issue a vital notice to America regarding Homeland Security. It is possible to facilitate low-cost, joint protection of our borders: we could save a lot of money and achieve far, far more if the ITC Interstate Traveler, a high speed solar/hydrogen hybrid powered MAGLEV Rail System, were run along both our northern and southern borders. The border patrol version of the Interstate Traveler would be equipped with surveillance devices, protective cars and personnel its entire length. Patrolling the border and monitoring activity would be a cinch, using only a handful of special border observation stations. Best of all, it could all be done without buying any fuel and without polluting the environment. The entire nationwide proposed Interstate Traveler System is designed to run on clean, efficient hydrogen produced by the Traveler's vast network of built-in Solar Energy panels and hydrogen producing hydrolyzers.

(PRWEB) June 20, 2021 -- In today’s announcement, ACSA indicated that the Interstate Traveler System, a proposed MAGLEV system some 50-250,000 miles long, could also assume a vital border-securing role in America’s Homeland Security Future.

“We can easily optimize costs and reduce manpower, while creating a perfect deterrent against terrorism,” say scientists working in the ACSA VISTA Incubator, a project to mentor extremely advanced science and technology which is working with the project.

The Interstate Traveler is a 250 mile per hour, 250,000 mile long MAGLEV system powered by Solar/Hydrogen technology. Described as both a nationwide, fuel efficient, non-polluting transportation system, it has also been described as a way to generate up to 100 Quadrillion BTU/hours (the United State’s entire annual demand for energy) of electricity and low cost, clean burning hydrogen for US consumption, the Interstate Traveler might free America of its fossil fuel dependency.

The system would be self maintaining, autonomously controlled and would provide low cost transportation of people, freight and autos. The Intestate Traveler Company is collaborating with the American Computer Science Association to get it built.

“The biggest technical problem American Homeland Security faces when protecting the borders is to avoid having to position manpower with weaponry every 100 feet along thousands of miles of our borders with Canada and Mexico,” said ITC President Justin Sutton.

“The ‘living line,’ demonstrated by the tremendous effort of ‘the Minute Men’ recently publicized in the news, is something that the Traveler can make much more feasible by extending the range border observers cover the entire border with. That would make it inexpensive and easy to manage. The Interstate Traveler can be equipped with extensive surveillance equipment and vibration/motion sensors, external to the system or mounted right on the MAGLEV Rails themselves. We can send Robotic MAGLEV vehicles to extend the monitoring from central locations. Our standard Rail Cars, provide a way to get the Homeland Security border personnel from a nearby Border Observation Center to any critical point along the border, traveling at 250 MPH. With the advanced surveillance net, we'd be able to easily differentiate between the average Canadian or Mexican civilian going cross border and not confuse them with a dangerous group of terrorists,” he added.

“The speed of the system would allow us to place border observation stations every 75 to 150 miles, to watch everything on both borders with only 30 stations and 2 central offices. That would be more efficient, eliminating the need to place squads of personnel every 100 yards, avoiding expenses beyond which Congress would ever approve. The Traveler houses a huge network of fiber optic internet and internet telephone/video-channel acceleration cables. This was included as part of our plan to also offer enormous bandwidth to the United States’ Very High Speed Internet Backbone. Using only a tiny percentage of that speed, we can easily monitor sensor networks covering up to 60 miles surrounding the border tracks. We’d be able to constantly share our observations with the Mexican and Canadian authorities,” remarked Dr. Timm Finfrock, lead science advisor at ITC.

ACSA’s chairperson, Dr. Jack A. Shulman, whose Vista Incubator is mentoring ITC, stated: “In this special application, the Traveler would be equipped to create as wide as a 60 mile buffer zone the entire length of the United States’ borders with Canada and Mexico. Using about 30 modest sized defensive patrol centers and a pair of central observation posts, special patrol vehicles could use the rail system and go 'off road' where they were needed. The combination of surveillance and 250 MPH Maglev speed, would greatly reduce the cost of monitoring. The ITC always pays for itself anyway: in energy produced and its primary function: low cost transport of people, autos and freight. We can reduce the effort of monitoring the borders to just a handful of special stations and an equally small number of well trained defensive personnel. In larger emergencies, they'd be backed by our National Guard anyway. The speed at which points of incursion could be reached by them and the robust sensor and surveillance camera technology we can equip the Traveler and its MAGLEV Tracks with, makes the difference.”

Dr. Shulman continued: “The Interstate Traveler uses only the Sun as its primary energy source. We can tie in other energy grids for even greater hydrogen production and electricity cast-offs. For Homeland Security functions, if approved, ITC has designed specially conceived MAGLEV cars with Homeland Security features. Clearly, the average cross-border immigrant is not a combatant. He or she come to America either to make some money for their family badly needed back home, or wishes to stay here and bring their family here for a better life. Those are not the people we fear and are not the people who need the aggressive apprehending. Read the inscription on the Statue of Liberty if you have any question about that. But there are other problems.”

ACSA's public policy on the border security problem is "centrist", stated policy spokesperson for the research foundation Andrew Vanoceur. "We want migrating peoples to come here legally and stay legally. We don’t want migrant workers and families in dire straights to become the targets of any anti-Terrorism security system. The methods of surveillance the Traveler would provide are very carefully controllable, providing a clear indication of what's going on, night and day, far from anywhere people reside. The object: to stop terrorists, not to cause any harm to migrant workers trying to gain entry illegally. The decision regarding treatment of migrant workers is both a Federal decision and a local decision in each state. Nonetheless, the US must enhance border security: what is the point of screening our airports as carefully as we do today, if another Mohammed Atta (9/11 attack leader who flew one of the jets into the World Trade Center) can simply walk across the Rio Grande, hail a Cab, hire a limo and blow up a vital business or facility?”

Dr. Timm Finfrock added: “We need to be sensitive to those who need to be treated sensitively. Neighboring citizens seeking a way out of poverty are not necessarily a threat. Protecting against Terrorism and seeing to it that the law is enforced respectfully of it and of human rights and dignity is crucial. Think about that group of Al Qaeda related Anthrax Terrorists in that camp in Mexico stopped by the authorities in July 2003. It would have been all too easy for them to attacked the Rose Parade or the Super Bowl. Without proper border protection we simply can not defend ourselves from very dangerous infiltrators. ‘The Borderline Flyer’ would allow us to inexpensively monitor, identify and then stop terrorism before it strikes. It doubles as a multilane Hydrogen Super Highway between Miami and San Diego in the south, and between Maine and Washington in the north, boosting the economy of every state it passes through. Homeland Security can move manpower and equipment rapidly to points of any potential problem."

Dr. Shulman indicated: “Teams of specially trained non-lethal responders would be able to protect émigrés who tried to enter illegally, while stopping Terror Cells from entering altogether.”

He went on to say: ”Doubtlessly our border security is a very difficult subject, because it covers every kind of non-lawful form of entry. Yet, this country was founded on the notion of ‘give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.’ Any solution implemented needs to reflect America’s greatness. This is a country and a continent which was founded by immigrants. We never refuse a job to any people on the basis of race, creed or color, or national origin. We need to be more understanding about the effects of poverty on those who try to cross our borders. Many of them are quite desperate to find work. It is not the American way to turn them away, even if we must turn them back for coming here illegally. There has to be a compromise that reflects both abiding the law and facilitating the spirit of Lady Liberty. We should respect the right of every American to find work."

"The Association feels that by using autonomous sensors, robotics and surveillance systems to get a clear view of exactly who is crossing the borders, by providing ITC's high speed solution to get the manpower where it is really needed, we can do the job right and not cause any harm to come to those who seek employment here to help their family survive. It's a tough call. Many border state employers want inexpensive labor. Every American wants to have and protect their job. I think everyone wants secure borders. Those in dire straights in other countries would like to come here to save their families. The spirit of America resides in the inscriptions found on the Statue of Liberty. Call 'the Borderline Flyer' a working compromise that should help us catch terrorist infiltrators. If we do it right, we won’t be trampling anyone’s human rights in doing so.”

ACSA representatives indicated that response to the proposed Interstate Traveler Company projects to date had been “overwhelming, extraordinary interest from every direction: every state, the press, the public, and every Federal Agency communicated with. It's a win-win solution for clean energy, low cost, high speed transportation and a safe, secure America.”

The Dream Team - UBiee Power Pill Fe-3 and Kitt

Kitt is back – alive, well, and on a mission! Both Kitt from the Knight Rider, and UBiee Power Pill Fe-3 from the UBIEE Team, have joined forces!

(PRWEB) June 18, 2021 -- Attending the 2005 Fall Feria "El Pilar" Exposition in Zaragoza, this dynamic duo – a community of skillfully talented international marketing professionals on the UBIEE Team, and an exceptionally talented Kitt -- have united to promote the UBiee Power Pill Fe-3 and personally welcome friends around the globe.

Unified in battling the injustice of skyrocketing fuel prices, Kitt communicates our innocent, helpless, and powerless dependence on fuel for transportation, while the UBiee Power Pill Fe-3, the ultimate pollution solution, defends consumers by providing a fuel economizer for both gasoline and diesel powered engines.

According to the New Hampshire Business Review on May 12, 2022 section entitled, “Rising Diesel Costs Leave Truckers Road-Weary”,

“Diesel fuel prices have risen more than 60 cents over 37 percent – in the last year, with New Hampshire’s trucking and freight companies feeling the pinch. And consumers will soon.”

Scott Beltramini, Vice President of Manchester Motor Freight states,
“We’re paying $125 to $150 more per tankful over last year….It used to cost about $300 per fill-up for a truck, now it’s closer to $450. That’s huge.”

Comparative tests conducted and certified by The Engineering Society for Advanced Mobility Land, Sear, Air and Space; S.A.E. International (900154) and Technical Vehicle Information Board, Germany (T.U.V.), documented that usage of the UBiee Power Pill Fe-3:

- Increased fuel economy
- Reduced emissions
- Reduced carbon deposits
- Decreased octane requirements
- Improved engine performance
- Reduced valve seat recession

The test results translate into substantial savings for all gasoline and diesel fuel consumers.

An environmentally friendly pollution exterminator, the UBiee PowerPill Fe-3 combats the “big six” major pollutant gases hosting significant health impacts: carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, sulfur oxide, and hydrocarbons (benzene, terpene,etc.).

Independent tests also reported that the UBiee PowerPill Fe-3:

- Reduced harmful carbon monoxide exhaust emissions by 78%
- Reduced smoke pollutants by 73%
- Reduced hydrocarbon emissions by 23%

The UBiee PowerPill Fe-3 is made of non-toxic, all natural formulation, with 100% active ingredients, as its improved fuel combustion empowers engines to burn cleanly with absolutely no residue left.

To fuel consumers, the tests confirm relief from the environmental burden of inadvertently contributing to global pollution.

The Dream Team is:

Economically Considerate -- Kitt is based on a fairly inexpensive modified 3rd generation Pontiac Firebird automobile. UBiee Power Pill Fe-3 is based on an inexpensive solution to rising fuel prices.

Allied and Protective – The UBiee Power Pill Fe-3 is dedicated to protecting the environment and creating a safe haven for attaining healthy wealth, and Kitt is programmed to protect human life at all costs.

Like-minded and Interactive -- Kitt, endowed with artificial intelligence, capable of accepting voice commands, interacting with its operator, and making its own decisions. Likewise, the UBIEE Team provides Internet state-of-the-art intelligent support via accessing their 24/7 friendly live online conference room.

Extraordinary -- The UBIEE Team has formed a unique bond and partnership with Dr. Michael. Kitt has formed a unique bond and partnership with Michael.

Altruistic in their endeavors and unselfish concern for the welfare of others, the Dream Team not only talks the talk, but walks the walk.

Benevolent by nature, the UBIEE Team offers flight to the human spirit beyond self inflicted limitations, while Kitt continues to champion the cause of the innocent, helpless, and powerless. Come meet the Dream Team in person this fall in Zaragoza!

Research and Markets: Get this Definitive Study of the International Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) Market

Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c19260) has announced the addition of The Market for Renewable Energy Certificates 4th Edition to their offering

(PRWEB) June 17, 2021 -- Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c19260) has announced the addition of The Market for Renewable Energy Certificates 4th Edition to their offering

Now more than ever, the public is making its preference for environmentally sensitive products clear. It's a revolution known as green consumerism. Symbolic behaviors of green consumerism include recycling, preferential buying of organic products, and implementation of energy efficiency measures among others. This customer behavior has prompted the advent of specialty companies and now it's starting to make an impact on electricity generation.

Green power technologies, such as wind or solar power, have been around for years, yet many utilities don't include them as part of their power mix. As a matter of fact, many actually see customer demand for green power as a nuisance. It means they have to build a green power generating facility, develop a green pricing program, market the benefits of this power, and develop customer service infrastructure to handle the new product. Not to mention that green power is more expensive to generate than fossil fueled power.

The 4th Edition of The Market for Renewable Energy Certificates Report is a definitive 115-page study of the international Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) market. The report takes a comprehensive look at what RECs are, how they work, the role they can play in spurring renewable energy development, the different models for implementing RECs, government programs in support of RECs, current offerings of REC suppliers, and customer purchases of RECs.

Buildings, Electricity and Global Warming: While Senate Debates Energy Bill, Pew Center Releases Reports on Reducing Energy Consumption in Building, Electricity Sectors

Pew Center on Global Climate Change releases two new reports on how to address greenhouse gas emissions from the buildings and electrical power sectors in the U.S.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 16, 2021 -- Effective long-term policy in the U.S. on global warming must address greenhouse gas emissions from the buildings and electricity sectors. These sectors together account for the largest portion of our economy’s physical wealth and enable almost every activity of our daily life, but also account for approximately half of our nation’s CO2 emissions.

Two new reports released today by the Pew Center on Global Climate Change identify a number of technologies and policy options for GHG reductions in both sectors. The first report is Towards a Climate-Friendly Built Environment, written by Marilyn Brown, Frank Southworth and Therese Stovall of Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The other is U.S. Electric Power Sector and Climate Change Mitigation, written by Granger Morgan, Jay Apt, and Lester Lave of Carnegie Mellon University.

Long capital stock turnover, regulatory uncertainty and diverse and often competing interests all contribute to the difficulty of reducing GHGs from these two sectors. These reports find that a portfolio of affordable technology and policy options exist to completely transform the high-emitting buildings and electricity sectors to low-GHG emitting sectors over the next 50 years. However, the long lead time required to develop new technologies, deploy available technologies, and turn over capital stock, means that policies need to be launched now to create the impetus for change. Efforts must be sustained over time to achieve the deep reductions required.

"The importance of these two sectors to both the U.S. economy and to the issue of climate change cannot be over-stated,” said Eileen Claussen, President of the Pew Center on Global Climate Change, “This research shows that we can achieve enormous reductions in the building and electric sectors, but only if we craft a clear and comprehensive policy to guide them."

Some insights that emerge from the reports are:
- Policies are needed to enable meaningful GHG reductions from these sectors. The diverse and fragmented nature of the buildings sector, and the current state of regulatory uncertainty in the electricity sector prevent many available GHG reduction options from being adopted in the market in the absence of policies.

- Significant increases in R&D; and deployment policies are essential if we hope to significantly reduce GHGs from these sectors. A significantly expanded R&D; program is needed in the U.S. to develop new technologies, and deployment policies are needed to push and pull available fuels and technologies into the market in the near and long term.

- An elimination of most GHGs from these sectors is possible over the next 50 years. If managed properly, the electricity sector could undergo a complete capital stock turnover to low or non-GHG emitting generation sources over the next 50 years; while buildings in the U.S. could become net low-GHG energy exporters in the same time frame – but government policies are essential to provide clear policy direction in order to drive the massive public and private investments and choices necessary to enable such a future.

Solutions Series
This report is part of the Solutions series, which is aimed at providing individuals and organizations with tools to evaluate and reduce their contributions to climate change. In 2003, the Solutions series released the first of its sectoral reports, Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions from U.S. Transportation, written by David L. Greene of Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Andreas Schafer of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Other Pew Center series focus on domestic and international policy issues, environmental impacts, and the economics of climate change.

A complete copy of this report—and previous Pew Center reports—is available on the Pew Center's web site, http://www.pewclimate.org/global-warming-in-depth/all_reports/.

Research and Markets: The UK Gas Market: From Famine To Feast

Dublin, (PRWEB) June 16, 2021 -- Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c19172) has announced the addition of The UK Gas Market: From Famine to Feast to their offering

This report examines the UK gas market over the next 10-15 years. It is a forward assessment of market conditions, pressures and the possible ramifications for prices. The purpose of the report is to provide purchasers with a consistent and internally coherent view of market parameters and how their interaction could influence market fundamentals during the forecast period. Against this backdrop an assessment is made of UK gas prices and trend profile developed.

The analysis is based on an original forecasting exercise undertaken. Using public domain and company information and data a detailed view of how UK gas import capacity was developed. Import capacity was then compared to forecast UK import requirements developed from the forecast of UK supply/demand. New import projects were analysed to establish title to the new gas supplies in order to assess the strategic motives underpinning the development of these projects. An assessment of the cost structure of new gas import flows was undertaken, together with an examination of the cost and price parameters surrounding the export of UK LNG to the US market. Two scenarios were developed to examine how a UK market balance might be achieved in the future. Against a set of detailed pricing parameters a trend profile for UK prices was developed.

In addition to this main analysis there is a detailed discussion of the prospects for UK gas demand going forward. This pays special attention to the outlook for gas demand in power generation given the government's policy of reducing emissions of CO2. The analysis looks in detail at the development of renewable energy, CHP and the impact of carbon trading.

A final section examines the development of gas storage in the UK, assessing the marginal flexibility in the system once new projects are completed and examining how the price of storage may develop in the future.

Saving the Planet? Savastat-USA Is Doing Its Part

One American company is on a mission to lessen the strain on US businesses from soaring energy costs. These costs are wreaking havoc with the budgets of non-profits and eating profits nationwide. Savastat-USA, led by CEO Mary Ann Shatto, is canvassing the country with technology new to the US market but applied successfully in many parts of the world for over a decade.

(PRWEB) June 15, 2021 -- One American company is on a mission to lessen the strain on US businesses from soaring energy costs. These costs are wreaking havoc with the budgets of non-profits and eating profits nationwide. Savastat-USA, led by CEO Mary Ann Shatto, is canvassing the country with technology new to the US market but applied successfully in many parts of the world for over a decade.

Savastat-USA is the US distributor for a line of products that reduces the consumption of natural gas, propane, and fuel oil used for heating by a minimum of 15% annually; saves over 20% on the costs of hot water heating, and those two product lines are just the tip of the iceberg. Savastat-USA also provides proven solutions for a water treatment industry that has been reeling from legislation in many communities and states that are banning water softeners and conditioners because of the negative impact on the environment.

When asked why her organization was so optimistic about its role in the market place, the CEO’s answer was simple, “Timing. Many sectors of the US market are suffering and searching for solutions that will not only save them money, which has a direct impact on their bottom line, but also offer environmental benefits like reducing co2 emissions as well.” She continued saying, ”When you can help an organization like the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice reduce its heating energy usage by 17.5% and also provide the added benefit of reducing co2 emissions, it gives everyone involved the feeling that they just helped save the planet.”

The commitment within the Savastat-USA organization is commendable and noticeable. From the corporate boardroom to regional management to the dealer network, this company is focused and motivated. “The goal is green,” Shatto states, “green meaning we know that the benefits of our technologies result in cleaner air and water, reduced dependency on foreign energy sources, and increasing the amount of money our clients can retain in their budgets. We work closely with branches of the US Department of Energy like Smart Energy Schools and Rebuild America because of our like-minded goals and direction. When a school district like Windsor Local Schools in Vermont is able to put over 15% of its heating budget back into its general fund as a direct result of lowering energy consumption with a return on investment well under 12 months and reallocate the money to books or learning programs – there is a deep sense of satisfaction in that.”

Savastat-USA currently offers three product lines: the Savastat LC Series for closed-loop hot water boiler systems; the Savastat HW Series for direct fired hot water heaters; and the Savastat SC Series for water treatment. The LC Series saves an average of 15% to 23% on boiler energy consumption. The HW Series for direct fire hot water heaters typically saves 20% of energy consumption on electric or gas hot water systems. The SC Series for the physical water treatment markets removes scale and prevents corrosion in steam boilers, humidifiers, chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers and hot water systems. Recent research proves that it also kills bacteria. Over 300,000 units have been installed worldwide with a 100% success rate.

And the Savastat SC-P for the hot tub and commercial swimming pool market reduces chemical use by 70% and backwashing by 75% while removing bacteria and providing crystal clear water. These award-winning products have been used successfully overseas for years. They are distributed throughout the United States by the Savastat-USA Dealer Network and also by the Savastat-USA Sales Team.

When asked about skeptics and competition, Savastat-USA’s CEO replied that there truly isn’t any direct competition for these technologies. For example, the Savastat LC Series works with building management systems and other energy savings measures that may already be in place. Ms. Shatto explains, “Many of our clients are already using weather optimizers or advanced controls from companies like Siemens, JCI, or Honeywell and think that our product can’t help them, but when we show them the additional benefits of adding our product to compliment their current conservation strategy, then adding our products becomes an obvious means of increasing the bottom line.”

“When you look at the long list of notable businesses that use the Savastat technologies like Mercedes Benz, NASA, IBM, Nestles, or Lockheed Martin Space Operations, it is hard for skeptics to argue with success.” The Savastat-USA Chief Executive Officer smiled and said, “Now you know why we wake up every day feeling that we can help save the planet.”

"New Release- Sci-Fi Book, 'Unlimited Energy', Written for Women as Well as Men - in Time to Stimulate, G 8, Live 8, Discussions; Plus will Give a New Dimension to Renewable Energy Ideas"

'Unlimited Energy' is a multi-level predictive fiction set in 2022, that sets out to solve the looming energy and pollution crisis of the time. It uses cutting edge science to bring about realizable solutions. Mind Control, at a new level for those worried about Conspiracy theory and machines. Released in time for, live 8, G8, this will give impact to the discussions.

(PRWEB) June 11, 2021 -- In reading, ‘Unlimited Energy’ I first thought the book which was released today, June 1, was going to be just a frolic in the near future. It has turned out to be much more and has a depth, which, in view of the fact that it was written four years ago, will stagger many scientists and energy corporations. This is a positive example of. ‘How to Change the World’

'Unlimited Energy’ explains many things in a simple manner and extraordinarily coincides with today’s revelation from the ‘Millennium Project’. eg. One page of the book describes the start of the universe in terms of dark matter, and super fluid vortices and gravitational containment effects in a way that is understandable.
Going even further is the effect of light on the Galaxy and the involvement of light and its shearing effect on the cosmos. The effects of capturing huge amounts of light in super fiber optics is said to produce inertia coils.

The main theme of 'Unlimited Energy' is to promote the use of non polluting renewable energy Two theories are played out throughout the book. First is the use of a two mile high tower. Second is the logic for, and production of a source of renewable energy, from countries with abundant sunlight. It can be safely carried in your pocket. The Author claims to have done the initial development work. This has only recently become practical because of the production of new photo-voltaic plastics.

The hero is teamed up with a multi-peta byte animate, beautiful of course, to solve problems caused by pollution and a serious lack of oil in 2022. There is also an in depth discussion throughout the book of the growth of artificially induced intelligence and it’s combination with human intelligence to produce something that will save mankind from the machines of the future. An insight into how consciousness develops is thought provoking.

Technical issues are easily understood and add credibility to the plot. ‘Unlimited Energy’ is written in a style that we associate with ‘Star Trek’ or ‘Farscape’. The reader will appreciate that this is a language that is universally understood and that the book is intended for all countries.

‘Unlimited Energy’ is a book that is written as much for women as for men, and sex scenes are tastefully described in a poetic way. This is an amazing romp, with a very serious message, through several countries including Australia, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and USA.

Finally, for those who like the occasional moist eye or Socratic humor, this will be even more enjoyable.

Research and Markets: Centrica and RWE npower Lead the Way in Longer Contracts in the UK B2B Energy Market

Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c18896) has announced the addition of Extended Expert View: Contract tenure in the UK B2B energy market to their offering.

Dublin (PRWEB) June 13, 2021 -- Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c18896) has announced the addition of Extended Expert View: Contract tenure in the UK B2B energy market to their offering.

With competition for business energy customers increasingly fierce, UK suppliers are keen to tie their clients into longer contracts. Some of them, such as Centrica and RWE npower, have been reasonably successful in that. Overall, however, suppliers are not having much luck with extending contract tenure, with the average electricity contract getting three months shorter between 2004 and 2005.

This brief focuses on the B2B (non-residential) segment of the UK electricity and gas supply markets. Featured in the brief are RWE npower, Centrica, British Energy, SSE, Scottish Power, GDF, E.ON Energy, EDF Energy, Total and Shell Gas Direct.

Despite UK suppliers’ efforts in offering longer-term contracts to their business clients, over the last 12 months the average contract tenure has declined by 3 months in electricity and remained static in gas. One possible reason for that is that users are plumping for a shorter contract in expectation of better terms the next time. Centrica and RWE npower lead the way in longer contracts. By contrast, GDF, Centrica, E.ON Energy and Shell Gas Direct are below the industry average.

The analysis in the brief is based on the newest research from the 2005 UK B2B Energy Buyer survey. The brief also identifies and explains the main changes in customer attitudes vis-à-vis contract tenure over the last 12 months.

Topics covered in the report include:
2004-05: shorter electricity contracts, gas contracts unchanged
Two-thirds of customers are currently on contracts lasting 12 months or less
Centrica and RWE npower lead the way in longer contracts

Willard Payne of Night Watch Information Service/International Affairs is the Operator of the CrossfireWar International news/analysis Site

CrossfireWar is an indepth, thorough analysis at the developing crisis, primarily on the Eurasian continent. Conflicts that are about to explode into all out fighting. North, West and East Africa are also covered. The economic impact is emphasized. The Jihad, with Iran at the center and with the complete blessing of the House of Saud, is economic.

(PRWEB) June 13, 2021 -- CrossfireWar, World War III 1994-2007, acknowledges the stragegic importance of the announcement by Russian units in Tajikistan, February 1994 that they were on a frontline fighting Islamic fundamentalists. Spring that year NATO began its bombing campaign in Bosnia. In December Chechnya explodes and fighting was increasing in Kashmir.

CrossfireWar also recognizes the importance of the decision by the US/UK in 1991 to halt the coalition forces outside Baghdad and let Saddam Hussein remain for 12 years while Bechtel Group, through its London branch office, in Hyde Park, constucts military bases for Iran. The bases are similar to the ones they built for Saudi Arabia during the 1980's. Bechtel, headquarted in San Francisco, goes through London to avoid the U.S. economic embargo against Iran. The Hyde Park office was shown on CNN the day after the Gulf War ended. When the bases are completed Saddam Hussein is then removed.

(PRWEB) June 12, 2021 -- Vapor Systems Technology Inc. (http://fuelvapors.com) of Spring Valley, California is an R&D; company involved in projects that deal with increasing gas mileage and fuel economy through the use of gas saving fuel systems, also known as fuel vaporizers, or vapor fuel systems.
As a result of over 400 hours of research they compiled for use in their own projects, they’ve produced the most incredible collection of information on 900+ fuel-stingy inventions specifically built for increasing gas mileage. There has never been anything like it made available to the public before. As company CEO Barbara Allais states: “We are so sure you’ll be satisfied that the CD even comes with a 10-day money-back guarantee if you’re not completely happy with it”!

It’s fairly common knowledge that gasoline introduced into an engine in liquid form by carburetor or fuel injector needs to be changed into a vapor before it will burn. Liquid fuel simply won’t ignite. The heat of the engine partially helps vaporize fuel, but most of the liquid gasoline introduced goes out the exhaust as unburned fuel. That's why it’s currently necessary to have catalytic converters, and other types of emission control devices. There is, however, a much better, more efficient way.

Back in 1932, Charles Nelson Pogue built a vapor system that was tested by Ford Motor Company and Winnepeg Motor Company of Canada. Instead of using conventional methods of dispensing liquid gasoline into the engine, he created a superheating device that boiled the fuel into a dry vapor. It was documented that his system got over 205 miles per gallon, and it sent shock waves through the Stock Market as oil shares plunged at the announcement of the results! For whatever reason, his device never made it to market, and he suddenly became a very prosperous manager of an oil filter company. But regardless of that, the cat had been let out of the bag...

In the 1970's, a young man named Tom Ogle of El Paso, Texas turned the automotive world on it's ear with an astounding claim of over 100 miles per gallon with his vaporizer-equipped V8 Ford (see the actual US patent by following the website link below).

His story was well-documented in the El Paso Times newspaper, and the half-dozen articles can be obtained through the El Paso Library research division (justs ask for information about the Oglemobile as it came to be known). Mr. Ogle took the local press on test drives multiple times, thereby proving his claims. One of the stories reports that a Shell Oil Company representative asked him what he would do if someone offered him a very large sum of money (reportedly $25 Million). He said he’d not be interested, he was going to bring it to market. Unfortunately, shortly afterward Mr. Ogle met with an untimely demise before he could realize his dream.

The author of this CD, Vapor Systems Technology president David Steckling, is an ASE-Certified Automobile and Heavy Truck Master Technician, was a California state smog inspector for nearly 20 years, and is now a technical editor at the leading automobile repair information company in the world. He brings over 25 years of experience in the industry. On top of that, he is a college graduate in Computer Science. While preparing to build their own fuel vaporizing projects, his company chose to see what had already been done. With all those qualifications, Vapor Systems Technology has produced a top quality product that bears the results of over 400 hours of research.

There are a number of ways to vaporize fuel. Following are some of them: exhaust, electric or coolant-heated, catalytic, ultra-sonic, exhaust-blended, steam-blended, hydrogen converter, etc. VST chose the best, most effective systems, and put over 900 of them on the disc! It even has a search engine installed directly on the CD, so that any desired info can quickly be found without guesswork. Over 650 of these systems have expired patents, and can be built, or even sold, by anyone. Every conceivable tip, research result, building recommendation and helpful hint from the inventors is right at your fingertips.

Rumors of these types of systems have been around for years, but now, thanks to the internet, the truth can come out and be available to everyone. Virtually every fuel vapor system that ever enjoyed success is on this CD, and if you would like to stop paying at the pump, and build yourself a vaporizer, this product is a must.

Eden Energy Rated 'Speculative / 3' by Investrend Research Analyst David Tildesley, CFA, Noting 'Strong Balance Sheet'

Eden Energy Corp. (OTCBB: EDNE) has been rated "Speculative / 3" by Investrend Research Analyst David G. Tildesley, CFA, in an initiating Benchmark report, who notes the company's "strong balance sheet" and "record of raising exploration capital" when required.

NEW YORK (PRWEB) June 11, 2021 -- (Investrend Research Syndicate) Eden Energy Corp. (OTCBB: EDNE) has been rated "Speculative / 3" by Investrend Research Analyst David G. Tildesley, CFA, in an initiating Benchmark report, who notes the company's "strong balance sheet" and "record of raising exploration capital" when required.

The analyst stated:
Eden Energy Corp. is an early stage oil & gas exploration company with properties in the state of Nevada.

The future value of Eden Energy will be determined by the magnitude of its ultimate exploration success over the next few years in this potentially rich area.

Since its new management team assumed control of operations in May 2004, Eden has accumulated more than 211,000 acres of property under a 9-year lease. This acreage encompasses the Noah Oil Prospect, which is a 53-mile long, 7 mile wide linear anticline. It is considered to be a superb hydrocarbon reservoir in a largely overlooked area. Eden is beginning a $7.2 million drilling program on this property. The company believes there may be at least 6 billion barrels of recoverable oil on its land.

The outcome of the drilling program is as yet unknown. But the company has a strong and experienced top management team in place that has a previous record of creating shareholder value. In addition, the CEO owns the equivalent of approximately 44% of the common equity.

While the shares are speculative, Eden does have a strong balance sheet as well as a record of raising exploration capital when it is required. The shares have risen by 35% so far this year and have substantially outperformed the Nasdaq which has declined by about 3% during this period.

Greener 'Plug-in' Hybrid Launched in Europe

UK company Amberjac Projects Ltd in association with EnergyCS and Edrive Systems of California, launch the 'plug in' hybrid conversion for the Toyota Prius in Europe. Fuel consumption of 130mpg and an electric only mode up to 35 miles

(PRWEB) June 9, 2021 -- Amberjac Projects Limited are proud to announce, in conjunction with our USA partners EnergyCS and Edrive Systems LLC, the launch of the ‘Plug In’ Hybrid concept in Europe. Incorporates Valence Technology’s Saphion®® Lithium-ion battery allowing more zero-emission driving and improved consumption.

Amberjac Projects is in the process of acquiring exclusive European rights from Edrive Systems and EnergyCS to offer integrated conversions and licensing of the Edrive Systems ‘Plug-in’ concept to integrators and OEM manufacturers.

“This is a breakthrough in the industry. The PHEV allows renewable energy to displace gasoline, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels,” said Stephan Godevais, president and CEO of Valence Technology.” We are pleased that Amberjac Projects have followed EnergyCS and Edrive Systems by adopting a Saphion solution for the European Prius PHEV conversion kit.”

‘Plug-in’ hybrids have a higher capacity battery system and the capability to recharge from national grid electricity supplies, adding renewable energy to the transportation fuel mix. Recharging will normally take place overnight utilising cheap rate electricity and taking advantage of spare off peak generation capacity, taking advantage of unused capacity at that time.

The ‘Plug-in’ Hybrid concept is a revolutionary development offering significant improvements in fuel efficiency and zero emission electric vehicle range, and represents a major advancement in Hybrid vehicle technology.

The first vehicle to be converted will be a Toyota Prius and will be available for demonstrations or press events at the end of July 2005, with a vehicle conversion commercially available in early 2006. Early adopters are being sought for initial development vehicles, at higher initial cost, to assist us with our data generation programme or for extended fleet trials.

Recently the Edrive Systems Plug-in Prius achieved 102mpg (US Gallon) over the first 60 miles and a net 84mpg over a 150 mile course in the Tour de Sol in New York, first place in Hybrid category and first place in technical innovation.

Plug in upgrades will be offered for other hybrid vehicles as they become available from OEM manufacturers, such as the new Lexus RX400h hybrid, GS450h hybrid and the European version of the Ford Escape hybrid. OEM manufacturers are invited to discuss the possibilities of integrating the plug-in concept in new vehicle development programmes with the 4x4 (SUV) and large/medium vehicle markets of particular focus.

The key elements of the Prius ‘Plug-in’ conversion are as follows:
1) 9kWh Saphion™ battery system replaces the standard 1.3kWh NiMH pack
2) BMU (Battery Management Unit) system that interfaces seamlessly with the Toyota Hybrid System (THS)
3) Up to 35 miles EV range at urban speeds below 33mph
4) 130 in combined cycle driving (130 miles per imperial gallon, 1 Imperial gallon = 4.4 litres; 1 US gallon = 3.8 Litres)
5) Returns to normal Prius hybrid mode when battery pack depleted
6) Compact Onboard charging system, charge anywhere
7) Charged by domestic electrical power. Charge overnight using cheap rate off peak electricity and grid renewables.
8) Can be conveniently charged by roadside charging systems
9) Will be the first commercially available plug-in hybrid, pre-orders being taken

Oil Storm: Reality or Fiction?

Does the TV Movie hit closer to the truth than most would like to admit?

Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) June 9, 2021 -- The FX Network aired the TV movie “Oil Storm” this past Sunday night. “America’s lifeline has been severed” sets up the over all theme of this fictional movie that was shot in a documentary style.

It begins with a tropical storm that rips through the gulf coast and destroys not only homes and businesses of New Orleans, but also the drilling rigs just off of the coast, the refineries and the pipelines that oil tankers dock with to pump millions of barrels of oil. This destruction causes oil prices to immediately jump to $70 a barrel, then other problems occur, and eventually oil reaches $130 a barrel. This wreaks havoc on the stock market. Long lines of panic stricken people vie for gasoline as the trucking industry begins to shut down with gas prices rising above $7 per gallon. Store shelves empty as costs of transporting products and food are too high. Winter sets in and heating homes is far too expensive for many. Elderly and homeless deaths rise. Farmers loose subsidies to the cost of the military while nationwide frustration turns to riots and chaos.

Could events like these actually happen, or is this just another Hollywood production? The Energy Advocates, a grass roots organization that has been educating the public about the energy industry since 1974, believe that the movie definitely is comprised of some reality. “We are now over 60% dependent upon foreign sources of our energy. “This is a crisis, but many either are not aware, or not acknowledging it.” Energy Advocates President, Mark Stansberry states.

Stansberry has traveled across the United States, speaking about some of the very possibilities that the movie scenario constructs. He and other members of the Energy Advocates take on this and many other topics and questions through forums and luncheon events. “Oil is more than the gasoline at the pump. It is needed to produce more than 3000 products that Americans use every day!” states Stansberry. “Oil, though very prevalent, is not our only concern. We have an electrical grid that is outdated, shown to us by the rolling blackouts of 2003. We have abundant natural gas that not only heats homes, but produces everything from electricity to fertilizer for the very foods our farmers produce. The natural gas industry needs our support and should play a key role. The solution to this is not just enough oil or other resources, but is having a comprehensive energy strategy!”

Developing alternative sources of energy is needed, but not a magic bullet. The cost of producing the alternative sources can be very expensive bottom-line to the common consumer. Opening more drilling within our own borders could help, but America cannot produce enough to make us self sufficient.

Other factors to consider: reliance upon unstable nations as Venezuela and Saudi Arabia is not a viable solution.--China is America’s biggest competitor in the economic picture when it comes to demand for these natural resources. China has both the demand as well as the finances.

What is the solution? Unfortunately there is no clear cut, easy solution. We have to look to the long term as well as our immediate needs. This can only come in the form of a concise energy strategy. There is no greater time than now. This has got to be addressed. But there are those in government, media and consumers who continue to dismiss this as not prevalent until it becomes newsworthy. Will it take a tragedy like “Oil Storm” presents for us to develop a strategy? Will it take another, larger blackout throughout the nation for this to be a topic of concern? “Sometimes we as Americans are complacent until our standard of living is disrupted. Then it is headline news and finger pointing begins.” says Stansberry. “Preemptive action is what is required. Problems like this do not just go away, or can be pushed off to the next generation any longer. It is time to stand up and take positive action. Energy education is greatly needed”

“Our responsibility at The Energy Advocates is to provide energy education”, Stansberry states. Education is a great part of the needed solution. The understanding of energy and the industry that creates it can help America make the right decisions and action steps to gaining a true solution. The Energy Advocates are pushing to help with educating America on this very topic.

For more information on the Energy Advocates and how you can become informed and involved, please go to www.energyadvocates.org. You may also email the organization at e-mail protected from spam bots or you can call the Tulsa Headquarters at (918) 599-7767.

The Energy Advocates is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) Oklahoma corporation with a primary focus of raising public awareness and changing the public's perception on the importance of America’s energy industry and how it directly effects the nations way of life. The Advocates are fast becoming a viable and authoritative voice on energy related topics.

Environmental Concerns Prompt Ink Manufacturer to Install DCF Filter

Progressive Ink manufactures printing inks for flexible packaging, such as snack packaging, milk cartons and bread bags. In the St. Louis, Missouri manufacturing facility, pressurized bag filters used in the fill area were generating a lot of waste. During a batch run, up to twenty filter bags were replaced and thrown away. Progressive Ink was concerned about the large amounts of waste generated and its effect on the environment. There were other problems too. Occasionally, a bag would rupture and contaminate the ink being processed for shipping. Progressive Ink also experienced variations in the filtering performance of the bags.

(PRWEB) June 9, 2021 -- Situation:

Our Solution:
With few solutions available on the market, Progressive Ink had trouble finding a filter that could filter tight enough to meet the industry requirements of at least 75 micron retention. Their extensive search ended with the Ronningen-Petter Mechanically-Cleaned DCF filter — which offered filtration capabilities well beyond the industry standard. The company installed a DCF-800 filter that filters to 50 micron. It is equipped with pneumatic timers, Teflon®‚ seals, a pneumatic actuator used to move the disc and clean the screen and a purge valve actuator that, when activated, rids the housing of collected debris. Operation of the DCF is easy, and it features a stainless steel pressure-rated housing. The DCF’s filtering screen is specially machined so material will not get wedged into the media surface.

Results:
The DCF filter’s specially machined filtering screen offers concise and consistent particle retention, so Progressive Ink no longer suffers from variations in filtering performance. And, Progressive Ink is able to reprocess its collected waste. Waste collected by the Ronningen-Petter DCF filter is highly concentrated, so that overall purge volume is extremely small. The small amounts of waste collected in the DCF purge chamber are transferred back to the premix tank. Reprocessing rather than disposing of collected waste saves disposal costs and reduces product loss. Progressive Ink is also very pleased with the consistently low differential pressure the DCF filter maintains, and the even throughput levels it provides to the fill line.

HR.BLR.com Survey Finds Two New Areas of Military Leave Compliance are Tripping up some HR Managers

Human resource managers don’t completely understand how to comply with military leave under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. A new HR.BLR.com survey finds that two new provisions of the law are not being followed by a small, but significant percentage of employers.

Old Saybrook, Conn. (PRWEB) June 8, 2021 -- The nation’s human resource managers are finding it difficult to comply with military leave under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. HR.BLR.com, “Making State HR Compliance Easier”, reports that a small but significant number of firms are in non-compliance on two new areas of military leave compliance – posting notice, and continuation of health care benefits.

Most firms (92%) in BLR’s online survey conducted in May 2005 reported that they are in compliance with the new posting requirement from the Department of Labor, effective since March 10, 2005. But 57 companies, or 8%, have not provided employee notice of their rights under USERRA, and are, therefore, in violation of its notice requirements.

Employers, which previously were required to offer continuation of health care benefits for up to 18 months, now must offer it to those on military leave and dependents for 24 months. Most (88%) reported that they offer the right to continue in the group health plan for up to 24 months. But 12% are not in compliance with USERRA on this issue.

Susan Prince, senior legal editor at Business & Legal Reports, which operates HR.BLR.com, commented on the results: “It’s clear that our citizen soldiers being on duty in Iraq and Afghanistan is having an effect on HR professionals as they attempt to understand and comply with USERRA.”

“It also”, she continued, “highlights the overall complexity of military leave compliance as it interplays with FMLA and state leave laws.”

More than 750 HR professionals responded, representing businesses of various sizes and industries across the United States.

Seventy-three percent of respondents reported that the issue of military leave has gained more importance to them in the past year.

The survey also reported on the number of employees out on military leave, pay issues, and military leave discrimination claims. BLR offers a free download,“An Employer’s Guide to Military Leave,” which includes both state and federal military leave law at http://www.blr.com/82008400/PRS20.

China's Infant M&A; and MBO Market's begin to Emerge

JTU Capital's "cross-over" positions itself to capture China's bursting commercial and industrial activity

Naples, FL (PRWEB) June 7, 2021 -- Within the dynamics of China's economy, there are a number of unpublicized transactions adding fuel to its economic engine. In its infant stages, mergers and acquisitions (M&A;) and management buyout (MBO) opportunties will be a driving force behind's China fostering world-class companies that build their own brands and challenge foreign incumbents. China's growth is creating a myriad of new entrants in global industries that many investors have long considered to be stable and mature. With the launch of the China Event-Driven Fund, investors can now be positioned to be at the epicenter of this evolving and sustainable trend in such markets as consumer durables, communication equipment, technology, autos and auto parts, medical, consumer staples, energy, financial, capital goods, basic materials, distribution and retailing.

Many market observers have been overlooking some of the biggest long-term gainers because the near-term benefits are limited. JTU Capital's cross-over from an established venture capital firm to a hedge fund presents a unique and limited opportunity for institutional investors and ultra high-net worth individuals to participate in the world's most vibrant and productive economy.

JTU Capital Management Ltd. is a five-year Shanghai-based venture capital firm with an longstanding record of M&A; and MBO transactions in China. For the period, the investment management team achieved a performance record of more than 15% net per annum since 2000. The newly created fund offers a number of competitive advantages related to deal sourcing. Aiding the fund's performance will be an experienced research team and a number of strategic relations with various government agencies.

Throughout the 1980's, a total of 6,966 enterprises were merged with USD $990 million of assets being transferred. Increasing M&A; needs of both the private sector and private sector companies has skyrocketed with activity in 2004 exceeding USD $50 billion. More than 1,600 went through corporate restructuring and are listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges to date. With China's accession into the World Trade Organization, the scope and scale of M&A; activity is going to dramatically increase.

"We represent an unprecedented opportunity for investors by having the historical foundation, experience, market resources and insight to this segment of China's economy", stated Chen Sigen, JTU Capital's Chief Investment Officer. "With China's M&A; activity projected to surpass USD $100 billion in the next few years, our investment team has the depth and supportive governmental relations to give the fund a substantive advantage in the marketplace. To further enhance investor returns, the fund will incorporate additional investment strategies to complement its overall objective," Mr. Sigen concluded.

Looking to profit from market inefficiencies related to M&A; arbitrage, distressed securities, management buy-out, undervalued securities, pre-IPO investment and capital structure arbitrage, the China Event-Driven Fund investment objective is to outperform the 17.61% average return from their 2000-2004 geographical event-driven universe.

With the Chinese government laying the groundwork for entrepreneurial activity to flourish, the fund is squarely position to profit from state initiatives to stimulate its economy by encouraging entrepreneurialism at all levels and sectors within its borders. Chinese companies are making significant capital investments, beginning to employ new technology and management techniques and increasingly focusing on market-based initiatives. The government has also issued regulations granting asset management companies the authority to sell equity interests and other assets to foreign investors.

The fund will have two classes of share's. Class "A" shares will require a minimum investment of $2,000,000 and have a one-year lock-up period. No redemption fees will be applicable. Class "B" shares require a minimum investment of $250,000 and will have a redemption charge of 0% - 5%. While Class "B" shares do not have a mandatory lock-up period, a 2% annual management fee and a 20% performance fee applies to both share classes. All accounts are denominated in U.S dollars.

Silver Star Updates "Archer-Whitney #1" Production

Silver Star Energy, Inc. (OTCBB: SVSE) today announces the April and May 2005 production totals for the "Archer-Whitney #1" well and updates operations at North Franklin.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 4, 2021 -- Silver Star Energy, Inc. (OTCBB: SVSE) today announces the April and May 2005 production totals for the "Archer-Whitney #1" well and updates operations at North Franklin.

Since full production began on March 23rd to the most recent data received by the Company on May 31 the "Archer-Whitney #1" well has produced 98.5 Mmcf gas in 70 days at an average rate of 1.41 Mmcf per day. Total production to-date has generated $591,000 to the partners. Production by month has been 13.5 Mmcf in 9 days of March, 41.2 Mmcf for April and 43.8 Mmcf for May.

The operator of the project had intended to increase the flow rate to 2.5-3.0 Mmcf per day, but has maintained a choked back gas flow since the onset of production only increasing the gas flow in small increments. The latest project update at the well is that, under advice from the operator, the gas flow will remain choked back to between 1.75 Mmcf and 2.0 Mmcf per day until the second well is drilled and completed. As reported earlier, Silver Star anticipates a spud date to be announced shortly in June. With more information provided from the second well, this will provide important geological reservoir data and confidence that detriment will not be done to the reservoir prior to opening up the well to its fullest capacity. North Franklin is a new reservoir discovery and time will be required to evaluate the full potential of the gas field. Silver Star expects that in time, production rates will meet original expectations of 4-5 Mmcf per day.

The well is currently producing between 1.5-1.6 Mmcf per day from the latest numbers received by Silver Star. The operator's advice to the Company is to be prudently cautious in these early production days. We have been advised not to be overzealous in rapidly increasing the flow rates to maintain the integrity of the gas-charged sand to prevent the unlikely possibility of coning the reservoir and potentially drawing in excess condensate. Silver Star intends to announce gas production totals and rates on a monthly basis, or more frequently when warranted.

About Silver Star Energy, Inc.
The Company is committed to the exploration and extensive development of oil and natural gas reserves throughout western North America. Company management is focused on an acquisition program targeting high quality, low risk prospects provided via key strategic alliance partnerships.

Eric Ettinger & Robert Ettinger Partnering to Re-Shape Long Island City

These two mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEP/ FP), consulting design engineers are renowned throughout New York City and the tri-state area as a son and father team that are dedicated to formulating original designs that consider the architects’ and developers’ requirements along with the people who will live and/or work in the building. Robert Ettinger founded Engineering Associates in 1960. It began, forty-five years ago when Robert Ettinger formulated breakthrough engineering designs in modular hot water heating systems that received accolades throughout the engineering community. Today the spirit continues in this son and father team. Developers and architects regard them as highly creative and flexible team of consulting engineers that consistently create effective designs. Their innovative contributions to building design in NYC, the metro and tri-state area are notable.

(PRWEB) June 3, 2021 -- Eric Ettinger and the Ettinger Engineering Associates team is in the process of designing a project at Thomson Avenue & Court Square (45-31 Court Square), which is being developed by The Andalex Group. This residential conversion project is situated in the heart of Long Island City the dynamic neighborhood just minutes from Manhattan that is home to a spectacular arts community. The unique triangular shaped structure will be transformed into luxury condominium residences with outstanding views of Manhattan. Ettinger Engineering Associates is excited to be a part of the progress in Long Island City and honored to perform the (MEP) engineering design for this project. We look forward to being an integral part of the ongoing development in this area. Ettinger Engineering has chosen to use vertical water source heat pumps to provide heating and cooling to all of the apartments. The obvious benefit is the ability for each tenant to control their individual heat and air conditioning temperature in their own apartment. Other benefits include the system’s energy efficiency long-term will accrue cost savings. For the developer, a substantial cost savings will come from Ettinger Engineering Associates ability to adapt the existing steam boilers to feed the closed loop heat pump system.

Thomson and Court Square will also have many special features including a distinctive pool and gym. Advanced technology will be utilized in these areas to keep the tenants and their guests comfortable. Ettinger Engineering chose a “Desert System” unit for the pool area dehumidification requirements. This system dehumidifies the air coming from the pool, maximizing comfort levels for all. This is truly an exceptional building in a part of our metro-area promising to be the next “hot spot” to live.

The architectural firm working on this project is Costas Kondylis & Partners.

Enviro.BLR.com poll of Environmental Professionals Finds American Participation in the Kyoto Global Warming Protocol a Non-issue

It’s ironic, but a majority of environmental professionals said in a recent Enviro.BLR.com survey that the U.S. should have signed the Kyoto global warming treaty after all.

Old Saybrook, CT (PRWEB) June 2, 2021 -- Environmental professionals, whose employers are being “protected’ by the American decision not to ratify the Kyoto treaty decision on global warming, think that the United States should have ratified the Protocol. That was the result in a recent online poll by Enviro.BLR.com, Making State Environmental Compliance Easier, a Business & Legal Reports, Inc. website.

BLR’s poll asked, “Should the U.S. have ratified the Kyoto Protocol?” Fifty-seven percent of respondents felt that the U.S. should have ratified the treaty. President Bush argued that the Protocol’s requirements would be overly burdensome for the economy, that the exclusion of developing countries like China and India would make greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions ineffective, and that it would tilt the economic playing field against U.S. industry.

In the poll conducted in May 2005 the remaining 43 percent of the 134 respondents agreed that the U.S. made the right decision in opting out.

“American participation in the Kyoto agreement could be viewed as a non-issue,” commented Steve Quilliam, managing editor of Enviro.BLR.com – “Greenhouse gas emission reduction is a global movement. Large U.S. companies will have to comply with it in their overseas operations anyway, and to be consistent they will eventually apply the same standards everywhere, including the U.S.”

The Kyoto Protocol Climate Change Treaty went into effect on February 16, 2005, ratified by 55 nations representing 55 percent of all global GHG emissions. U.S. facilities can choose to undertake a voluntary program to address all or part of the Kyoto requirements. The federal Voluntary Reporting of Greenhouse Gases Program (VRGGP) helps to ensure that current emissions reductions won’t be forgotten under any future mandatory actions.

BLR’s environmental editors recommend these tips for a voluntary GHG program:
· Perform a baseline GHG emissions inventory.
· Explore solutions to reduce GHG emissions now.
· Register as certifiably reducing GHG emissions through the California Climate Action Registry or other state or local body.

Research and Markets: Clever Chilling: Packaged Combined Cooling and Power

Dublin, (PRWEB) June 2, 2021 -- Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c18357) has announced the addition of Clever Chilling: Packaged Combined Cooling and Power to their offering

Combined cooling, heating, and power (CCHP)—a technique that uses the exhaust heat from distributed generation (DG) prime movers to run an absorption chiller, a steam turbine chiller, or a desiccant dehumidifier—is a compelling idea with the potential to greatly advance DG markets worldwide. And on the other side of the coin, DG may help several heat-driven cooling technologies advance in the HVAC market as well. For utilities and end users, CCHP systems offer the potential to reduce electricity demand during demand and price peaks.

The idea is not a new one; there are many such systems installed—primarily at large industrial and institutional facilities. Other projects have been set up at smaller commercial sites and have yielded promising results and positive feedback from participants. But these systems, by and large, have been custom-designed and custom-engineered for each particular site—typically at high cost and effort. To gain a significant market in the small commercial, large commercial, and small-to-midsize industrial sectors, DG systems and chillers will need to be integrated into a pre-engineered system in the factory using standard, modular equipment that is designed to work together optimally. A few companies—such as UTC Power and Toyota—have just recently begun selling integrated systems commercially.

Companies like UTC, which have expertise in both DG and chiller technologies, are in a good position to develop and sell these integrated systems. Other manufacturers are stuck in a chicken-and-egg dilemma. North American chiller manufacturers are somewhat reluctant to develop a line of chillers for CCHP applications until they see that the DG market is clearly taking off. And DG manufacturers by themselves can’t make this market advance without chillers designed to work optimally with their products. The answer may lie with global chiller and DG manufacturers, which are really starting to chase CCHP as a viable opportunity.

New developments with packaged combined cooling, heating, and power systems are likely to open up new markets for distributed generation. This report examines these developments, looks at possible applications, and assesses prospects for such systems.

Silver Star Successfully Completes "13-22" Well -- Commercial Production to Begin at 35-50 Barrels Per Day

Silver Star Energy, Inc. (OTCBB: SVSE) today announces that the "13-22" well has been successfully completed and will be put into immediate production. This is now the second well to be brought on for commercial oil production at Joarcam by Silver Star.

LOS ANGELES, CA (PREWB) June 2, 2021 -- Silver Star Energy, Inc. (OTCBB: SVSE) today announces that the "13-22" well has been successfully completed and will be put into immediate production. This is now the second well to be brought on for commercial oil production at Joarcam by Silver Star.

The completion program involved a 3.0 meter perforation of 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) of the Viking (oil) zone. The oil pay zone was thicker than earlier thought. The result was an excellent influx of fluid confirming strong permeability and porosity and that the perforation contacted the oil zone. The operator has estimated from swab testing and offset well data that the "13-22" well oil production rate should be between 35 and 50 barrels per day. The well is now being put into production where actual flow rates will be established. The operator is now constructing site services, and installing pump-jack and tank facilities.

The "13-22" well offsets the producing "4-27" well (33-40 barrels per day since January 2004) and along trend from the "13-27" well (44-50 barrels per day) that has been in production since March 1, 2022 that Silver Star is receiving its pro-rata share of production revenue.

The project is a low-risk development property with oil at shallow depth, short payback period and long life reserves. The play is located in the "Viking C" pool adjacent to the established Joarcam Viking pool, the largest Viking hydrocarbon accumulation in Alberta, Canada. The "13-22" well is the second well to be drilled by Silver Star under the Company's overall development strategy at Joarcam. This plan is to drill up to 10 wells during 2005. With success at Joarcam, it is anticipated that the field could produce 500 barrels of oil per day (bbls/d) if fully developed. Oil wells at Joarcam demonstrate very shallow decline curves. The prospect lands are located about 25 miles southeast of Edmonton, Alberta.

ACSA Announces Support for the "Hydrogen Super Highway", Saying: it Might be Able to Provide Enough Low Cost Energy to Power All of America

American Computer Scientists Association announces it is assisting the Interstate Traveler Project, a project originated by Justin Sutton, to build the "Trailblazer" high speed hydrogen solar rail transportation system it has dubbed the: “Hydrogen Super Highway”. The Project's founders claim they can produce enough clean burning hydrogen with it that, when completed, it might be able to provide 80-90% of all the power needed in America: every home, auto, business and industry in America, at 1/5th the cost of today’s fuels and power or even less.

(PRWEB) June 1, 2021 -- Imagine traveling from NY to Los Angeles by car in 10.5 hours, while the Rail system you are running on is producing enough extra hydrogen to power 70% or more of the Nation’s entire energy demand at no extra charge? Sounds impossible?

Don’t bet against it. If a young group of dedicated pioneers have their way, within a year ground could be broken on a new kind of accelerated highway across America that runs on clean-burning Hydrogen-powered MAGNETIC LEVITATION (MagLev) Rails, transporting automobiles, freight and people at up to 250 MPH. An article about this unusual project appeared in the ACSA Advances Magazine (http://www.acsa2000.net/hshrt) recently.

This new, so-called “Hydrogen Super Highway”, the “Trailblazer”, is one that can almost silently carry cars, passengers and freight between major metropolitan areas --reportedly with absolutely no fuel cost, and an amazing benefit. If all goes well: once completed “Trailblazer” could potentially produce enough excess hydrogen from its built-in solar panel arrays to POWER ALL of AMERICA, say proponents, with near zero environmental consequences.

Unlike today's oil, coal and nuclear fuels, hydrogen from solar cells has no long term toxic emissions, and produces only oxygen and clean water. A new process, 'Amorphous Silicon Thin Films', produces high output solar cells without many of the environmental byproducts of previous solar cell manufacture. And so, America could very well be powered by a new source of sustainable, clean hydrogen before not very long, if the Trailblazer is built!

The “Trailblazer” is designed so that long distance travelers and freight can travel in style, at very low cost. Stations at key locations and emergency centers provide services for the system at no extra cost. Even propelling vehicles at 250 MPH, the new system will still have enough Solar Panel energy available during daylight hours to produce additional Hydrogen for sale to business and the general public in abundance, says the Interstate Traveler Company (http://www.interstatetraveler.us).

The hydrogen fuel provided by the Trailblazer for general use is called “Hydroline™” by the ACSA (the American Computer Scientists Association Inc. – http://acsa.net).

Hydroline™ is a slightly compressed form of Hydrogen obtained when electrons from a Solar Energy panel are fed to ordinary water. It is cooled and stored within the “Conduit” that is part of the Rail system. When needed, it is fed to Fuel Cells for electricity production or to Hydroline™ powered internal combustion engines which burn the fuel cleanly, yielding only water and heat.

The startup company, Interstate Traveler Company, (http://www.interstatetraveler.us) has been “adopted” by the American Computer Science Association as “the wave of the future, now!” According to the ACSA, who has studied the company’s plans in depth, “Trailblazer” advances a truly revolutionary technology solution: one which has broken down the barriers to a ready supply of cheap, hydrogen energy for the future clean energy economy of America.

Dr. Jack A. Shulman, VISTA (the Very Innovative Science and Technology Advances Laboratory at ACSA) Coordinator stated:

“The Secretary of the US Department of Energy recently advised that we buy 98 Quadrillion BTUs of Energy every year in America. He says we will need 120 Quads by 2020. We spend nearly $500 Billion on energy annually. It looks to us at ACSA like Mr. Sutton’s Interstate Traveler solution will change everything. It will make it far easier to get from Washington to Chicago in 3 hours. If it works, its Hydrogen from Solar production system could reduce the entire cost of energy in America by $100 Billion per year by the end of its first construction year, 200 Billion its second year, $300 Billion the third, $400 Billion in the fourth. If the company’s estimates are correct: by the end of the Fifth year the Interstate Traveler’s built-in Solar to Hydrogen converters could be paying for nearly all of America’s Energy Needs.”

”That's great news for America! It could spell an end to dependency on non-sustainable energy sources like oil and coal, and an end to our dependency on foreign fuel, while can be redirected to making lubricants, chemicals and plastics.”

Trailblazer’s high speed MAGLEV transit system does represent a unique scheduling, piloting, energy management and maintenance opportunity for any automation system. But, reportedly, representatives of such major companies as Sun Microsystems and Microsoft appear to agree that it could route its Rail cars, in high volume and at high velocity, about the same way the Internet schedules itself. That would allow the MAGLEV Rail Cars to carry people, autos and freight at 250 MPH and switching off to a future elaborate ramp of commuter branches. When offloading, drivers would have the to ‘gas up’ from the inexpensive hydrogen at the off-ramp they the system at their destination.

“Then, what we call ‘Gas Stations’ today would truly be ‘GAS stations…” stated Dr. Shulman with a twinkle in his eyes. “While the Interstates are 54,000 miles long, ITC could also build along the 90,000 or so miles or Rail Corridors, tripling the Hydrogen output. It will also have enough fiber optic cabling within its to massively expand today’s Internet backbones by an order of magnitude.”

Dr. Shulman commented: “Obviously, this solution solves many problems, and is highly scalable. Yet its key is the HydroSol™ process used to produce Hydroline™ (Hydrogen in a storable, slightly compressed form, or Hydrol™ for short). ACSA was always attracted to Hydrogen from Solar (HydroSol) Energy, because: “once commercially rendered feasible, it is the cleanest, soundest way to obtain energy. One is literally 'mining Sunlight for electrons' and then, converting ordinary water into Hydrogen and Oxygen with it. In this case, the Hydrogen Hydrol™ is not only clean burning, whatever it takes from the environment, it puts nearly all of that back – heat, water, oxygen… and it can do nothing but improve the Earth’s atmosphere, not even a trace of pollution is available from a Hydrogen engine or Fuel Cell…"

The Interstate Traveler’s conceiver, Justin Eric Sutton, has been described by the ACSA as: “an extraordinary scientist and an outstanding and brilliant entrepreneur, who has hit upon an amazing multi-disciplinary solution to problems that face us in America today, namely: energy and how to obtain it cleanly and inexpensively”. Dr. Shulman recently indicated that he felt that Sutton (and his partners) will eventually take his place among the “great pioneers” in American History, such as Howard Hughes, Wiley Post, Robert Moses, Alexander Graham Bell, Henry Ford and others.

The Interstate Traveler’s transit system is said to use new medium size Automobile Carriers and small passenger/freight carrying MAGLEV cars which would travel between cities at breathtaking speed. Interest in the new system has ranged far and wide, including some pretty powerful state government bodies such as the State of Oklahoma and the State of Michigan, reportedly. And it has reportedly interested many in the big three Automobile manufacturers and abroad.

The Trailblazer has been designed with Safety in mind, and Security, with emergency response Rail cars throughout the system able to speed to any repair point at 250 MPH in a few minutes. Fireproofing, weather proofing and delivery systems for Stations to easily obtain and sell Hydroline™ are also fully planned for. Conversion to hydrogen power (Hydroline™) has already been designed for by most major Auto manufacturers.

ACSA is at this time anticipating widespread support for the Traveler among its business affiliations and the membership. For more information, please contact the Association through the press contacts on this article.

SHEC Labs plans Renewable Solar Hydrogen Pilot Plant

SHEC-Labs is pleased to announce that the company has recently been published in the Environmental Science and Engineering Magazine, May 2005 edition. This cover story was peer reviewed by a number of professional engineers and Ph.D. scientists. You can see the article on our web site at: www.shec-labs.com/press/articles/2005_May_ESE.php

(PRWEB) June 1, 2021 -- SHEC-Lab's prototype solar hydrogen generator has now operated for approximately 1,200 hours with no noticeable coking or degradation of the catalysts. Hydrogen production is near the theoretical maximum at approximately 66% in the product gas stream with a 98.2% mol conversion of the feed methane. The estimated maximum hydrogen production with the unit is approximately 3,500 kg per year with minor modifications to the operating pressure and reactor configuration and an increase in the solar mirror area.

The next stage of development is anticipated to be a commercial-scale demonstration at a landfill gas site using 40,000 kg per year hydrogen production modules. This one project (a small-to-medium sized landfill gas project) will prevent more than 1.6 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) from entering the atmosphere over the next twenty years and will significantly improve local air quality and reduce smog. This one plant would consist of 30 modules for a total annual production of 1.2 million kg of hydrogen per year. (550 million cubic feet).

SHEC-Labs is currently in the process of capitalizing to deploy its first commercial scale plant. Once this plant is operational, we will be able to copy it a hundred or a thousand times or more.

The next generation of solar hydrogen involves direct water splitting with only water as the primary feed component. According to SHEC scientists, six of the ten steps needed for this process are already integrated into the current system.

About hydrogen production.
More than 95% of hydrogen produced today is by the Steam Methane Reformation (SMR) of fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas, a process that liberates massive amounts of carbon dioxide and other pollutants to the atmosphere. The SMR process provides a net energy loss of 30 to 35% when converting methane into hydrogen since a great deal of fossil energy or electrical power is required to operate the process. Hydrogen is also produced by electrolysis, a process that uses electricity to convert water into hydrogen and oxygen. Although electrolysis itself can be quite efficient in converting electricity into hydrogen, the electricity used for electrolysis is often primarily generated from fossil fuels. Therefore, traditional hydrogen production methods result in a net increase in air pollution and are highly inefficient from an energy conversion perspective.

Solar hydrogen production provides a net energy gain when converting methane into hydrogen since the energy used to drive the process is from the sun. Since SMR is not typically cost-effective at small to moderate production levels, SHEC's technology is particularly attractive for smaller and distributed hydrogen production. The environmental benefits of generating hydrogen using renewable energy include significant greenhouse gas reductions, and the reduction of smog precursors, acid gases, and mercury as a result of reduced local need for oil, coal, and natural gas.

To add even greater value, the process has the ability to use a renewable source of methane and carbon dioxide, such as biogas from municipal wastewater plants and landfill gas. Renewable methane generated from biomass results in no net increase of carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere when the methane is converted into hydrogen by SHEC's solar hydrogen generator.

Why produce hydrogen?
The current market for hydrogen is approximately 42 billion kg per year and growing, and is used primarily in ammonia fertilizer manufacturing, for hydrogenation in the food and beverage industry, and in petroleum refining to reduce the sulfur content of fossil fuels.

Hydrogen is also an energy carrier and is recognized by many as the fuel of the future. When hydrogen is consumed by a fuel cell, its only significant emissions are water and heat. A clean source of hydrogen will lead to energy self-sufficiency and clean air and clean water.

The U.S. will increase natural gas imports 700% during the next 20 years and will HAVE to import more than 25% of its gasoline by 2025.

SHEC foresees it hydrogen production technologies as a way to fill some of this demand.

Research and Markets: SMB Call Centers Can Increase Operational Efficiencies and Save Utilities Money

Dublin, (PRWEB) June 1, 2021 -- Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c18261) has announced the addition of Small and Midsize Business Call Centers to their offering

Small and midsize business (SMB) call centers are designed to serve customers whose needs are more complex than those of residential customers but who are too numerous to be served effectively by individual account representatives. These call centers fill the role of external energy managers for SMBs that dont have the resources to employ a dedicated energy manager for their facility.

The increased personal service and thorough technical and problem-solving skills that highly trained SMB representatives provide generally mean improved customer satisfaction ratings and other positive feedback for those utilities that maintain an SMB call center—or at least offer dedicated commercial representatives within the residential call center.

Beyond boosting call center transaction satisfaction, SMB call centers can also increase operational efficiencies and save utilities money in several ways: by consolidating and supporting commercial and industrial back-office functions, by allowing utilities to reduce the number of field staff or offices (that traditionally served SMBs as well as large commercial and industrial customers), or by freeing up field staff to spend more time selling products and services to their largest customers. Case studies from eight utilities and one non-utility highlight successful elements of SMB call centers.

In this report, the issues involved in running such call centers are analysed, reviewing nine case studies.

Research and Markets: Utility Industry Using Benchmarking to Improve Customer Care

Dublin, (PRWEB) June 1, 2021 -- Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c18292) has announced the addition of Utilities - Effectively Benchmarking Customer Care to their offering

"Benchmarking" has become an intellectually fashionable business concept, but it is really just a new-fangled word for what, in essence, is an old-fashioned practice: comparison. Utilities can use the strategy to dramatically improve the quality of their customer care, but a working knowledge of benchmarking basics is essential if managers want to avoid wasted effort and maximize performance gains. Careful conceptualization is key: Successful initiatives begin with the end in mind and make prudent use of a variety of benchmarking options, including internal performance tracking and participation in regional and national cooperatives in which other utilities share dozens (sometimes hundreds) of performance metrics.

But effective benchmarking is not just about data—or other utilities. Increasingly, progressive utilities are looking outside the energy industry—often to retail and service companies—for best practices in customer care. Successful benchmarking ultimately depends on the utility’s knowledge and flexibility to go wherever these practices are found; often, an approach where the utility looks at both its own practices and those of other companies yields the most valuable information. Implementation is the final step; without a commitment to applying the insights revealed by benchmarking, the most well-conceived initiative is little more than an intellectual exercise.

This report, which includes a number of case studies, looks at the benefits of benchmarking customer care services, at utility benchmarking practices, and at ways to successfully benchmark your company’s performance against that of others.

Research and Markets: Lower than Average Usability of Utility IVRUs is Major Cause of the Lag in their Adoption by Customers

Dublin, (PRWEB) June 1, 2021 -- Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c18330) has announced the addition of 2004 Review of Utility IVRUs: Benchmarks and Best Practices to their offering

The interactive voice response unit (IVRU) should be the call centers best friend. It should be valued, carefully tended, and frequently evaluated and upgraded. It should be finely tuned to meet customer’s needs so it can fulfill its main mission of handling routine calls and freeing up costly positions for the tougher calls. Instead, the IVRU is treated as old technology—a second-rate, half-forgotten telephonic accessory. Nearly half of energy utilities upgrade their IVRUs less than once a year. And as our research shows, many companies apparently never listen to the whole system all the way through.

This research shows that typical IVRUs in the utility industry may handle 20 or 25 percent of incoming calls without referring customers to a live agent; a few IVRUs handle up to 50 or 60 percent. (This percentage is known as a "take-rate.") Other industries, including retail and financial services, claim from 40 to 70 percent take-rates, according to Ascent Group research. It is believed that the overall lower-than-average usability of utility IVRUs that was found in this study goes a long way toward explaining the lag in their adoption by customers.

The highest rating assigned was a 4, on a 5-point scale. Even these "good" menus were plagued by serious problems, including hang-ups, dead ends, and long silences that made the researchers wonder if they had been disconnected. In addition to providing valuable benchmarking information, this report also offers specific and practical suggestions for making IVRUs more usable and more beneficial to the utilities that put them in place.

This is among the first independent reviews of utility customer service interactive voice response units (IVRUs). This report explains the findings and recommendations regarding the usability of electric and gas company IVRUs.

Research and Markets: Best Practices in Packaged Call Monitoring (Quality Management)

Dublin, (PRWEB) June 1, 2021 -- Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c18354) has announced the addition of Best Practices in Packaged Call Monitoring (Quality Management) to their offering

Packaged call monitoring or quality management (QM) applications offer an array of tools for assessing—and improving—customer service representative (CSR) performance. Screen capture, selective call retrieval powered by speech analytics, automatically generated e-learning modules, and post-transaction surveys that provide immediate customer feedback are among the most useful tools available. These applications have improved to allow more genuine monitoring for the quality of the work done, not simply its quantity.

As with any new tool, using the technology properly is crucial to getting the most out of your investment, as is change management. With call monitoring software, it is particularly important to stress the benefits of QM to CSRs, who may otherwise view increased emphasis on call monitoring as Big Brother–style micromanagement. Its a good bet that CSRs will accept the QM package as fair and functional if CSR scoring is tied to customer needs, market research, and the goals of the company; if the supervisors who use it are well-trained; and if CSRs are involved in establishing standards.

For a company that is significantly upgrading its QM equipment, it is easy to start with basic QM functions and grow into more sophisticated technologies. Plan to buy from as few different vendors as possible, however; because most vendors offer similar products, examine their service plans and references when choosing one.

Properly selected and used, quality management software can achieve its goal of helping your call center do more—and better—with less.
